  1. If the Astros are selling, I'd love to see the Brewers get Jeff Keppinger to take Almonte's spot. I think the Brewers desperately need a guy like Keppinger off the bench that can play every infield position, and is a very solid hitter, especially against lefties. He kind of reminds me of a Mark Loretta type player.
  2. Yes I'm concerned, but I think he'll eventually get his command under control and be ok. I'd like to see Loe get some chances to close out games until Axford gets better, I feel like he would be a good closer.
  3. I'd prefer Kottaras because I think he is a much better hitter, but if Roenicke thinks Nieves is that much better defensively, I trust him, and would be ok w/ him playing the 30 games that Lucroy doesn't.
  4. My brother is a big time Brewers/Bears fan. The rest of our house are all Packers/Brewers fans, but he just wanted to be different.
  5. I'm pretty sure Baltimore wouldn't of traded Guthrie for Hardy, otherwise it probably would've happened. I think we overvalued what Hardy was actually worth.
  6. To say Jennings sucks at everything and that he is a d league level player is just over the top, shock job radio host ridiculous. He has been inconsistent so far, but at 21, he has led his not very talented team to the playoffs, and probably would have done it again if Delfino, Bogut, Ersan and him weren't hurt for large portions of the season.
  7. Wow, you really think so? He's had a tough 2nd year, but I know he is much better than that. I would have no problem w/ him starting again next year, as long as they bring in a legit backup PG. I wouldn't hate the Kemba Walker pick, but I think there are better options like Alec Burks from Colorado. I think Kemba's speed in the NBA wouldn't be that great of an asset as it was in college.
  8. I thought Reed looked very overmatched in his limiteds ab's, so I'm glad he was dfa'd. When Hart comes back, I'll be very disappointed if Kottaras doesn't stay w/ the team. It seems pretty obvious that he is a significant upgrade over Will Nieves.
  9. I did not know that. Do you know what channel?
  10. I wish it were that easy. Thanks to those who answered my question.
  11. Thanks. I guess I would understand blacking out games that are shown on FS Wisconsin also, but why do they black out games that aren't televised elsewhere? That doesn't seem to make sense at all. Is there a link to the television rules? I'm having a hard time finding anything.
  12. Since the game is on channel 41 only in the Milwaukee area, will it be shown or blacked out on the MLBtv channel for the rest of the state? Any help will be appreciated.
  13. I also don't see it happening, I think thats why we got Saito.
  14. I think if Mark Rogers is healthy and stretched out by opening day, he will be the guy. However I'm beginning to think he won't be ready. If not I hope they don't go w/ Parra or Loe and keep them in their current bullpen roles. I'd much rather see a guy like Rivas, Peralta or possibly Fiers get a few starts than mess w/ their roles. Hopefully Greinke gets back very soon, and it doesn't take to long to get him ready.
  15. I'll go w/ Cody Scarpetta. I know he's already a top 10 Brewers prospect, but I think he'll take the next step and be a top 100 mlb prospect. He had a really good second half of the season last year and really improved his control. I think he's going to have a dominant season in AA this season.
  16. That's the first thing I thought about when I read this thread title. Too bad.
  17. I would be very excited and definitely get season tickets if it happened, but I don't think it ever will. I think it would do ok in Milwaukee, but I'm not sure it would thrive like it did in Seattle.
  18. Well, he is supposed to be our starting shortstop, and a lot of fans seem to be asking questions about him. So I would say there has been enough interest for at least one interview. Why couldn't you do both Grienke/Marcum material, and an interview and story w/ Betancourt?
  19. I haven't seen any Yuni pictures yet, I'm very interested to see what kind of shape he came in. I'm also interested in what he has to say about himself, I didn't hear or see one interview w/ him after the trade, I thought that was kind of weird.
  20. I guess if the Brewers front office thought he could still play shortstop, and the Rangers pick up about 15-20 million of his contract I'd be ok w/ picking him up.
  21. I like the look of Baltimores lineup. They'll be an intersting team to watch, if a few of there young pitchers step up they could be a pretty good team. Brian Roberts 2b Adam Jones CF Nick Markakis RF Derrek Lee 1B Vlad Guererro DH Mark Reynolds 3B Luke Scott LF Matt Wieters C JJ Hardy SS
  22. Brewers - Roy Halladay Packers - Adrian Peterson Bucks - Kevin Durant
  23. No thanks on Kotsay. I'd rather take my chances on Brandon Boggs as my 5th outfielder, or bring in a guy that can hit like Jermaine Dye to be our top ph and backup corner outfielder. Too bad we didn't sign Jorge Cantu or Willie Harris, I would have been happy bringing on either of those guys. I wouldn't mind seeing Willie Aybar brought in either.
  24. Did anybody else watch Portlandia on IFC? I thought it was odd, but very funny. I will definitely watch it again.
  25. I don't think it's a big deal, it's a minor league signing w/ an invite to spring training. He's a good defensive outfielder who will provide depth in AAA. I'm not sure why people would criticize a little deal like this, its not like he's on our 40 man roster.
