    I've never understood the fascination with crocs. I've tried on a pair and I didn't think they were that comfortable. It also seems like they would really make your feet sweat. Sandals are another story. The problem is just finding a decent pair. I have this pair of adidas ones that are comfy. I dunno...I usually just wear shoes and rock the sock tan all summer.

    @ Atlanta 1-2 @ Cincinnati 2-1 Washington 3-1 @ San Diego 2-1 @ LA 1-2 Houston 2-1 Pittsburgh 2-1 @ St. Louis 1-1 @ Pittsburgh 1-2 15-12 is what I'm looking at. I don't care how bad Pittsburgh is, the Brewers stink there. I could also see them dropping both games in St. Louis and just as easily lose two in San Diego, but I'm trying to stay optimistic.

    I really don't get it why Branyan isn't in the lineup against Harden. Is Counsell really a better option? If Yost wanted to get him in the lineup, why not start him at second?

    I haven't caught the beginning of a single game in this series. Every time I turn the TV on, the Brewers are down 1-0. What's up with that? It just drives me nuts, why not just spot them the run to begin with? So I sit and watch a few innings of decent baseball before everything goes down the crapper. I also haven't watched the ending of a single game in this series. Tonight I just couldn't take it and I left to do more productive things. I'm usually pretty even keel when it comes to losing games, but for some reason, this series bothers me.

    Speaking from recent experience, the crazy thing tends to follow some guys. That is probably true, but I think a lot of guys bring it on themselves too. One of my former roommates had this girl break up with him after 3 years, and then she kept jerking him around, messing around with him and then ditching and ignoring him. That went on for months, and then he started seeing another girl who turned out to be just as crazy. Then both of them were doing the same thing to him at the same time. The thing is, he never does anything about it and just likes the attention. He's very desperate for companionship, and I think some of the real crazies pick up on that. I mean, if a guy is paying attention, shouldn't he be able to pick out and avoid the ubercrazies? The ones that don't seem to care who they're with should probably expect that. Not saying that's you 2K8, I know I've had my share of crazies. the bottom line is that men are weak Honestly, I think this is true. Too many guys do give in. I don't think of myself as a weak person and I'm fairly stubborn, but I wouldn't want someone the opposite of me. I like strong women who aren't afraid to speak their mind and argue with me and challenge me.

    Pittsburgh Post Gazette says that the Pirates have been talking with the Rays about Jason Bay. Link I don't remember where I read it, but apparently, David Price is still off limits, but the Rays would be inclined to include Reid Brignac and Jeff Niemann. Also, ESPN was reporting in their Trade Deadline blog that the Rays have contacted the Reds asking about Adam Dunn as a Plan B if they aren't able to land Bay.

    If Boston can land Bay as well, I don't think this would be a completely horrible move for them. When it was just them and the Marlins, I couldn't understand why they would make the trade, but substituting Bay for Hermida makes more sense.

    I honestly think this would be a great move for the Marlins. I don't really see what they have to lose. They've homered their way to success so far this year, why not add another very potent bat right in the middle, especially if Boston would pick up a large chunk of Manny's remaining salary. They have just as good of a shot as anyone else in that division, but offense isn't really the issue. They're 7th in the NL in OPS, but 14th in team ERA and have a -31 run differential. They definitely need pitching more, but at least Manny the Marlin would be entertaining.

    No, it could be worse. I hate going to a public bathroom and hearing people talking on the phone while dropping a deuce. I honestly wonder what's so important that it can't wait. Sure, I've talked on the phone while in the bathroom, but it's always at home.

    5) Better chance of finding a woman who isn't "deemed crazy" by my fellow guy friends. All that really matters is what she is to you, who cares what anyone else thinks. I want to second this sentiment. I'm dating a girl right now that my friends never seemed to be that fond of, but I'm absolutely crazy about. I mean, there are three guys that I really value the opinion of, but in this instance, it wouldn't really be an informed opinion. Say you actually find someone that you really like and have the potential to be with for a long, long, long time. Do you throw that away because your buddies think that's a bad idea? They don't have to live your life, you're the one that has to do that. As long as you're cool with your decisions, that's all that matters. FTJ, not all babies are cute. There are definitely some ugly ones out there. Too true, Liz. One of my friends had a baby a few months ago, and good lord she was an ugly baby. She's gotten cuter lately though. That's a plus.

    OK, I realize that it isn't realistic that CC will resign next season, but I'm kinda getting concerned about the high pitch counts that he's had. Can Ned honestly have him throw 120 every start and expect him to finish the season effectively? I don't see how he can continue to hold up if he keep getting this kind of workload. Maybe he'll help the team to the postseason, but if he can't pitch in it, they where are they?

    The Brewers are still three games up in the wild card standings and there's still two months left in the season. If they do well against the Cubs, all will be forgotten.
