This link is said to be for subscribers only, but it actually still has 2003 data. www.baseballamerica.com/cgi-bin/03draftdb_rnd.cgi?rnd=12 Not a lot of 12th rounders signed last year, apparently. That said, it appears as though the two players with leverage (1 HS, 1 DFE) signed for nearly twice as much as the two college players. #344 - Matt Pulley, 3b (HS) - $65,000 #350 - Jayson Rodriguez, rhp (CC) - $60,000 #351 - James Paduch, rhp (college) - $30,000 #353 - Joe Mazzuca, ss (college) - $25,000 Other notes: -Apparently, only one of the players in the 13th round signed, but he did so for ~ second round money ($750,000) -Bonuses varied greatly between the 4 11th rounders who signed, from $7,500 (Oakland) to $140,000 (Anaheim)....so the team that drafted the player may be a factor as well.
