  1. So far so good. We use netflix quite a bit and it's worked great. I would guess you would need at least average internet speed for it work well all the time. I have never had an issue with it. If you have an iphone, it's pretty cool. You can mirror video, music, and pictures to your tv and then stereo (if you have one hooked up). We use it to look at pictures quite a bit. It's also pretty cool for video podcasts that can stream from your phone of computer. Endless options of things to get off iTunes when it comes to podcasts. I'd say that youtube is a bit slow to load at times but most of the time it's pretty solid. There is a lot more on there that I haven't gotten to but I'd say that it's a pretty cool device and at only $99, a great value.
  2. Hey guys, I think I ask about different devices to watch the Brewers on every year. Well we got an Apple TV this year and was curious if anyone has done MLB TV on it yet? When you pay for the MLB package, are you only able to watch it on Apple TV? What all do you use your Apple TV for?
  3. I miss Rocky's too! Dang it! Wife and I do anti-valentine's day. So try to come up with the something completely different. Buffalo Wild Wings and Bowling is on the schedule!
  4. Thanks for the tips, I will def start working with some of that. Overall I believe I have a good swing, just want to slowly tweak a few things to improve it and become more consistent.
  5. Another tip to help you is go in to the interview with the phrase "I'm interviewing them as much as they are interviewing me." Go in with the goal that you want to find out as much about the company and positions as you can. You want to see if it's a good fit for you. I think this shows confidence and can put you ahead of the other candidates who just sit there and answer questions.
  6. Thanks for the tip. I may take you up on the video thing some time.
  7. Did a quick search, not sure if there is a golf thread in here but didn't see one. I'm not sure how many golfers are in here but thought we could start a thread for all things golf. Any of you guys belong to a course? Got a mechanics question that I need help on. Do any of you know any good exercises to train yourself to have a straight back swing? I know my baseball/softball swing has hampered my ability to get this fixed. I'm going to make an effort to correct my swing this year and I believe this is the first main hurdle I have.
  8. Hey guys, didn't have time to skim this thread but where can I watch old episodes of this? I was just told I need to start watching this so I'd like to jump on it. What season is on now? Sorry I'm so uninformed!
  9. Ya, I was guessing he had a major hand in picking, was just hoping as they worked they would get closer and not go the other way.
  10. Too Live Brew, that makes it much worse!
  11. This always makes me nervous but also kind of excited. I won't say that I ever really "loved" Provus but I do think he was very solid. I hope he has a good year and continues to learn and get better. Hope Bob likes him!
  12. Haha, I'd say he totally fits the profile of a guy who messes with the green. "Well.....that's like....your opinion....man." - the dude. Glad to hear that he's a really good guy. I really do hope he has a solid year.
  13. You know, these lineups look pretty dang good if guys can put it together this year. I know that's always a big if, but I really do like what I'm seeing. I also like the flexability there will be as well.
  14. The itch is really starting to kick in. I'm right in the middle of Reds country and there is a lot of excitement about their team. It would be great if we were in a race with them the whole year and we didn't hear anything from STL! Man I can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report. I just love the first few videos of the team doing drills, interviews, speculation, it's great!
  15. Dunder - Ya I know it's a bit silly but I was just curious what the vibe was out there on Gamel. I think most people are excited for him to be up and play on a regular basis. I was just curious if others were having some hesitations along with that because of some past talk about him not having a the greatest work ethic. Just something to discuss.
  16. I agree but here are some of the reasons I can think of for why people are down on him1. Don Money's and Ken Macha's comments. Both were pretty hard on Mat2. Mat seeming to come in out of shape the year he had a chance to make the team out of Spring Training3. Over-reaction to small-sample size the last two year when he was a pinch hitter4. The Prince Factor - It is hard to follow Prince Ya, the first two were the ones that I was remembering and were skewing my ideas on Mat. I was so excited about him in the begening but at some point I noticed I was starting to worry about him more. I do know that I love his swing and he seems pretty athletic. I'm hoping he can be an average first basemen with an above average bat. I think with the added defense the team has this year, we can handle a few mistakes as he continues to learn the position. Glad we could talk this out, it gave me a boost in excitement for him and the team!
  17. I've really had a hard time getting on the Gamel train for awhile now. I think I either read some things about him in the past or heard some talk on here about him being lazy. I don't know if it was legit or just people "thinking" he was, but it really tainted my opinion of him. I'm hoping that now that he has a legit shot to be a contributor to this team that he will be working hard to be his best. I was really excited about him in the past but somewhere along the line that changed. I've tried not to judge but for some reason this has stuck with me. I was curious what others really think of Gamel deep down. I'm really pulling for him, but I'm cautious about getting excited.
  18. Ya I don't think Prince gave too many big talks to the team or sat and gave advice to young guys on a daily basis. I think he just showed how to be a pro and always played hard. He would laugh and have fun when appropriate and he'd get angry when they needed a tough guy. I'm sure he gave advice when people asked for it. I just don't see him like those vets mentioned, where they were the types that prob pulled guys aside and tried to help them whenever they could.
  19. I'm very hesitant in signing these guys long term. I know people will think I'm nuts but I really think we need to trade these guys, or at least one of them to replenish the minors. Especially if we can't sign them to an extension. I'd rather sacrafice this year to make a run again in another year and be relivant for a couple years. Get some young arms to go with what we have already and you're looking at a much better team for long term success. If we can get a fair deal for ZG, great. I'm just not sure he's the guy that you spend a boat load on and hope he can take us to the next level.
  20. Ok, I'm sure this has all been talked about in individual threads but I'm curious what our main areas are that still need to be addressed. Football (Packers) season is over so now I'm getting back in to baseball mode. What moves will we possibly see on the horizon? I like how our defense is shaping up, hopefully the bats will be good enough!
  21. I've been one of the biggest Gomez fans from day one and have hoped every year that he'd improve his batting. This year I'm not hoping for that and I'm happy with what he is. As many of you said, he was used really well after coming back from injury. If we can use a combo of him and Morgan in CF the right way (which seems they've proved they can) then I'm happy as heck. His defense is so amazing and his attitude makes me smile. Now with our upgrade at SS (defensively) our team defense is getting much better. I'd love to see an upgrade at 3b too and all the sudden I think we are sitting pretty.
  22. I will also agree to this comment. Well said.
  23. Great win. Man YB is clutching up! So fun to watch, hope we take care of business in game 2.
