  1. He was doing fine until you opened your big mouth!
  2. I bet Estrada finds a way to ground into a double play here.
  3. Hart wasnt' playing because he was hurt, hard to really comment one way or another on it. Yes getting your players healthy is going to help you win games, won't argue with that. Hall moving down in the lineup had nothing to do with his slump though, in fact he started hitting even better when he was moved back up. Estrada should have never been batting 5th so we agree there.
  4. The people who want to fire Yost mostly use the team record as their barometer for doing it. If Yost doesn't produce a winner this season he should be fired is the common call. Most specifically during the cold streak many wanted him fired NOW just because they were losing a lot, I don't see how the Mets cold streak is any different. I think Yost is just an average manager, most of the complaints about him are misguided and the team is going to make the playoffs or miss the playoffs because of the talent they have not because of the manager. But thats just me.
  5. Mets are now 4-12 in their last 16 games, do you think people are asking to fire Randolph?
  6. Most players who have established themselves at a position aren't going to be happy moving positions, in the end he moved and stopped complaining about it. Most guys who hit a lot of HR's strike out a lot, its a tradeoff that is generally worth it. Soriano has 218 SB, 62 CS for a 78% success rate which is a good rate. His teammates almost always compliment on him being a great guy to have on the team, I don't think he's really all that selfish and I'd take him over Menchkins myself.
  7. Hard to tell since he batted 4th with Estrada batting 5th a lot. Estrada swings at the pitches they try to hit him with.
  8. Good job Ned, no reason to leave him out there with top of order and over 100 pitches.
  9. Fielders OPS is now .799 vs lefties on the year. Maybe he should platoon with Graffanino at 1B!
  10. Well I guess that probably means Bush will pitch the 7th for sure. Bases loaded against Kolb, I'm so glad that guy isn't on our team anymore.
  11. Miller should go punch that guy. Counsell showing the POWAH!
  12. Except he's had no problems late in games over his 500 IP career, its just if you look at an isolated 70 IP sample that it looks like he does. He's at 90 pitches now and facing bottom two in the order, I bet Yost leaves him out there. I also bet if it works out nobody says anything but if Bush gives up even one run everyone calls Yost a moron.
  13. This is certainly the scary part of the lineup, lets hope Bush can get through it. Bush is certainly due for some LOB% adjustment!
  14. Nice to see Hall driving the ball hard again. Driving in runs is good too.
  15. one run, now thats a big inning.
  16. Brewers have been in 1st since April 21st now and are assured to be in 1st through at least June 21st. I don't remember the last time we were in 1st place for 2 straight months.
  17. Not what I was hoping for but that will do JJ, that'll do.
  18. He's only had a couple of bad games all year. 9.17 K/9 which shows he can be pretty dominant. 3.96 BB/9 shows he can be pretty darn wild as well though so the team needs to take a patient approach against him.
  19. The reason they think it was racial is because many of them think Lee is such a saint that he wouldn't punch someone over anything less than a racial slur.
  20. Ok a solo HR by Branyan is even better than my suggested one by Gonzalez, heh.
  21. A solo HR by Gonzalez to win the game sure would be a nice way to end this thing.
  22. SD's offense might not be terrible but tonights lineup is pretty wretched. .264 .223 .288 .219 .226 .160 .000 .256 .000 Those are the AVG's for the lineup.
  23. First guy lined out afterwards, then an error on Theriot and then back to back walks. Hopefully Zambrano flips out here. edit: lame, double play.
  24. Cubs won today 4-1 so only 5 games back.
  25. Don't look now but we are 8-7 in our last 15 games. It might seem like we've played horrible recently but we've kept our heads above water since the Braves series.
