  1. Likewise, with the way he pitched though,I knew someone was going to open the bank for him.
  2. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/11/padres-to-sign-drew-pomeranz.html Reporting a 3 year deal, cannot wait to see the overpay the Padres did. So to answer your question, nah!!
  3. And then this pops up: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/11/orioles-reportedly-working-to-trade-dylan-bundy.html Got me thinking, DS seems to make moves quickly.
  4. With Grisham traded, this might work now.
  5. One of the pitchers I thought the Brewers could sneak in and sign on the cheap.
  6. WOW! Did Stearns just rob the Padres? Opens up a lot of questions, but on the surface this is an amazing trade for the Brewers and a headscratcher for SD.
  7. Considering how much attention Moose is getting, I'm starting to think that only a 3 year deal will get him back.
  8. Just watched an inning he pitched against the D-Backs, topping out with an 85mph fastball and 65mph changeup! A RH Claudio?
  9. That entire situation needs careful review. What was Rudolpf doing? Was his hand caught in Garretts helmet or just playing dirty? Garrett needs to get a LONG suspension and fine. Pouncy kicking Garrett on the ground and Ogunjobi with the blindside shove. NFL needs to come down hard!
  10. I'm starting to think that both Moustakas and Grandal will be somewhere else next year. Back up plan? As I don't trust Shaw to bounce back, a one year deal with Todd Frazier would be OK with me. As far as C, I would start Pina with Nottingham getting 60 or so starts. Hey, what's Kratz doing these days?
  11. Looking at the FA list, I'm just not seeing a major upgrade over Thames. Castellanos looks great in the batting order, but him and Hiura would be a defensive circus on that side of the infield. A trade? Maybe. A Shaw/Braun platoon? Possible. Grandal? Expensive. How about moving Hiura to 1B?
  12. Good trade. I was not in favor of bringing Chase back at that price. Thought they would just cut ties and move on, getting Spanberger back is a plus. Good luck Chase, now watch him go win the AL Cy Young next year!
  13. Find it hard to believe the Astros left Miley off the WS roster. I know he kinda wore down towards the end of the regular season, but to go all righthanders is risky to me. Come on back to the Brewers Wade, we love you!! LOL
  14. Grandal is going to get a big payday and I'm a little leery of giving a 31 year old catcher a four or five year contract. Pina is the primary, Nottingham backing up with a couple of starts each week.
  15. They didn't show it but they talked about it as it was happening. How can they top the Game 3 antics? Check this out! Yankees as a team, I have no problem with. It's the fans!! https://sports.yahoo.com/yankees-fans-zack-greinke-social-anxiety-032417563.html
  16. So, is everyone in agreement that Jacob Nottingham is at best a 4A player then and will never be a major contributor to the team? I'd like to give the kid a shot and see what he can do.
  17. Would love it if they put a Chotchkie's in there. Now THAT place has some serious flair. For 10 seconds, you had me thinking "that place is real?"
  18. I was trying to figure out who made you so angry and why you were trying to get past the filter...took me a second. You weren't the only one who had to stare at that a minute before he got it!
  19. Thank you!! I know LA is not going to trade Lux. I'm shooting for a 1b,3b, and one of the minors top prospects in Ruiz. Ruiz teams with Pina. 1b and 3b are blackholes in our system, sorry Erceg and Gatewood, Rios and Santana have a better shot at contributing at the MLB level than they are. All for a one inning pitcher. Let's not repeat the mistakes we made with Domingo Santana and Jesus Aguilar and wait for Haders value to bottom out then trade.
  20. One of most essential pieces is a one inning pitcher? Yelich is essential, Hader is a luxury. I see that kind of thinking everyday when i drive down the road and see a 50 thousand dollar truck parked in front of a 20 thousand dollar trailer!
  21. Rios is a DH. He's a butcher at 1B and much worse in the OF and 3B. No thanks. Santana stunk in AAA last year and has to prove he's even close to MLB material. Ruis is one of the top catching prospects, but not worth Hader. Rios at 1b https://dodgerblue.com/dodgers-news-edwin-rios-worked-with-barry-larkin-to-improve-defense-versatility/2019/07/01/. Doesn't appear to be a "butcher". That's Christian Santana 3b, not Dennis. Sorry for not making that clearer. Ruiz, #33 on top 100 Prospect Watch. For a one inning relief pitcher, who can only go every few days? I like Hader, but Brewers need to cash out now before he's traded in a couple of years for Jake Faria II.
  22. Someone is going to pay Grandal a big contract. A 31 year old catcher, when some are already complaining about 33 year old CF? Pass! Reds zeroing in on Yaz. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/mlb/reds/2019/10/01/yasmani-grandal-cincinnati-reds-reportedly-interested-in-brewers-all-star-catcher/3836840002/
  23. Hader is the only expendable major trade chip we have and the Dodgers do match up well. If they come up and offer Ruiz, Rios and Santana for Hader. I believe I would do that. That trade would solve quite a few issues for the future. Then again, I'm sure the Marlins thought Brinson would be paying dividends now.
  24. When first announced, I hated the trade. Just thought that Santana could bring alot more than Gamel and Zavolas, in hindsight though, your analysis is 100% correct!
  25. Not the way I wanted to end, but all in all, this team did alot better than I anticipated at the beginning of the year. They made the playoffs, when i didn't think they could and did it with band-aids and sutures! There's alot to be addressed and alot to be proud of!
