  1. I am going to recommend the Expanse on SYFY again. Love that show season 1 and 2 are now on Amazon Prime.
  2. Subnautica is a good game not an MMO but it is a really good game.
  3. Because of scouting reports and watching him play. You can see the tools are there for elite like defense.
  4. Putouts in LF have ended up between 8512 & 9020 over the last five compared to 9401 & 9771 over the last five years for RF putouts, so it looks like there are typically more opportunities in RF. That's outs though, not necessarily plays, correct? Opportunities are based on plays. My hypothesis is that there are less putouts because balls are hit harder to LF (RH pull hitters). I haven't looked into this too much but here is a spray chart of RH batters and their outcomes the chart on the Left is the last 6 years and the chart on the right is 2016. https://public.tableau.com/shared/J9FPHKQ3C?:display_count=yes
  5. It maybe too soon to say he should be the starting 2B but I really like what I have seen so far from Dubon. I think he can be an average offensive player with elite like defense. Pairing Dubon with Arcia would be rather fun to watch defensively. I am not sure there would be many hits that would get through Dubon and Arcia. Having two elite defenders up the middle in Dubon and Arcia would be crazy and would help the whole infield defense especially at the corners where you wouldn't need someone with all that much range which means you could focus on more of a bat first 1B and 3B with Arcia and Dubon at SS and 2B.
  6. This is based off him being 1 for 8 with a couple strikeouts? Just his play in general his at bats that I have seen have been encouraging results are not there yet. Defensively he can play any where in the infield.
  7. It has only been a few games but Dubon is looking really good. If he continues to play like he has will he be the starting 2B this year?
  8. Depends on the plan for early withdrawal for a home. If it is a company plan or a union plan you should be fine. Now how much you can withdraw is dependent on the plan rules. If you get fired or leave you will have to repay the loan within 90 days or however long your plan gives you. If you don't repay it will count as an early withdrawal and you will have to pay the tax on that.
  9. No Burnes will be a June call up.
  10. AL East: Red Sox AL Central: Twins AL West: Astros WC1: Yankees WC2: Angels NL East: Nationals NL Central: Cubs NL West: Dodgers WC1: Brewers WC2: Phillies Indians offense slumps all year while the Phillies and Brewers surprise everyone. I am predicting the Phillies pick up one of Lynn, Cobb, or Arrieta in free agency to get them to 87 wins on the year.
  11. Gray was not worth what the A's were asking for last year period end of story. Why do you keep on bringing this up? JB12 is that you?
  12. I agree with no one being off limits but I'm not moving Hader for those names. I'd need the level of Syndergaard or Bumgarner to be talked into moving Hader. Agreed. While Degrom is pretty good on his own I just don't feel comfortable giving up Hader and Burnes for Degrom or Stroman. I don't really want to be giving up Hader or Burnes unless I am getting someone like Kershaw or Sale. Basically Hader and Burnes together should get the Brewers a Sale type of a pitcher. We should be getting at a minimum 3-years of control if we are trading both Hader and Burnes. Stroman and Degrom both have the time left but I am not putting them on the same level as Sale. I really like both Stroman and Degrom but if I am trading Hader and Burnes I am wanting someone like Syndergaard who has 4-years of control left. You probably don't get Syndergaard or someone like Syndergaard for Hader and Burnes plus another prospect but I don't really care about that. The value that the Brewers would be giving up in Burnes and Hader outweighs what Stroman and Degrom bring. If the Brewers were to get Degrom or Stroman now then sure one of Hader or Burnes should be included but not both.
  13. Maybe, the Rangers are a hard to gauge on what they are doing future wise. If Kershaw opts out of his contract which everyone expects him to do the Rangers are going to be going hard after him. Maybe the Rangers trade Hamels to clear some space for next year or maybe they keep him to have him behind Kershaw. The Rangers are an enigma right now as they haven't really put Hamels out there for a trade. I don't think there even has been a rumor about Hamels being available or not this year. Hamels was someone I wanted the Brewers to go after in the deadline last year but I don't think the Rangers made him available.
