  1. and now lucroy goes yard while i take the dogs out (and watch through a window). That's it. I'm not sitting on my couch for the rest of the game.
  2. it's not faster, but on a throw off the bag it is a good play to avoid the tag. much smarter to do it feet first....not that anyone ever does.
  3. the one time it's actually smart to slide into first (although head first is really never smart) and he gets hurt. of course he does.
  4. Not ever batter, but about 7 more times would be appreciated! i think i can handle 7 more. might be regretting it come test time at 8 am. but hey, gotta do my part.
  5. so i go crack a beer and rickie goes yard. do i have to do this for every batter....? cause that could get dangerous.
  6. furcal pulls an outside pitch with one hand out of the park. narveson left that up....but good lord. just can't catch a break. everything is hit well.
  7. I understand not using Gallardo. I agree 100% with holding off Yo for game 7. It's pretty clear something is wrong with Marcum though, and I think Narveson/the pen was the way to go. No matter, it's over now....focus on the next 8 innings.
  8. very close. good pitch by marcum. It looked like a slider...might have moved around the plate, i.e. crossed the plate inside, ended up in luc's glove looking like a strike.
  9. good to see him use it for sure, but he's leaving it up so far.
  10. the furry guy from monster's inc. aka beast mode. can't remember the last time I saw Yuni even get after one of those ball. good start.
  11. Yep. Hoped it wasn't. But it was.yep, definitely was hoping for Hank. But Sully was very predictable the more and more I thought about it. Hopefully we'll see Hank on Wednesday.
  12. McCalvy: "Haha to the ceremonial first pitch. I'll save the surprise to you can see it yourself." Gotta be monsters inc, right?
  13. please don't chase jackson's slider. it's far and away his best pitch, so don't do him the favor of chasing it. If he can't throw it for strikes, then sit back and tee off on the fast ball. obviously easier said than done...but be smart up there boys.
  14. I could see Hoffman and Hell's Bells getting the crowd into the game from the start, which is important. But I don't think it'll be too big of a problem to get the crowd excited. More and more I think about it, the more a "surprise" makes me think it'll be Monster's Inc.
  15. I would add Molitor to that list as well...but I don't think it's very likely. I'm hoping it's not Monster's Inc, that just doesn't feel right. I think it will be (and am hoping it is) Aaron...I think it would get the crowd jacked and maybe inspire the players a little bit (wishful thinking?).
  16. Come on Ryan, time for some redemption (well not really redemption....you've been awesome. But I KNOW you're not happy about the way the AB against Dotel ended). This is Lynn's last hitter, need to keep it going before they bring in scrabble to face prince. could make TLR look like a genius, and I don't need that right now.
  17. gotta have an inning here right now Crew. Get it started.
  18. #1 is pretty crazy. I still can't believe he struck out on that pitch. As far as #2, I wonder how many times that has actually happened (no starters making it more than 5 IP).
  19. I don't disagree with starting Narveson...but I think with Marcum you'll get the same idea. Give him the start, and if there's any trouble be ready for Narveson/Johnny Wholestaff. I don't think Marcum will have much of a leash.
  20. the first sign of trouble was a walk to Holliday (and I think someone was warming up after that). An error and an infield hit were the other two baserunners. Zack did a great job that inning I didn't see them going to the phone until after the infield hit. Regardless, Greinke did do well to get out of that inning.well yea, because he was pitching well. were they supposed to go to the phone after pujols reaching 2nd on an error?
