  1. Trying to figure out the Colorado Springs Roster. Dubon and Brinson are active again. Garcia to AA where Houle goes on the DL. Kohlscheen to "Helena". If it's true that Blazek was optioned and Phillips recalled, that leaves them with 10 position players (3 catchers) and 15 pitchers.
  2. I think people were also thinking that since we're out of Brevard, High A offensive numbers should be going up this year. It's our first taste of Carolina and we may need to reset our expectations for offense.
  3. http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2017/07/06/notes-brewers-sign-high-school-outfielder-tristen-lutz/450964001/ So Sogard was hurt because he was surprised by a stop sign?
  4. Villar with a CS. Looks like he's ready to go.
  5. Cordell has played a grand total of 14 games at short in his entire minor league career. And his fielding percentage at SS or 3B is about the same as Braun's at 3B. There is a 1% chance that Cordell ever plays a major league game at SS, so the discussion is moot.
  6. Here are the current Pioneer locations. http://billsportsmaps.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/milb_2013_pioneer-league_segment_b.gif
  7. So do the Brewers want their rookie+ team in Colorado Springs or will they be looking for other options there as well? Brewers haven't had a rookie team change since 2003 when they moved Odgen to Helena. I suppose they could stay with Colorado Springs for their rookie team to keep the ownership group happy and not get kicked to the curb in AAA. And it would be a great facility for a rookie level team (minus the pitching issues).
  8. Colorado Springs is still down a man. Will Shahill accept the assignment?
  9. I see Ventura and Snow are back in AAA.
  10. They've played 9 more games at home vs away. That means they've got a lot more road games coming up, where they have played better.
  11. No details of what's wrong. He can be gone 3-7 days. http://m.brewers.mlb.com/news/article/235444308/brewers-travis-shaw-on-medical-leave/
  12. So who starts game 2 of the double-header on the 13th? Garza isn't eligible to return until the next day.
  13. Or ship out a crappy reliever. They may not need an 8 man pen with the starters going deeper lately.
  14. The Brewers will be in first place in June.
  15. As someone who suffers from cluster headaches I feel his pain. I get them the same time of year every few days for about a month, then they're gone until next year (episodic). Some people have them all the time (chronic). They are excruciating and not a lot of great treatments (oxygen and some nasty drugs. Regular paid meds don't help). I can see him not being able to play, even with treatment, until his cluster period ends.
  16. That's what happens when juicers stop juicing. The bigger question is who would get the call if Pina goes to the DL?
  17. I'm a bit surprised they didn't call up a bat for a few days while Shaw is out. The bench is really short-handed now.
  18. Everyone is at or above .500 now.
  19. Archer is another one having success by not walking people. No walks in AAA so far.
  20. The Sky Sox rotation (outside of Hader) is showing how you can be successful in Colorado Springs, limit walks. BB/9 innings: Woodruff-1.84 Espino-1.15 Burgos-1.78 Suter-2.35
  21. Noriega activated and moved to Biloxi because they need 7 infielders, while CS only needs 4.
  22. Blazek had to make it interesting, but it was an organizational sweep. Not sure what is more rare this year, a sweep or actually having all teams playing.
  23. The guys on the 40 man (Phillips, Brinson, Cordell, Reed) have all used an option for the year already, so it doesn't matter how often you bounce them up and down this year.
  24. You might want to fix the date on the link report. I thought it was an old thread that got bumped.
