If Rowdy is out, then yes. If Rowdy's knee is OK, then you know CC will go with Tellez at 1st and McScrub at DH. It's depressing.

Play the man. I know it might seem crazy to CC, but I've always thought that it's a good idea to play your best offensive player.

I don't like any idea that starts with Yelich at DH. Hiura is simply a better hitter. Yelich can be the 4th OF if they find better OFs. The money Stearns blew on him is spent money, don't let they lead to another bad decision. -
I think the owner has told Craig that his favorite player, McCutchen, must play every day. McCutchen stinks versus RHP, has for years, and has no business being in the lineup over Hiura versus a rhp.

I'm guessing you don't actually watch any games. He's made numerous adjustments, and he's hitting better up in the zone. He's easily the best hitter on the team.

McCutchen's best position isn't DH, because that position should be reserved for actual hitters.

Also, he leadoff the 7th with a strikeout. We would have won easily had he grounded weakly to shortstop.

Why couldn't he be the DH? He's better than McCutchen by a wide margin.

No, he's one of the worst hitters on the team. We have 9 hitters with a higher OPS, and that doesn't include Hiura, who outpaces Cutch by 89 points. He's not good, and hasn't been for years.

After the Brewers get Bell, we should move on from McCutchen. Attanasio will need to be shown why Cutch sucks, but it's the best thing for the versatility of the roster.

Ramon is also a low average/OBA guy, but not as good defensively in CF as Taylor. I don't care what type of hitter we acquire, as long as they're productive. More ground outs is not a priority for me

Clear upgrade over Taylor? Taylor has outplayed him so far this year. It's possible Ramon has a resurgence at the plate if dealt, but the trade will do nothing to upgrade our defense.

They only went HS in 2018 because there wasn't a college hitter to ever consider. The same with why they went with Small. The preference of Johnson will be college hitter, because the analytics favor that approach. Obviously, you can't force it if the players aren't there, but it looks like they will be this year. Getting a 3B coming off a 1.348 OPS sophomore year at #27 is light years better than pre-Johnson when we took an OF coming off a 933 OPS junior year, in the same conference. Just have to cross our fingers that Wagner lasts that long. Yes, there's way more to it than just OPS, but those things are favorable with Wagner too.

The Brewers have proven they can build a outstanding, home grown pitching staff without impact from the 1st round of the draft, and they're also proving they can't build an offense without 1st round impact bats. This draft will have some high quality college bats available at 27, so picking one of them is will be what they do in July. Green Bay native and ACC players of the year 3B Max Wagner could be there according to some mocks, and he'd be an obvious selection. He's had a monster year at the plate as a draft eligible sophomore.
