  1. Not my first choice, but if necessary I can meet you at MP. I'm parking in the Preferred Lot along the 3rd base/left field side.
  2. Series, I think you're the only one that's commented so far that actually believes this is a real injury. It's highly suspicious timing and we all think it's a great move for us as it clears up the pitching situation for a few weeks.
  3. My boss just handed me our work tickets for tonight's game. I can use 2, but can't find any takers for the other 2. They're great seats up in the Club Level, second row of section 335. They're my work seats, so you MUST behave yourself. I will totally call security on you if it means not screwing over my boss who was nice to hand me the tickets. I figured I can trust BrewerFan folk, so don't disappoint. They're free to the first person who can meet me either by the airport (Van Norman and KK) in the next hour or on the East Side (Oakland and North) between 5:20 and 6:10. I'll keep BrewerFan up and keep refreshing, so just respond to the post and we'll go from there.
  4. We'll be there. Saturday we decided that we wanted to go on Monday. When the CC talks heated up, we changed our plans to Tuesday "just in case." Absolutely Brilliant move!!
  5. There was a big piece on this kid on the Outside the Lines part of SportsCenter last night.
  6. It would be nice if the guy who got "sat" was Suppan. In all the discussion of Bush vs. McClung all I can think is that I'd rather have either of them over Suppan.
  7. I need a single for tomorrow. Don't care where it is. Not looking to spend a ton. Thanks
  8. Seriously? They sold for almost $500!
  9. I got very, very sunburned in the left field bleachers. Now I'm red to match my Brewers blue and white.
  10. I'm not afraid at all. I do whatever I have to do to get it done. You don't think that privately, the Cardinals and the Cubs would absolutely have the fear of god in them with the Brewers trotting out Sheets and Sabathia every five days?? Unlike a lot of you here, I truly believe the Brewers are the best team in this division, and getting CC will further strengthen that. As far as the prospects they have to give up, who cares?? Worry about next year, next year. You try to win now, you never know when you will have this good of a chance again. You go all in. If the Indians call me right now and say "Doug, we've considered your offer and it's a tremendous offer, but we really need Escobar in the deal, and should you include him, we can have CC on a plane to Milwaukee tomorrow". I simply reply with "we have ourselves a deal". Thankfully, this post is one reason among many others that you're posting on a message board and aren't a major league GM. A smart GM when asked what prospects to give up, he won't say, who cares, whatever you want to get a deal done is fine with me, just get Sabathia on a plane to Milwaukee. You would though be a wet dream for any GM out there trying to sell off a vet at the trade deadline. Sadly, that somewhat crazed talk sounds a lot like Melvin and Yost did this pre-season. I never understood why the whole thing has been "now or never."
  11. If I'm not too late, please throw me in.
  12. Since he's pitching, this is close enough to on-topic ... ESPN has a "6 days in the life of Brandon Webb" up right now. Good reading to close out the work day. http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3471290
  13. What just happened? Uecker's being awfully ambiguous today.
  14. They aren't necessarily around the 4th of July. The Hot Dog was 4th of July, which makes sense. The Chorizo was the weekend of Cerveceros games last year and the Polish was during Polish Fest this year, so presumably Italian and Brat will be during those fest's weekends in the future.
  15. I second the Jack Stack suggestion in KC. Spectacular bbq and hit their little store and bring home some sauce and rub - it's cheap and it really added another option for summer grilling, which was cool. Are you going to have kids with you?
  16. This came out across cell phones and emails not too long ago as breaking news. New chatter is about that says Favre wants to report to camp on July 28 Article here
  17. I'm a girl and that still made me flinch in (sympathetic) pain
  18. No promises, but on occasion, I don't suck. What are you looking for?
  19. I live on Cambridge, just south of North Ave - right across from the river - we have a 2 bedroom in a duplex and we pay $650. The house is big, the kitchen is huge, the basement's nice and we're really happy with it. We occasionally and accidentally leave doors open overnight/while we're gone and we've never had any problems. Occasionally we get the drunks from Judges bar doing stupid stuff in the neighborhood, but other than that, we've never had any issues. We do have dogs, which I think is crucial and keeps people away. I used to live in the North suburbs and am so happy to be closer to the city.
  20. I'm bumping this because I had a good conversation with Trenni after they filmed Brewers Live at Summerfest last night. I approached her to tell her that we appreciated her answering our questions earlier in the season. Then she asked if I thought it was any better. I shrugged and said it was still iffy, especially on "secondary" type plays, where it wasn't the initial play/out, but something that happened ancillary to the play. She said that one of the things that happens is that when they are out of town, they may only have access to 4 or 5 camera feeds, whereas at home we have at least 12 cameras. So we could have just 4 cameras while the home team has 10. That being the case, we may not have the camera shot right away, so if something happens they don't catch, they have to use the home team's feed to get us the replay. With only 4 cameras, they can't cover every inch of the field and so follow the primary play and often end up missing the secondary things like steals or plays at the bases. That's an explanation I would never have thought of, so I was glad she took the time to explain it to me.
  21. This is one of my all-time favorite YouTube's. During the draft a few years ago ESPN put together a flashback of Jets picks and the accompanying fan reactions.
  22. My work's seats are in 335 - you're even with the first base line. We're in the second row, two seats in and we have no problems with railings. The railing at the bottom of the steps is significantly higher than the rest of the railing, so you don't want aisle seats. I like this section because you're right at the exit and the bathrooms are just steps away. You're also close to food, including the (highly recommended, especially for children) build-your-own-sundae bar for $5. Completely crucial to the club level experience.
  23. When the Frozen Four was in Milwaukee, we went to the "Skills Challenge"/Hobey Baker award thing. There were not many people there and Barry Melrose was of course there as the analyst. Some drunk guys spent the whole time yelling "I love you Baaarrrryyy!" among other things and always ended with "I know you can hear me Barry" We make a joke about this every time Barry's on TV and still giggle. Priceless stuff.