  14. Yes, if you asked non hockey fans they could probably only name Crosby and Ovechkin as players in the NHL and that is only if you watch ESPN. I believe about 90% of the people who do not watch the NHL could even name a single player currently playing other than Crosby and Ovechkin. I think the last great player that everyone know of was Gretzky and the NHL just hasn't marketed their players enough since then.
  15. McCarthy and Kazmir are both very high injury concerns. It is highly likely that neither Kazmir or McCarthy finish the year without going on the DL. It is also likely that either McCarthy or Kazmir are on the 60-day DL when the season ends. Cobb for Atlanta would be a long term player versus Kazmir and McCarthy who can be free agents after this season so I doubt either will be in the Braves rotation long term. I wouldn't be surprised if one of McCarthy or Kazmir will be released before the season even starts. The Braves would have a pretty good rotation in 2019 with Cobb, Teheran, Gohara, Newcomb, take your pick of all of the young starting pitching prospects the Braves have. Trading one of the pitching prospects for another bat is probably what Atlanta is going to do. I think they are going to go after Renfroe over Santana though both are very similar players. Both Renfroe and Santana strike out a lot and both are liabilities in the OF. Not sure on Renfroe but from what I have read he isn't all that great defensively in the OF.
  16. Hmmm it was available this morning. But buying a used Xbox one is probably better anyways you are not missing all that much with the original Xbox One versus the S version. It is probably to late to return the system that you ordered. Might be able to get them to give you credit if you bought it at a store like GameStop and have them exchange it for a used Xbox One.
  17. The Braves might be moving one of their prospects or thinking of moving one of their pitching prospects. The Braves need some OF help wherever Acuna is not playing. They have a good CF in Inciarte and Acuna can play either RF or LF for the Braves I am thinking he probably plays RF unless they find someone who is better defensively in RF. The Braves wanted Yelich but didn't want to give up Acuna for him as they wanted an OF in 2018-2019 of Yelich in LF Inciarte in CF and Acuna in RF. The Braves are obviously looking for OF help but I am not sure Santana is a fit though I wish he would be as an Allard for Santana makes some sense for the Braves and the Brewers though I think the Brewers would have to add someone else in the trade for this to work. If the Braves move one of their pitching prospects for someone like Santana signing Cobb would make some sense for them. McCarthy and Kazmir haven't really been the healthiest pitchers in the last couple of years and the Braves may want to have a veteran mixed in with all of their younger pitchers. Cobb makes sense here if they trade one of their pitching prospects for OF help.
  18. Google is your friend took 1 minute to find one for 39.99. https://m.gamestop.com/product/accessories/xbox-one-kinect-adapter/132874
  19. So about that we aren't getting him for Dubon and Broxton, etc.... Dubon by himself would have been an overpay from what the Twins gave the Rays for Odorizzi.
  20. I would rather sign Johan Santana as he is also trying to do a comeback than Lincecum.
  21. I still think the Braves are a better match for Santana than any other team out there. I don't think the Braves would do a 1 for 1 of Teheran for Santana but I wonder if they would part with Soroka or Wentz for Santana. The Brewers might have to add in something else to the deal but the Braves have an over abundance of pitching prospects. Santana also fits for the Braves moving forward as he would replace Markakis in LF with Acuna taking over in RF by mid May or June. An OF with Inciarte, Santana, and Acuna isn't all that bad for the Braves moving forward. Acuna and Santana may strike out a lot but that is a lot of power in the two corner OF spots. You are possibly looking at two 30+ HR guys in LF and RF with Freeman at 1B. The Braves also don't have to trade away all of their pitching depth in this move as it allows them to keep Gohara, Teheran, Newcomb, Sims, Wright, Allard, Anderson, and one of Soroka or Wentz. The Braves still have a few more guys who had TJ surgery last year who will be returning who have some upside also. The Braves farm system right now is stacked with pitching prospects. Soroka maybe the one pitcher the Braves give up as he doesn't have as high of an upside as Gohara, Wright, Allard, and Anderson have. Soroka does have elite command of his pitches though none of his pitches grade out any higher than above average but his control and command of the strike zone is elite. I am not sure Atlanta will part with Soroka but of the top 5 pitching prospects that they have he has the lowest ceiling of them all but also the highest floor. Stuff wise Soroka is probably a #2 best case scenario but is more than likely a #3 type pitcher.
