The bullpen has been insanely good lately. One guy losing a lead late in one game isn't terrible. This isn't over, anyway. Mike Gonzalez can be had.
-
My brain is fried watching this inning. He hasn't thrown a single good curveball the entire inning yet he continues to throw it. What a terrible pitch to McClouth. CV was due for an off day, I guess. I suppose when you're always pitching important innings your bad days are amplified.

How on EARTH did Chipper get that out? I thought that was a popup. That was a decent 3-1 pitch. Gotta give Chipper credit there, that was just absurd.
-
I think that's a homer at Miller Park for sure. Great swing by Manny.
-
All right, Tommy. Start throwing some balls, please.
-
As long as the Brewers continue to willingly get behind in the count this guy will murder them all day.
-
That was a really nice job by Manny there.
-
Man, Gamel's swing really reminds me of Josh Hamilton.
-
What are these guys smoking up there? Corey didn't fool anyone! Escobar HAD to go halfway in case Hart catches that ball. It only dropped a couple feet in front of him, saying Escobar screwed up is dumb. First marveling at Yovani's "changeup" that curved with a foot of break to strike out Garret Anderson yesterday, and now this. These guys are embarrassing sometimes...
-
Well, I guess now that it's garbage duty time they can finally use Jul... Oh, nevermind.
-
Amazing how much can go wrong in so little time.
-
Ryan needs to get out of Mike Cameron's way. That was stupid.
-
That inning was almost Rick Helling-esque.
-
Wow. Gamel was safe by a mile! Are you kidding me?
-
I can't remember the last time I saw JJ swing before seeing a strike.
-
Yeah, that bum can't hit Roy Oswalt. Pff...
-
Okay, this crowd is just embarrassing themselves now. Time to move on, folks.
-
I have no idea how you not swing at that pitch with 2 strikes. Come on, Billy.
-
Wow, could those guys have looked sillier jumping all over the place like children? Holy moly. That was an incredible all around defensive play. Braun's throw was spectacular and Kendall blocked it perfectly.
-
Alright, hopefully they're awake now. Can't daze your way through a big lead in this league. I love the move to DiFelice here. Put the hammer down. Heh, yeah SoCal. Braden was barking pretty good there. Got Macha to turn his head, at the least.

You can say what you want about a 1-0 game being boring (I know most people on this site wouldn't say so but plenty of casuals would), but I'm pretty confident we'll never again see a 1-0 win with Jeff Suppan starting again. I really want to know how much Jason Kendall had to do with that great performance. I hear the "calls a great game" cliche all the time from the TV folks. I want to rip him so bad for his failed bunt and overall lack of offense but does this happen without him?
-
DiFelice just got the biggest out left to get. Huge.
-
I've been waiting for that cutter to start hanging over the plate, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm waiting for the league to figure him out, but in the meantime I'm thrilled every time he starts warming.

Brewers sign Catalanotto to minor league deal
derflotr replied to Nottso's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I guess the more depth the better, but I'm not seeing a great fit here. If Catalanatto was right-handed, different story. I just can't imagine Nelson and Catalanatto being on the roster at the same time unless this is a precursor move. Maybe it's a Durham-esque type of move to give Nelson (Weeks) a kick in the butt? It seems unlikely, but I'm hoping, along with most others here, this doesn't mean the end of Brad Nelson. -
Man, there is no strike zone.
