  1. It was extremely sad when I heard it, especially since the last news I had heard about the situation was that he was recovering well. To answer how they sound without him, though - I saw DMB at Alpine Valley on August 10 and Jeff Coffin (of Bela Fleck and The Flecktones) was playing in LeRoi's place, and playing quite well in his stead. I don't know if that would be an option for a more permanent position, but he played very well. Once again, extremely sad news about Moore's passing - just goes to show that anything can happen at any time in life.
  2. I love Hulu. It's nice to know that you can watch episodes of shows (and even movies) online and not have to worry about doing something illegal.
  3. It seemed harmless to me, but it's Bonds - perhaps I've just become indifferent over the years at anything he does.
  4. Well, my first name is Jordan and my last name starts with the letters "muehl", so it conveniently worked out.
  5. I completely respect your opinion - it's very valid. However, I'm only 20 years old and she's 18 (almost 19, I believe), so it's definitely within my realm of fantasy, even if it's completely outside of my realm of possibility. ("Hey Hayden, I can play guitar. Will you marry me?" I'm sure that'd get her.)
  6. Hayden Panettiere, hands down. My obsession with Scrubs has me wanting to say Sarah Chalke, but Hayden's just a stone-cold fox. I can't pass that up.
  7. Do you have tickets already, or are you going to try to get them at the door? Just curious. I bought my tickets on Monday for tonight's show. Let me just put it simply: the film far surpassed my admittedly lofty expectations. To say that it is the "best comic book film of all-time" doesn't do the actual film, as art, justice.
  8. I'll be seeing it at 12:03 tonight. I couldn't be more excited. I've been scouring the 'net for exclusive interviews and DK clips/videos.
  9. 6 runs, 11 pitches. Thanks for providing the contest for us!
  10. Well, I've got work at seven in the morning, but I decided to go to CC's debut, drink at the game, come home, drink more, and now get some sleep. God help me if I have a hangover tomorrow, but at the moment, I'm not anticipating one.

  12. It's a deal that makes sense for both clubs at this point. Congrats to DM for pulling the trigger on this deal.
  13. I've always thought that Honus Wagner was a funny name.
  14. Designated For Assignment (how oddly fitting...) "The Course Of Hours" http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3258/2550983058_64d581b6de_m.jpg
  15. This could be the game this team needed to put it into an extra gear and help it really turn the corner -- the offense is getting help from everyone (even non-regular starters) and Bush is pitching well.
  16. When your pitching coach tells you to keep the ball down in that situation, I don't think he has that in mind...
  17. I completely agree about Manny. He may act strange from time to time, and the all-too-often used "Manny Being Manny" phrase is still ringing in my ear from Wednesday, but that entire episode was just fantastic to me. Manny almost always plays the game the right way and he has fun doing it. Like Russ said, he is a lot like baseball's Brett Favre.
  18. Wow, Owen's becoming a regular amongst us nerds. Perhaps he, himself, has become one? = ) Thanks for taking part in the discussion and everything, Owen. It's always appreciated when we have one more person to talk baseball (or just random things) with.
  19. You had to have laughed when you first saw the Janitor as that big ogre!
  20. No. I don't believe they will. ... I just died a little inside.
  21. Owen, honestly, thanks for coming to BF and at least defending your position and clearing up your remarks -- as someone had pointed out earlier, it wasn't something you had to do, but you did it anyways, so thanks. I will agree with you that although the Linebrink trade may come back to bite us later, it certainly appeared as if we were making a trade to better our team for the "now" at the time we made it. Once again, thanks for stopping by -- hopefully you'll make it a more regular occurrence.
  22. It's been rumored for a long time, but it still makes me happy. = )
