    Jason Jaramillo was taken just before Cordier by the Phillies. Jordan Timm (UW-Oshkosh) was taken # 417 by Toronto.

    Beranek doesn't appear to have been selected in the first 18 rounds....so he will probably attend UNLV.

    No Baseball America information on LeClerq. Pick # 12: no profile; listed as 17th best player in Canada. Pick # 13: no info. Pick # 14: Pick # 15: no info. Not exactly what you're looking to hear about mid-round picks.

    The BA report on Sollman: Two walks per strikeout? Sounds like a good pick for a tenth rounder. I can hear the Mark Loretta comparisons already. [FYI, I'll be running an errand for about the next half-hour. If anyone else wants to fill in the Baseball America draft reports, go ahead. If not, I can fill in the gaps when I return.]

    I've had Valiquette's profile up since about the 3rd round, fully expecting him to be the Canadian pitcher the Brewers drafted. (He went a few picks later in the 7th.)     Since I'm so often critical of the guy, I have to give Hall some credit for staying disciplined & drawing the walk. Now lets hope the Brewers can get some runs with the bases loaded!
