  1. I guess Radio it is! Nothing better than listening to the Brewers while working. Stay hot Milwaukee!
  2. I got my internet back and was able to listen to the game last night (2 week layoff). Awesome win and I'm looking forward to Yo getting after them tonight!
  3. Have not seen anything for the forecast there but I'm really hoping for baseball. I have not been able to sit down and watch for a week now and tonight I can. So all I want is to watch a little Brewer baseball and have the middle of our order heat up!
  4. I think Macha sent a message to the pen that there aren't too many secure spots so you better step up. Also I think he was saying that he doesn't care what your title is (setup man, closer, etc) because if you aren't pitching well you aren't getting the ball. I also agree that Yost would never have done this and sometimes showed way too much faith in his guys even if they were in a slump. Once Hoffman gets back that should solidify things but right now it's up for grabs.
  5. Way to small of a sample size right now. The only thing I worry about is that those two might start to doubt themselves at this point. If it gets in their head that they are better batters in the other spot then they are doomed and they need to switch them back. If they can stay mentally tough then they are probably better off in their new slots. You know how superstitious baseball players are though......
  6. I believe it is important that Yo comes out and pitches a solid game to get our pitchers back on track. I'm sure the pitchers heard all the whispers this off season about how they would not be good. We need Yo to come out and show that we do have hope in that department. I hope the offense continues to play well. They really looked good at the plate yesterday.
  7. I think we just let him roll. He is going to have horrible games but will hopefully mix in pretty good games as well. When he's off and we aren't scoring runs, keep him out there and make him work. If we are still in the game and he's getting rocked you have to pull him. It just seems like when things are bad, they are really bad for him. Macha needs to recognize when he's having those types of games and act accordingly. I hope he bounces back for his second start.
  8. I agree, tim is getting a lot of questionable calls especially because he's not hitting his spots. Let's keep scoring!
  9. Wow Soup, lets go! I guess we knew we'd have to score 7 or 8 runs a game a lot of times to win, this is no exception to that.
  10. I have my fingers crossed for Brewers baseball today. I hope we get this in. Also, I hope the Soup gets us 6/7 quality innings today. Keep the sticks hot too!
  11. Rest, yes, platoon, no. There should be no thought of them getting "equal playing time." 1 day off a week is a totally different story.
  12. Question: How can we trade Gwyn when teams know he's about to go on waivers? Wouldn't that carry 0 value? I'm sad to see him go, I always wanted TGJ to make it. I love the speedy CF type that plays good D but he could never put it all together. He always seemed likeable and very happy to be out on the baseball field. Hope he makes it somewhere else!
  13. Let's not get crazy here. We need Cam in there as much as possible. His deffense is really good and that's what we need. Duffy is a sub and that's all.
  14. Yep, I'm excited for him!
  15. If we can pay JJ and have him move that would be the best case scenario. I'd love to see him at 2nd! If he won't move I think by far our best move is to trade him after the season. I hate to say that because he's a great player and great guy. But we have to remember this is a business and trading Escobar is not as good of a move for the organization.
  16. Ok, so I have not seen much out there on Casey so I'm wondering if he is going to make the squad? The guy is killing the ball right now and I hope that he makes the squad. I'm wondering if people have seen anything on the chances of him making it and what the overall feeling is on him. Love to hear everyone's opinion. Only negatives I see (from a quick glance) is he's a righty and he's not walking at all. Of course he only has a few k's right now too so the walk thing isn't bothering me as much.
  17. I'm glad we get to see the youngsters work today. See what they got. Yo's looking good so far!
  18. This is a really tough one. I guess what the Brewers have to do is figure out who they are going to build this team around. If they pick Hardy as one of the guys then keep him at SS and trade Escobar. If they feel like he's not as valuable and there won't be much drop off when replacing him for a cheaper player then that asnwers that question. Has there ever been any talk abouit him at 2nd? I just don't see Weeks pulling it together (even though I'm cheering for him like crazy).
  19. Do work Parra! Boy Rickie needs to get back on track here, he's got to start showing he can hit the ball!
  20. What it comes down to is we want people on base and in scoring position when Braun and Fielder are at the plate. So puting these guys 2nd is really dumb. You don't want Prince batting 2nd to set the plate for someone (besides Braun). Also, the ultimate goal for your leadoff is to be in scoring position by the time Braun and Fielder come up. That's why Hardy is a great 2 hitter because he sees pitches and can bunt. The more pitches he can look at the more atttempts Weeks has to steal 2nd. Now I like Hart batting one but he's a good RBI guy and having him there gives us a big drop off in protection behind Prince. I think Hart is too valuable in the 5 spot and if he's not there Prince will not see the pitches we need him to see. So if you don't like Weeks 1 the only other viable option is Cam and I don't know what I think of that.
  21. Gobias - When did weeks admidt that? Never heard that info and that makes me nervous now. If he doesn't have the mind set to be in there then we should be looking at other options. I'm still thinking we should give him another chance, if he wants it. I'm still about Hardy batting 1 but I think I'm the only one who likes that idea.
  22. Ueck - "Milton Bradley up to bat..........you know some people call him "meltdown"...............(long pause before saying anything else)" Hahaha. I love Bob, he cracks me up. Good to see Cam get a jack early!
  23. I liked him. I think it will take awhile before we get used to him but he's got a great voice and meshes with Ueck. Hopefully it continues to get better.
  24. Game 2! Looking forward to listening in while a huge snow storm dumbs on us. I liked Provus game one. He has a great voice and compliments Ueck well. I'm looking forward to hearing more and I think he will do well.
  25. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Finally we have some spring games to listen to! I'm way too excited for a spring training game, but I love it. I started a quick in game thread so hopefully some of you will be listening today. The regular season is right around the corner. (edit: punctuation in title --1992)
