  1. Agreed. It reminds me of the old Packers logo with Wisconsin in the background. I love it, and wouldn't mind if it got incorporated more often.
  2. 5 have had it retired (3, 14, 15, 66, 92). Hornung is the "Fake 6th" and Favre will be the official 6th. Also #1, which has only been worn by Curly Lambeau.
  3. Driver was never an all pro, he never lead the league in Rec yards, catches, TDs, or any other important stat. He never had a 100 catch season, or had double digit TD year. By comparison, Sterling Sharpe played half as long as DD, yet Driver only has 150 more catches than he does. Driver was never the #1 option while he was here, with the exception of maybe 1-2 years. Ahman Green is the Packers all time leading rusher, that doesn't make him great in my mind either. If you play long enough in a league that is more offensive(specifically passing) minded than ever before with one sure fire HOFer, and one probable HOFer, you will climb up the all time charts too. Don't get me wrong, i love DD. But he is VASTLY overrated by our fan base. He will be, and should be in the Packers HOF. But that is where it stops.
  4. I used to be a big Rome guy, until i found out he has writers write his "takes" for him. Just isn't the same for me now. As for Mohr, i gave him a try. However that didn't last very long as i turned the channel IMMEDIATELY the first time i heard him say the term "Mohrriors". It took all the self control i had not to punch my radio in rage. I am a huge fan of the DP show, so i'm happy with that.
  5. http://www.speedtest.net/result/2429165779.png I love me some Docsys 3.0
  6. My brother in law gave me a 18x38 black and white picture of the home plate entrance(center is the home plate store) he took before a game. It's very well done. He also gave me a fitted 1970s Brewers home cap(the block M). I LOVED it, as i wear a size 8, and American Needle only made them up to size 7 3/4.
  7. NY post has the 7 schools leaving the Big East today. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/college/basketball/big_east_basketball_only_schools_c2PMii2vTg8twF80US3G6H
  8. Loved the book, probably won't see the movie.
  9. Where do you see $28 ? Yea, it was $35 for me.
  10. Wow. Enjoy the NBA dude. It's so much fun. Meh, the NFL is here, and by the time the playoffs are here, i expect the NHL lockout to end(I highly doubt it lasts to the winter classic). That will take me to March Madness, and then obviously Spring Training. No reason ever to watch the NBA.
  11. I'm pretty much in the same boat. I drank a TON in college, and now that i am out and working third shift, i find myself drinking less, but still a lot. I probably go through 3 a work day(none usually on weekends), with almost all of them happening at work. I actually drank LESS until i started this third shift job about 6 months ago(maybe 1 a day, at most). I assume I'll cut back once i get a regular hours job. For now, daddy needs his caffeine intake.
  12. I'd pay big bucks to have a bobble of bernie shootin the guns and winking. That would be the greatest.
  13. two morons driving up the price. Nothing to see here.
  14. Starting today, whenever I'm unsure of anything, I'm just going to throw my arms in the air and signal Touchdown.
  15. Favorite one i saw today: "I used to me the MVP candidate, but now that belong to Braun."
  16. They just ended it with a Bacon Coffin(that's a coffin with a bacon color scheme). This might have been the greatest Woot off ever.
  17. Tailgating is wonderful. I enjoy the comradery of the fans around you(even those you don't know), hanging out with friends, drinking beers, playing bags(or whatever your choice of game is) and grilling out.....then walking in to enjoy a baseball game. It's basically a giant party before a baseball game. While i agree tailgating isn't necessary before every game, i think it can really enhance the experience if you are going with a group of friends.
  18. Hawing, i do that even if my line has 3 people in it. I'm always looking for the most efficient way out. If those old birds want to waste their day waiting in line, then fine. But people like us have better things to do! And pointing out the fault in shopping at the wrong time when THEY are also there, seems pretty stupid.
  19. I'd have to say the most memorable thread for me was the one where a poster claimed to know more about baseball than the rest of us because he "played in college". After some detective work, Brian found out that the poster was on the practice squad briefly one year. Most memorable game thread was the grilled cheese game.
  20. Thought it said confrence, my bad. Lack of sleep = poor reading.
  21. The argument is that because he was injury prone, he wasn't a good pitcher.
  22. I understand you are using health as a measurement for success. That's fine. I assume you put a lot of weight in that stat when saying sheets only had 2 good years. So how many starts does a pitcher need to miss in order to downgrade him from having a "great" year to a "very good" year, and from "very good" to "good"? If the pitcher has a 1.01 WHIP and an ERA of let's say, 2.80 but misses 5 starts is he no longer having a great year, and only a good year? What if he misses 8 starts? I'm just trying to better understand your criteria. I don't believe in signing most pitchers to long term deals(and by that, i mean more than 4 years).
  23. I'm not sure i completely follow you. Are you trying to say that his stats would have been worse if he wouldn't have been hurt, because he would have faced more teams?
  24. Wow. I'd say the 76ers have a better chance, since they just picked up Bynum.
  25. that's just not true. While his last several years were injury filled, he was very good for the last 5 years he was here(which is what made his injuries so frustrating). He put up WHIPs of .983, 1.066, 1.094, 1.238 and 1.150. The man had a career ERA of 3.72 and a WHIP of 1.201 for some of the worst teams in Brewers history.
