"YOU ARE NOT FAST!" -Me, yelling at Brady Clark on TV "STOP TRYING TO STEAL YOU ARE NOT FAST" -Me, yelling at Brady Clark at Miller Park "WHY ARE YOU TELLING BRADY CLARK TO STEAL?" -Me, to Ned Yost Brady Clark was the master of bloop singles, plate crowding, caught stealings, and general better than Scott Podsednikness. In fact, I propose the term "bloop single" be re-named "Brady Clark hit".

    Uh oh, look what I've started! First, a team moving is different from a random nickname change (though I have called the Nationals the "Washington Expos" on occasion...I think that's a much better name TBH). Anyhow, to me, changing a team nickname is like a person getting up one day and deciding that he wants to be called "T-Bone". In this case, I picture a marketing meeting somewhere in Tampa with some guy giving a powerpoint presentation on how the new name "sounds 67% cooler", and then debating for hours on whether or not the new logo needs fangs. It's funny to me. And yes, I still say California Angels, Phoenix Cardinals, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, but I also enjoy annoying people.

    I noticed awhile back that the Royals had released Ben Hendrickson, who was subsequently picked up by the Devil Rays. They'll always be the last stop on the road to the independent leagues to me. And yes, I'm going to continue to call them the Devil Rays.

    My dad lives 3 houses from Eric Gagne. Apparently he's a big golf nut, but he hasn't really moved in yet.

    I appreciate the fact that getting in and out of Miller Park is very quick and easy. County Stadium was worse, even when game attendances were about half what they are now.

    At a Brewers - Cubs game a couple years ago, Michael Barrett came up to bat, pinch hitting for the pitcher. Some Cubs fan said "I thought he was a catcher!" My wife turned around and said "he's pinch hitting", and they said "oh ok". Then I said, in my best high-pitched dorky little kid voice, "Whats pinch hitting? Whats baseball?" One time when I was younger, some kid tried to tell me that the Brewers cheat because they have an extra glove on their hats. Was at a Brewers - Cardinals game in St Louis once. Tony Gwynn came up to bat, he had been called up recently and still had a BA over .400. The Cardinals fans around me were amazed. I heard several comments like "Wow, he must be as good as his dad!"

    I don't see the problem. If she wasn't selected to the US team, and she qualifies to play for another country, why not? Happens all the time in international sports.

    Getting off-topic, but why are there so many indoor football leagues? Why do people think it is a good idea to start a new league when 253243 others have failed? Since we have indoor football teams in every city in the US, they should set up a huge inter-league cup competition where every team from the real AFL down to these crappy regional leagues are allowed to participate. Something like that might generate a bit more interest than watching the Milwaukee Bonecrushers battle the Lehigh Valley Outlawz every week.

    The people who say that they can't tell a difference probably bought an HDTV without getting any HD programming, and just watch their existing SD content in stretch-o-vision.

    I used to talk to Russell Branyan's sister regularly on usenet, and my dad sold cars to Mike Fetters, Kevin Seitzer, and Dave Nilsson.

    I could have sworn that I saw on irs.gov a few months ago that it was an advance on next year's return. However, when I checked that same page a few days ago, it didn't say that anymore. What I want to know now is whether or not we'll get $1200 or $1500. We just had a baby in 2008. Either way, I plan on exchanging it all for Euros.

    Dark Forces series and X-Wing/TIE Fighter, definitely. Honorable mention goes to the vastly underrated PC game "Rebellion". Note that I haven't played anything that came out in the last 5 years. I tried KOTOR once, but I couldn't get into it at all.

    I recommend drupal for just about anything. It's a content management system similar to Wordpress, but always seemed to be a lot more versatile to me. There are add-on modules available for just about anything you could think of, so just about anything you may want to do is possible. I have a couple of websites using it now: http://www.colinbaker.org http://championshipatbest.com Downside is that its not a hosted solution like some of the others mentioned here, so you'll need some space on a web server someplace to install it.

    I have an old HP Laserjet 5 that I got from UW Swap for $30 a couple years ago. Still works great, haven't needed to buy new toner, and it even came with a network adapter and duplexer!

    I always thought that one year he would, completely out of nowhere, carry a respectable batting average. In that one year, he would be an MVP candidate, but then fall back to normal after. It obviously hasn't happened, but there is still time.
