If we don't re-sign Ridnour, I wouldn't even bother with retreads like Diener and Ivey. We already know they're terrible. I'd rather take my chances with a D-League star (and there are some decent PGs out there) who hasn't been given a chance yet in the NBA - even if he sucks, he's probably still no worse than Royal Ivey. And if he's average...awesome!

Ah, so that's how I got the idea in my head that the Jerry Garcia commercials were done at Bill's house. To be fair, I'd probably swear at Chef Jerry Garcia too, if I ever saw him.

There's a guy on the New Zealand national soccer team who was out for over 2 years with an achilles injury. That's obviously not typical, but yeah, they can be pretty nasty. -
I suspect that the Heat will be just fine without a true point guard, they can just go with a cheap, undersized SG who can concentrate on getting open for 3 pointers, and not have to worry about defending taller players. Wouldn't surprise me if they bring back Damon Jones to be their Derek Fisher. It's just the other 8 roster spots that I'd be worried about. Seems that they'll have to fill the rest of it with their Bird rights guys (if they haven't already renounced them for cap space), or whoever is willing to take a minimum salary. Don't know how Mike Miller would fit. Using these "lasers", we will then penetrate this so-called "King's" knee, causing a massive ACL tear...unless...he comes to play for us?

AI said on his twitter a few days ago that he'll sign with whoever wants him, regardless of expected role. I think I'd probably still rather re-sign Ridnour.

Not sure what Bill Hall has to do with this, but my point was that the way Ken Macha handled Gamel's playing time last season does not appear to be part of a pattern at all, and that its ridiculous to freak out every time a prospect gets called up. Gamel just wasn't playing all that well, and that's probably why he didn't play very much. Yes, Hall was worse, and he got even fewer starts...imagine that.

Sure it is, that's why the refs will give an automatic penalty and a red card. To expand on the baseball analogy, after the third baseman trips a would-be scorer, it would be like having the run (more than likely) count anyway, and the team having to play without a third baseman the rest of the game.

If you look at all of the teams that do have a "superstar", how many of them could keep up with us if you take that player away? Even the Lakers - how many players do they have (minus Kobe) that would start for the Bucks? Gasol, maybe Lamar Odom? Most of these teams have a superstar and a pile of below-average players. A team made entirely of average-to-good players can definitely make up the difference IMO.

Hobson should get plenty of PG minutes in Vegas, so we'll get a little bit of an idea what he can do. If he can pull it off, that would be fantastic.

I think that's a legit possibility. If we were to trade Redd, that's probably the type of deal we would get, and I think MIN would love to unload Jefferson's contract.

There should be some more names that nobody has heard of that end up in the mix too. In '06, even Altidore wasn't really known yet, now he's an automatic selection. Hopefully another striker or two. Speaking of, wouldn't it be great if we had Vedad Ibisevic and Giuseppe Rossi?

You could try resetting your phone to defaults. I had to do this all the time with my old Windows Mobile phone. Its kind of an annoying process, but maybe the store would be willing to do it for you? -
I like it. Hopefully we'll get two more good years out of him, then, we should be able to trade his expiring contract if it looks like he's declining (which I would expect).
