  1. I think the reason they took him was because he checked all the statistical boxes. More wake than Ks, massive exit velocities, massive HR totals.
  2. I'm a dunce, I didn't get it right away. Hopefully this guy is bad name/ good game!
  3. Love it. My favorites were off the board, but then there's this guy, who simply dominated!
  4. I'd feel better about that model if we had a player in our lineup that this model produced. I agree with the pitching model, but we just threw away a 2nd rounder on Smith a few years ago.
  5. He fits the Brewers contact model, and I hope they consider it Before I finished typing, the Angel's took him
  6. He's a projected 1st rounder only because teams make huge mistakes. Bradfield doesn't belong in the 1st 2 rounds of this draft. He doesn't hit, at all. I'm petrified we might take him, based on the rumors, even though he didn't fit what we look for.
  7. I just saw Enrique Bradford mocked to the Brewers. That would be our most embarrassing pick since Corey Ray. Please pick someone who can actually hit.
  8. People keep calling Shanuel a 1B only, but he likely ends up a corner OF. I wouldn't worry too much about his poor performance in the cape code league. He was outstanding in a wood bat league the summer before.
  9. I want all hitters in a Burnes deal. We can grow our own pitcher. We can deal Burnes and still make the playoffs if we add MLB ready hitters.
  10. We need to add anyone that can hit, position is irrelevant.
  11. So who replaces Sousa today? Do they finally call up Vieira?
  12. My latest attempt had me selecting OF Chase Davis, 2B Brice Matthews, 3B Jake Gelof, SS Alex Mooney, 3B Sabin Ceballos, and 1B Brock Vrakenburg. Mooney is the only overslot player, as a draft eligible sophomore.
  13. There's a bunch of hitters better than Taylor at 18, but I love Davis at 33. Too many pitchers this early. We've proven well can build a great pitching staff without the help of highly drafted pitchers, and we remain starving for offense.
  14. The defense is still developing, but he is playing SS, He's an athlete, and should be fine when he moves back to 2nd.
  15. I landed Shanuel, Brice Matthews, Jake Gelof, and then draft eligible sophomore SS Alex Mooney in round 3. Matthews is a seriously underrated bat, especially for a 2B.
  16. I hope we land our yearly JuCo pitching steal. Avoid catchers in the top 5 rounds. Concentrate on position players early (except for JuCo pitching robbery).
  17. He has a 1,066 OPS in May, will hit AA any day now, and could still still be playing his college junior season. The Ks will fall once he gains experience against advanced pitching. It's amazing he can even survive against these pitchers with only 1 year of college starting experience.
  18. Agree that Shanuel is very tantalizing, best hitter available (to us), and that 72 walks to 14 strikeouts is fun too. They absolutely need to start drafting some actual hitters, especially after blowing it by passing on Max Wagner last year.
