    I agree Funketown. I was saying to my friend a few days ago when talking about Joe Nathan that I'd think he'll be fine if he gets through ST and the first few months of the season with no setbacks. But if he has some tightness or anything like that it tends to be followed with another surgery. I'm really hoping that is not the case with Rogers. As with Lucroy I'd think he can catch guys, he just won't be able to get down and block balls like he can with a healthy hand. I'd think doing bullpens would be fine. I'd hold off on live batting with him behind the dish because of foul tips but I really think not letting him catch bullpens is being too cautious.

    I agree with you guys as well. I just saw this and at first was like, man that's too bad. You hate to see it and you feel for him and their fans. But I admidt my thoughts then went right to how much of a blow that is to their team and how much that does help us. I mean he's a stud. More importantly they lost Nick Punto though for several weeks, I don't know if they can get over that loss.

    I too am in the camp that it's refreshing to hear his honesty. 99% of players in the three major sports are trained to say exactly what people want to hear. "I'm going to go 110%, I have to thank my teamates and coaches who put me in this position, team is coming together really well, fans are great...... I can go on all day. To actually hear what he's thinking and who he is, is great. Let's not use that against him now. Sure it's in the back of my mind, thinking about his anxiety but I really don't think it will hurt him at all. I'm excited to watch him work this year.

    You can count me in on wanting to see things with my own eyes. That goes for Grienke, Marcum, and YB. And I think I do it more with bad players than good ones. I think it's because I tend to look for the positive in every situation. So I personally do need to see him play before I can make my own opinion. If he can show a little pop and field most balls he gets too, I will be able to live with him for awhile.

    I just like seeing all the smiles. It looks like the took the offseason seriously, there are a lot of big things happening for the team and players, and they are ready for the field. Should be a lot of fun all season!

    Ya I think Prince is all but gone after the weeks singing. Pitching has to be number one going forward. We have to get one of the two new guys extended and then go from there. If we can't resign we have to trade them for a major league ready, young, pitcher and prospects. I've been screaming this for years, pitching is what makes things happen in today's game. Guys like Greinke, Marcum, and Yo can fetch us a boat load of prospects. So if we can't extend them (I know Yo is right now) then we need to trade them either before their last year or at the mid point if we are out of it. I guess what I'm saying is we have enough O to win with if we have the pitching. That needs to be our top priority always.

    Ya I love listening to the games. Just having it on, even if I'm not apying attention makes my days. I also agree that with this warm weather I'm getting even more excited. Sprinkle the Weeks extension on top of it and you got your self some spring fever! Might have to watch Major League tonight!

    This is nothing even close to the Hall deal. You can't really compare the two.

    Ya this just makes us pretty good for a few more years. Now hopefully Gamel can really work on 1b and step in next year for Prince. Our offense can still pack a pretty good punch even with Prince gone. I agree, next move is getting at least one of the two new pitchers locked up. If we can do that, DM will deserve a lot of praise for the position he has put this team in. Pretty impressive. This is just great news!

    I didn't think this day would ever get here. I do have to say the Packers nice little run really helped with the Jan and Feb wait, so big thanks to them. Heck, even the Badgers football and basketball teams are helping out a lot too! But we are finally here. Bring on more news, player and coaches interviews, videos, and the excitement of the first spring training box score. Today it starts, what should be an exciting year! (insert Bart Scott) "CAN'T WAIT!"

    We can start a new topic if need be, I don't want to hijack this, but thought it was along the same lines. Who do we need to break out and who do we need to not disapoint? I'd say having Gomez breakout could help us the most. Even if he can get his BA up to 2.60 OBP up to .320 it could be huge. I love his defense and if he could bring the added offense....man. I can dream right? I think the guy we can't have dissapoint is Grienke. I think our pitchers will all look to him to set the tone and if he doesn't I could see the whole thing crumbling down. Our pitching has been so bad for quite awhile that it's hard to imagine it otherwise. Let's hope they all step up, but I think it starts with him!

    Disappoingting - I'm really worried it could be Ax. I really hope not because I love seeing him work but I'm hessitant to get on board with him fully as the answer for the whole year. I think I'm gun shy from Turnbow! Breakout - I have to go with Yo as well. I think he will have a great year and take another step forward. I'm hoping all the starters will push each other and make them all better as individuals.

    Last article on the Brewers official webiste reads "Brewers set to unveil revamped staff in Florida." Am I missing something or is that a rather large screw up?

    Haha, it was too tempting. I live in Minneapolis (for now) so I'd like to throw them out like my trash. I just want it to happen so I can make fun of all my friends that are vikings fans for the rest of their lives. Is that too much to ask?

    I forgot I had been to Chase as well and really didn't enjoy it. I think the prob was I was sitting lower level outfield (under the over hang) and when I looked up all I saw was concrete. I really felt like it was a dome even though the top was open. I think it would have been a totally different deal if I was sitting around the infield looking out but from where I was sitting I did not enjoy it that much. If I can find the cord to hook up my camera I will post a pic from Target field. Got a great sunset over the skyline. Pretty cool.

    So I'm not sure if it's legal to talk Pack on here but come on, it's the super bowl, please don't lock this down! Wondering how the peeps at bf.net are feeling about us bringing home the Lombardi this weekend. I'm so geeked, I can't stand it. I feel like we can win if we can keep Rodgers upright and stop their run. Can't wait! "I'm nervous so I'm sweating"

    How you guys doing in the south? I'm so thankful we did not get more than a few inches in MNPLS because I'm so sick of the poundings we have been taking up here. Sounds like this one might have surpassed the one we got a few weeks before Christmas. Best of luck!