  22. Was is the keyword here he is no longer that type of a pitcher. While he is a solid #3 or #4 type pitcher he is no longer that 3 WAR pitcher he once was. Going forward Odorizzi is probably more of a 2 WAR pitcher. Getting Dubon and another prospect is very close to what Odorizzi is worth.
  23. Depends on your definition of what a #3 is. If you are using the old model then yes 180 innings+ and a 3.75 ERA would be a #3 pitcher but that definition is starting to get a bit old even though that would probably be true about 5-years ago. I haven't looked but the trend of starters going 5-6 innings max has been going up even your #2's and #1's are closer to 6-innings per game than they are closer to 7 innings per game. In the last 5 years from 2013-2017 there are a total of about 12 pitchers who average about 7 innings per start. Going further there are only 24 pitchers in that time span that have average greater than or equal to 180 IP. Of those 24 only 7 have pitched 200+ innings on average, only 6 players have pitched 180-189 IP per year, and the final 11 players pitched between 190-199 IP per year. 7 players at 200+ IP for the last 5-years: Max Scherzer Jeff Samardzija Chris Sale Corey Kluber Jon Lester R.A. Dickey Jose Quintana 6 players at 180-189 IP for the last 5-years: Chris Archer Bartolo Colon Wade Miley Gio Gonzalez Ervin Santana Ian Kennedy 11 players at 190-199 IP for the last 5-years: Justin Verlander Clayton Kershaw Cole Hamels Julio Teheran Rick Porcello Madison Bumgarner John Lackey Zack Greinke Mike Leake David Price James Shields Some of these like Kershaw, Price, and Bumgarner are because of injuries so they should probably be around the 200+ IP mark. The others like Lakey, Greinke, and Shields are all at or near the ends of their careers. I wouldn't be surprised if Greinke is closer to 180 range going forward. A #3 starter right now in the league is someone that is going to give you about 160 IP a year and an ERA of around 3.8-4.0. The days of starters going deep into the game has passed. By looking at the number of complete games in the past 5-years you can see this is true as there were only 433 complete games registered in the last 5-years. Some of the total complete games in the last 5-years for some players were single season numbers for pitchers in the past. The top 10 players in the past 5-years for complete games account for about 84% of all complete games for the last 5-years. Top 10 in the last 5-years in complete games Clayton Kershaw Corey Kluber Chris Sale Madison Bumgarner David Price Johnny Cueto Adam Wainwright Dallas Keuchel Rick Porcello Baseball has changed and it started in the earlier 2000's as we started to see less and less and complete games by pitchers. The bullpens have picked up the slack from the starters and are now just as important if not more important than starters to a team.
  24. Sir I respect that you are a fan of Jake & would like him to "return home". I feel at Jake would be a good add to this team. Unfortunately your offer would be rejected by Tampa. Its the equivalent of offering $15K for the full restored '57 Chevy in the Tampa garage. Its not enough. I don't feel it would cost Burnes, but I could see Tampa targeting Lucas Erceg & a lesser pitching prospect in a deal. Dubon and Diplan for Odorizzi is probably closer to the real value that Odorizzi is worth though Broxton and Peralta would also come very close in value. Dubon would be something the Rays would probably prefer over Broxton as it would allow them to move Adames over to 2B where I believe he would be better defensively.
  25. Not going to happen as Braun can kill any trade. So unless the Dodgers find someone to take all of Kemp's salary and somehow get another team to take Puig it is not happening. The Brewers would also have to pay some of Braun's salary in that deal also.
