  1. The reason football gets away with it is that they are far better at PR than MLB. Always have been. People seem to believe that it's coincidence that there are all of these 6' 5" 300 lb guys that can run 40 yards in under 5.00.
  2. He might be able to skate on a suspension again because of that, but if the other 10 guys got PED's, I don't think Braun was getting multivitamins.
  3. The NY media used to rip him when he was the best player in the league. He certainly shouldn't do anything to appease them or out of fear of what they will say about him. Take every penny and hang out in Miami.
  4. How many offseasons did Braun work out with A-Rod? Wasn't that a thing for a while?
  5. I love mlb.tv as a fan of west coast teams because I can watch those games on demand the next day without having to stay up late. And the quality on my PS3 is great.
  6. Back in the day, EDR and I used to debate here who was better between Crosby and Betancourt. Little did we know.
  7. Rock/Cena last year was the most lucrative pro wrestling show ever, so I would think they would be cool with that again. Punk isn't a draw. Rock is and so is Cena to a lesser extent. Punk's role is to have a good match and put Rock over strong and have some good promo battles with him. I have no problem with it being predictable because that usually means it makes sense and I am more interested in Mania this year than I was last year. I am curious what kind of match Punk and Taker will have. I'm interested in what they do with Ryback and The Shield, etc.
  8. Rock came back to win the belt of off Punk at Rumble. That's the whole point. He can go on a media tour and take the belt with him between Rumble and Mania. He's also supposed to work at Elimination Chamber.
  9. He was even better on Ron & Fez when he would just randomly call in. Hilarious.
  10. The only one I would have issue with is Smith, and that's mainly because I have a bit of a closer bias. And I don't think it would be a sham if he went in.
  11. My favorite album of the year was Patterson Hood's "Heat Lightning Rumbles In The Distance". Others I liked: Chris Knight - "Little Victories" Tim Barry - "40 Miler" JKutchma & The Five Fifths - "Pastoral" Doc Dailey & Magnolia Devil - "Catch The Presidents" Cheap Girls - "Giant Orange"
  12. Too bad. Always loved him as a player.
  13. Ziggler is my favorite, but I think the best thing for business would be to give Cena the briefcase so he can use it vs Rock. I would have Ryback win the Rumble and challenge Big Show at Mania and be the new top guy on Smackdown after he beats him. If things broke right, Ryback could get hot enough that they could turn Orton finally. Everything is certainly pointing toward Ziggler winning on Sunday, though, and Cena doesn't really need any gimmicks to challenge Rock at Mania.
  14. Aww, man, Lucroy said he really liked Milwaukee!
  15. I like the few times a year when the Briscoes get to have good wrestling matches, because they are really good wrestlers as well as being good characters. You going to ROH at Turner in January?
  16. I look forward to seeing people moan about the FCW guys just being geeks for Ryback to beat up. Of course they are. They have a couple months to fill for Ryback until Punk drops the title. Then Ryback can destroy Punk at Mania. It will probably be too late for him, though, since he will have already failed three times by then and at Mania the belt won't (or shouldn't) be on the line.
  17. Deadspin had a perfect headline and final sentence in their story on this deal.
  18. I thought it was actually pretty good. Punk is by far the best at being a heel WWE has right now. It was just cheap heat. Doesn't build to anything at all. I turned it off before it even got to the fake heart attack and Foley. It was go away heat, that's not heel heat.
  19. Punk is just so lacking in heat that they had to put him in the Lawler thing. I hope next week he talks about how Owen Hart should have learned how to use a harness. What complete garbage the WWE is.
  20. I love the DH so much, I would early vote for it.
  21. Clearly, DM sees a bit of himself on the upper lip of Olmsted, and that helps his chances.
  22. They seem more athletic than they have in the past couple years, so that is fun to watch.
  23. That mustache is terrific.
