  1. I'm pretty confident you just made all of that up. Sad to say, but it's true!
  2. I'd cheer if that happened. Bring Gyorko back for 3B and I'd be thrilled. I'm just unsure if this team can pay those salaries given the financial restraints right now.
  3. I'm quite familiar with Mr. Erceg as well, he was another I kept close eye on. Hate to say he has been a disappointment, but has not lived up to expectations. It would seem he would string together a week of multi hit games and then drop off the map for the next three. With such a hole at 3B, I'd like to see him get some one on one help from anybody before the team cuts ties with him.
  4. I've followed young Mr. Gatewood since he was drafted, I thought he had turned the corner in 2018 until that knee injury derailed him and 2019 was a rather uninspiring return. I see he's a free agent this year, I sincerely hope that the team resigns him. In all honesty, I would rather see the Spanbergers, Gatewoods, Ercegs, and Rays given a shot if the plan is just to sign vets like last year. At the very least, we see what we got in them and it either works or doesn't.
  5. "Running Lean" is a nice way to put it!
  6. Jeez, if that's the plan just hand Erceg 3B and Gatewood/Spanberger can battle for 1B.
  7. If they are declining Gyorko at $3.5, it's going to be a dark winter indeed!
  8. Those that lose out on LeMahieu, will pivot to La Stella, probably taking him out of our price range. I expect another year of fishing the bottom, but value can be had there. Marwin Gonzalez?
  9. 100%, it's a been weird year all round, everyone gets a mulligan from me. Assuming next year goes as planned, if Yelich is around the same area this time next year, then I may be concerned. He'll come around though. I would give him a couple of days off to go and just relax, go for a hike, do something away from baseball for a moment.
  10. Yeah, but those 150+ K's would fit right in with the team!
  11. Yeah, but those 150+ K's would fit right in with the team!
  12. Yeah, but those 150+ K's would fit right in with the team!
  13. Well alright!! Gyorko at 1st, batting cleanup!! Come and listen to my story about a man named Jedd!
  14. If Stearns would have gotten a Philly Cheese Steak in return I would have called it a good value move. 3 ptbnl? Worth a shot, to see who can deliver. No complaints!
  15. Sad news about Manny, hope he can comeback either with the Brewers or someone else. If it's with someone else, just remember "You don't run on the Pineapple"! This is the moment we've been long waiting for though, does the Khris Davis trade start paying dividends?
  16. No matter how much you prepare, you'll never actually be prepared. Just gotta roll with it. At least through the baby phase. We are finally out of the baby phase (have ages 3, 5, 7, 9, 11), and made plenty of mistakes along the way. That's how you learn. I'm not going to lie and tell you that you'll love every minute of it, because you won't ... but at the same time, enjoy the ride. And that ride is going to get pretty rough for Ron, the darkness is falling soon for you and there's no escape. Teenage Years
  17. Washington Warriors? I'd be good with that! Some of the others bandied about, Redtails, Generals , Federals. Warriors is not offensive is it?
  18. Add Mike Leake and Ian Desmond to that list. Will be interesting to see the final numbers.
  19. Really odd thing happening here in Kentucky. I've noticed that even though KY restaurants can now open inside dining with 33% of capacity. Many of the fast food places here still have haven't opened there dining rooms, still drive thru only. The rumor floating here is they will not reopen inside until 100% capacity can happen again. Kinda glad they are doing it because I went in a little Mexican cantina and the food was just fantastic! Wondering how other states are proceeding?
  20. Honestly, I have come to quite enjoy AEW! I can always count on Chris Jericho for a good laugh!! Two words, Pineapple Pete!! :laughing
  21. Nice summary. https://fox11online.com/sports/packers-and-nfl/packers-sign-15-rookie-free-agents
  22. For those who don't think the offense is changing, lots of hints in the read. https://www.espn.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/48979/are-packers-trying-to-take-ball-out-of-aaron-rodgers-hands
  23. Since I live in the Nashville TV viewing area. I get a steady dose of Titan news year round. No issues with that type of offensive approach, what I do find worrisome is that the Titans didn't start that deep run in last years AFC playoffs until they benched Marioto in week 7 and went with Ryan Tannehill. It hints that a Marioto or Love style QB is not necessary in order for the scheme to be effective. And yes, I'm thinking Love's ceiling is Marcus Mariota, not Mahomes.
  24. LaFleur is moving the offense to a more 2018 Tennessee Titan approach. Short passes and a clock eating, pound the ball style. The Dillon pick explained, plus no need to draft a WR to be a deep down field threat, we already have one, Adams. The Love pick? LaFleur wants to try another Marcus Mariota type in his system, he thinks he can still make it work.
