I'm sure Dykstra will move up significantly in next month's rankings. When this list came out he had a whopping 36 ABs at Helena and hadn't really done much of note in AZ. I do think 39 was too low in any event. Top 20 for sure.
We used to play team handball in gym class and it's a blast. It's like soccer/lacrosse/and basketball. I was actually entertained watching the women play this afternoon - and surprisingly it was not because of their skin tight shorts.
His command was fine all through his minor league career if we go solely by his BB/9. Now I don't know if guys were swingin at junk or what but I haven't found a scouting report saying he's had command issues. I think his issues the last month or so can possibly be chalked up to fatigue. He only pitched 37 innings total last year due to injury and he's now thrown 125 so far this year.
I think it depends on how good your first baseman is offensively. That is, can he overcome his defensive deficiencies by hitting the bejeebus out of the ball and producing more runs than his D gives up.

Weeks has the fastest bat on the team. He's never late......except on throws to first base occassionally. By the way, Weeks is hitting around .269 since May 17.
I really don't understand why people care about what Yost has to say or doesn't have to say about the whole incident. He's never been very good with his words anyway and for people to disect each and every thing he says is pointless. Yeah it'd be interesting to know what happened but do we really need to hear Ned explain it? Or even be nice about it? Just resolve it internally and go win tomorrow.
I liked it. About time someone showed some real emotion on this team. I was sort of hoping they'd brawl with another team but this is the next best thing.
I base all my music listening decisions on the fanbase of the band/artist. You see, I am not very secure with myself so I don't want to be associated with particular social groups that typically listen to certain bands.
Great to see Peralta with another stellar outing (3IP, 6 Ks, 0BB). For the season he's got a 2.91 ERA, 26Ks and 7BBs in 21.2 innings. The 19 year old may be a pick to click in '09.
Lawrie's a ridiculous athlete. If anyone can quickly adapt to a position change it's him. I'd like to see what he can do at catcher before trying him somewhere else.
