    Agreed, losing to them would be the worst thing ever. That being said, home field and the joy of beating them would be such a great feeling. Man this will be a battle. I don't think anyone likes the Cards outside of St Louis. Everyone here in Cincy says, "I don't care what happens, as long as the Cards don't win!" They are on our side, which is fun.

    WOW, still don't know how to handle this. My wife was worried about me as well. She said, "I've never seen you like this before." And this is a guy who could barely handle last years NFC championship and Super Bowl. This was way worse!!! I seriously love how Gomez has accepted his role and really been a key cog for us. Kudos! Big ups to T-Plush! I do agree that Yo was a bulldog tonight. He threw a lot of pitches but did not give in at all. He was a beast. And yes, Lucroy was an unreal wall. He needs an ice bath!

    I have to say this game was the most stressful sporting event I've ever watched. I honestly was sick to my stomach the whole game and couldn't watch the end. I put Ueck on, sat on the stairs so I couldn't see the tv and just listened. Wow, what an unreal win!

    Agreed. I want to give props to DM and RR. I know they get bashed on here a lot but we won 96 GAMES THIS YEAR! I think that was more than everyone expected (I remember a few of you saying low 90's but maybe some had that high of a prediction). So they obviously are doing something right. Now hopefully the bats will be hot and the pitching solid and we can keep winning! I'm stoked!

    Don't put the guy in a situation right before a huge series that will make him feel terrible. It's something that he can't control and makes him squirm. He's not being a jerk, come on people.

    I'm 100% confident that he was not trying to show up the front office. My initial thought was it's just motivation...but then when I heard that the song guy tweeted, listen to the theme....that's weird. Man, that would be great if he took a discount and was going to sign with us! This would be the best time to get him to do that, while they are smoking hot, having fun, and have a solid team locked up for years to come.

    I think we have to trade someone. It may be tough to swallow but unless we can extend both Marcum and ZG I think we have unload them to replenish. I really do believe that's why DM was ok with giving up a lot of our prospects, because his plan is to get some of them back by trade. I guess a lot of this depends on what happens this season and also with Prince.

    Not sure what the success rate is, but I'd probably include the missed signs...it's all part of executing a complicated play. I'd like to see both numbers but I'd disagree on the missed calls. That's not difficult. To me that's like a false start, it's a no play. Technically wouldn't that be a caught stealing or pick off if there was no bunt attempt. But we both can have our own opinions on this.

    I asked this in another thread but does anyone know what our success rate on squeeze plays is? Taking out the missed sign ones of course, that's not on the coach on those. I was under the impression that it's worked a fair amount, but maybe I just saw the ones that worked.
