Are you kidding? They went at the same time. It's pretty obvious it was a double steal if the runner at 1st went at the same time as the runner at 2nd. Jesus, everything to you is Yost hating. Get over it. No, I think Hart went after he saw Braunie go
I would absolutely hate Jason Kendall if we was doing this against us. I guess that comes with being "scrappy" though. My fault, we beat Cueto. Short term memory loss....
I think we need to look at the big picture here. We took 2/3 from the Cubs. We won 4/6 at home. The two home losses came against one of the league's best pitchers and the other one against one of the league's best up-and-coming pitchers. Keep in mind, in these losses, we were putting out our two worst (probably) pitchers. The real test is to come this weekend....
I couldn't agree more. Last night's loss didn't bother me one bit. We were off on all cylinders. To me, a loss like last night is better than losing 2-1 and getting 7+ innings of great pitching and wasting it on poor plate performance. The crew can just shake last night off and get back to business today.

Yeah, we've obviously got to stay with him and the fact that we won the game doesn't make his blown save tonight seem as bad, but he doesn't seem dominate on the mound. Cordero and even Turnbow just have a presence that Gagne hasn't shown yet. Maybe it's just me...
So we could have put Shouse in with a runner on 1st to get a lefty out, but now the bases are juiced and a base hit puts them ahead. What are you thinking Yost?
Pirates have them juiced with no outs in the 6th trailing 8-5. Edit: a 4 pitch walk makes it 8-6. Sanchez is up. I'm guessing Pignatiello is done. Yup in comes Howry
Yeah I see your point. If this "story" had broken today, I could see all the attention; but since it's already been confirmed as false, it's time to move on to the Brewers.
Yeah, but what are we supposed to do? Ignore the giant pink elephant in the room? If a national tragedy happened on July 4th, would we just sweep it under the rug until the 5th for the sake of Independence Day (a bit of an extreme, I know).
Didn't Prince and Weeks hit their first career home runs off of Santana? I know Santana started the game (I was there! awesome game), but I don't remember if he was still pitching when they went yard.
Once we got to three balls and knowing he "had" to throw the ball down the middle, I was thinking the same thing. Yup. Three runs won't be enough to win this one anyway. Bush has been good in the 1st and 3rd....does Ned leave him in for one more? He's only at 74 pitches.
Cueto's line: 7 IP, 1 hit, 1 ER, 10 Ks. Weathers comes in for the 8th and walks 3 guys. The bases are juiced with only 1 out. Mike Lincoln has replaced Weathers. Cueto only had 92 pitches, what is Dusty thinkin??
