One thing that certainly isnt fair is the fact that the NL central is the only division in MLB with SIX teams. How can their be a division with 4 teams and one with six? In the friggen AL west you have to only beat out THREE teams to make the postseason. In the Central, FIVE. That is hugely unfair. Bud needs to address that. Very good comment, and this is something that baffles me as well.

According to Raul Duke on the Fermaint thread, it has already happened

Anyone else a little surprised and pleased to see Ned Yost jr. having some success early on here..... I realize he was a full term college player, but he was not terribly heralded.

There?s going to be some changes in the next few days,?? said the manager. ?We?re going to get some players that?s going to help our offense.?? Katin, Salome, and Fermaint or what of that combination?

Braun's transition to the wooden bat is going well, as he has hit a double once every 11 at bats and a home run every 22 at bats.... his pop has been retained, though he needs to keep improving his w/k ratio and his error total. A 2007 ETA is still my projection. Maybe Maybin will be signed by then.

Just to note, the Dbacks do not have a lefty in their bullpen.

in 16 at bats, that hit by Magruder was the first ever by a Brewer vs. Valverde...he had gone 4 and 2/3 without a hit previously vs. the Brewers.

In his last 4 starts - Vargas has pitched 26.3 innings, given up 20 hits and just 5 runs with his 3 previous starts within those 26 innings being against the 3 first place nl clubs - the Braves, Padres, and Cards. He has pitched very well as of late.

Lee almost made that ball explode like it was made of matzos.....he hit the heck out of it, just right at Dunn.....
  24. molitor fan
Turnbow has been truly spectacular as of late.....just think where this guy has come from. High 90's heat, a decent breaking pitch, and control that has been decent given his track record....

Just wanted to pull this out from the above article because it needs to be noted...... Kotchman takes these wins against the Brewers seriously. He considers them possibly the best team in the league, and a blueprint for how to construct a roster. "They're young and really good," Kotchman said. "They've got everything. That's how you build a major league club."
