  1. Those last 3 innings were the best Marcum has looked in a long time. He really got in a groove.
  2. Apparently the Padres have moved the fences back after Braun's explosion.
  3. Well the Willie Mays 4 HR game at County Stadium was last night's anniversary...and that was close but not quite for Brauny. Maybe we'll get a close scare from Mat the batt and he'll be back after a 15 day stint in the whirlpool. What's tomorrow's anniversary...Hindenberg, Titanic or LaRussa's birthday? With Suppan pitching the compares could be endless.
  4. Gonzalez has been everything he was advertised as this year. Just a terrific fielder.
  5. Uggh...reminds me of Yo finishing the inning with a torn ACL in Chicago. I hope he just hyperextended it. The summer of Ish could be a long one.
  6. Good stuff sdcheezhd. They kept showing a group of guys on TV down behind the dugout down the 3d base line. It sounded like a fair number of Brewers fans, you could hear almost as much cheering as boos for Braun. Probably more due to the sparse crowd. He's going to get lit up in LA...hope he can respond the same way
  7. Braun is locked in. Hardricourt was saying on the radio today he wasn't worried about Braun since he was starting to drill balls the opposite way...he sure is.
  8. Carlos is even hitting Righties...unreal. Nice controlled stroke to take it the opposite way too.
  9. I guess this is the first fallout from the Narveson injury. Estrada would still be out there.
  10. Just because someone makes a ton of dough doesn't mean he won't make mistakes, including mental ones. They really aren't correlated. If he was just dogging it and milking it for the paycheck that's a different story.
  11. Joe West is a joke. I wonder if RR revises his Estrada plan if Marcum can't make it out of the 5th.
  12. I have the MLB.tv going on computer, hit the pause button about 15 seconds, then have the Brewers audio off the iphone. It's kinda working, but the video keeps buffering so I have to adjust. Marcum is off...if we can hang around .500 until our pitchers start grooving, we'll be in good shape. I could see this team getting on a nice run at some point.
  13. I just don't get that in the 5th with a good hitter and a pitcher on the ropes.
  14. Beach balls...that may be the only thing Dodgers fans do better than Brewers fans...then again it is the highlight of the game out here.
  15. We should just let Braun have a few days off and send him down to St Louis to buy the Cards a few drinks after the game...maybe even share some glasses and silverware.
  16. There is just no reason to rush Peralta. Yes, he has upside that Estrada doesn't have but Estrada is not a a big drop off from Narvy. Why not bring up Peralta when they are more certain he's ready? They have reason for some caution now...I think that's reasonable. This probably won't be the last injury this year...Peralta will get his chances. If not this year, he'll get his shot at the rotation next year. There's no reason to rush. Really bummed about Narvy, he's a solid 5th starter. Doesn't sound good though. Glad the rotation goes 7 deep.
