  1. I think if we are losing by the time it gets to Muncy you bring in Cedeno. If we are still tied you bring in Hader. Hopefully he doesn't get up this inning.
  2. I normally would say no, but the fact the Dodgers have almost emptied their bullpen changes it to a yes to me. The longer this game goes the bigger advantage we have.
  3. When you take into account all of the time you get into a 2 strike count and have to call off the bunt their success rate is under 50%. It is a pretty iffy move to pull when you have someone not good at bunting up to bat.
  4. Lets hope he can work a walk here. Don't have much hope of him getting a hit.
  5. Maeda leaving here is a pretty big deal. The Dodgers bullpen is not deep at all and he could have added some length.
  6. I don't think any other 2B in baseball makes that tag except maybe Baez. Did you see the way he reached down and just, tagged him. Before he even reached the base.
  7. The deeper numbers never believed the season was for real. He was one of those guys who had way better results than process. Villar and Schoop are a wash offensively, Schoop is just better defensively. I think that move was all about Villar being a clubhouse problem and them just wanting him off the team. Of course Schoop was a baby too who clearly didn't want to be traded to the Brewers.
  8. I don't think Miley is on the team most likely. He is a free agent.
  9. Yelich is putting together good ABs but just not getting hits. Cain seems to think the pitchers don't know he is just trying to ambush the first pitch because he is having awful ABs.
  10. Schoops ball had a 53% hit probability which is the second best ball in play by the team all game. Hard to complain about it but also not going crazy over it.
  11. They don't bunt a lot because it is way harder than people seem to think it is.
  12. Schoop isn't even the worst 2B we have had play this season. Sogard was just putrid in his small sample.
  13. Confirmed by Counsell. Awesome that we can go back to that combo after only 3 days rest. I'm not a huge fan of this He can't pitch game 7 so why pitch him on short rest. I assume we want Chacin for 1 more game, Miley for 1 more game and then a filler for 1 game. Why not make that filler game the game 5 day and let Miley pitch fully rested. My guess is the plan is Miley game 5. Bullpen game for game 6 after the day off and Chacin game 7 if needed. So I guess if they are going to go heavy bullpen one game they want it with a rested bullpen.
  14. More than 2 games. Especially when 2+ hits in each game were weak contact found a hole type of hits.
  15. Puig also has reverse splits so you would rather a lefty face him. This seems like the most standard move ever. Get the road win, force the series back to Milwaukee and hope that he keeps his pitch count down enough he can pitch in game 5. Given the fact Soria and Knebel are already used and how terrible Jeffress has looked I really don't get who you want out there right now if its not Hader.
  16. The announcers sound so disappointed every time the Brewers do something good. Smoltz is so invested in this Brewers use the bullpen too much that he is going to live or die on the concept. I guess 11 IP of 0 ER isn't good enough for him in 2 games.
  17. I'm curious as to why. They hit one ball hard on him but he just blew it by the rest of them. He'd be facing a really bad part of their lineup too. His pitch count was also very low. I mean maybe now that we got 2 more runs they go with Soria to preserve him.
  18. This seems reasonable. Hope Knebel can finish the 6th and 7th and if we still have the lead you have Hader finish it off.
  19. That was a disaster for Braun and Yelich. You have him up at 80 pitches, be patient and try to make this his last inning. Don't attack right away and get yourself out.
