  1. Brewers have the best OPS in the NL against lefties with an .853. Brewers have the 3rd best OPS in the NL vs righties with only a .763, 100 points of OPS is a pretty big gap.
  2. Brewers of today look a lot like the Cubs of yesterday. Now this is typical Bush, there should be 2 outs with a runner on 1st and no runs in this inning, instead there are runners on the corners, no outs and a run in.
  3. 3-1, 3.51 ERA, .646 OPS against looks pretty good to me in June for Bush.
  4. Ryan Howard never thrived at any level in the minors until he was old for his level. it can be an indicator to watch for sure but it doesn't mean he somehow won't sustain that production at the next level.
  5. Miller has a sense of humor about things, I can't really see how anyone would be offended by that sign.
  6. player with less than 130 at-bats, a pitcher with less than 50 innings pitched, or anyone with less than 45 days on any Major League roster. Pence - 229 AB, 29 R, 8 HR, 35 RBI, .336 AVG, .936 OPS Braun - 129 AB, 30 R, 7 HR, 25 RBI, .349 AVG, 1.035 OPS
  7. Pence obviously has a chance since he had such a big AB lead. There are a few pitchers who could make a case if they keep throwing the ball well, though I don't think any of them are for real.
  8. Braun passes Fielder for highest OPS on the team with a 1.035. Makes Fielder's piddly 1.001 look silly.
  9. Yeah I'm gonna just lay low, he's obviously cranky. Its just a really slow day at work so I'm posting on both forums.
  10. Weeks sure does seem like the weakest link lately. Wonder if the wrist is still bothering him or if he's just not hitting well.
  11. yeah that surprised me too. Maybe its part of pushing for an all star appearance. 3.22 ERA now and he has 10 K's this game, that has to help pad the stats some.
  12. Lets tack on 2 or 3 runs this inning.
  13. If you spot Cordero a 2 run lead in the 9th you should win too... that didn't work out so well yesterday.
  14. Sheets is going to be confused, this is more run support than he usually gets in a complete game.
  15. Braun just mashes everything doesn't he. Edit : So does Fielder, heh.
  16. If the worst start you have all season is 6 Ip and 3 ER you will be one of the best pitchers in the game. You are just really nitpicking with your definition of quality start.
  17. Wrigley is a crap hole pure and simple, I don't want to take it , they can have it sadly enough.
  18. He strikes me as a played so long he makes the hall of fame type guy but I still think he makes it in. It won't be the end of the world for me if he is second ballet though, really depends on the competition. The way I look at it he's been below average for 1.5 years now and pretty average over the past 5.5 years. 6 years ago I wouldn't have said he was a HOF player and 5.5 pretty average years tacked onto what he already has doesn't make a strong case to me. I think he makes it but I don't think he's a sure thing HOF player either.
  19. As someone who owns Fuentes and Cordero as their main two closers in fantasy this is most frustrating. I'm thinking of benching both of them and putting RP/SP guys in their slots for next weeks H2H matchup against the 2nd place team (I'm 1st).
  20. Bush averages over 6 IP per game, has averaged more than Capuano and is right behind Sheets and Suppan by less than 1/3 of an inning per game.
  21. Seems like every week they are doing something they haven't done in the past 10 years, like sweeping Houston. This just doesn't feel like 'the same old Brewers'.
  22. Holliday is a LF, they picked Bonds over him.
  23. Shouse is as good or better than some of those 2/3/4 star guys you listed... I don't really think we need another LOOGY. Maybe a lefty who can get out righties and lefties, but certainly not another LOOGY.
  24. I cannot put into words how much I hate this move, especially if it means Vargas starting over Bush long term.
