  1. Michigan lost to South Carolina and it looks like it is going to be a toss up between Notre Dame and LSU while UCF looks like they are going to beat Auburn.
  2. Except that is not the very worst as with the NFL recently if he starts to get hit a lot and gets a concussion because the Browns offense completely sucks and then he is out of the league before his rookie contract even expires. Then at best he is a backup QB in the league and maybe just maybe a team takes a chance on him because they are also really bad and the cycle starts all over again. I don't see a problem with Rosen not wanting to be drafted by the Browns he can say that and should. At least he is letting the team know he doesn't want to be there why would you want to draft someone who doesn't want to be on your team? Isn't that the first thing you want to know as a coach or GM is if that player wants to be on your team? If they do not then why even try to sign, draft, or trade for that player? The only morons in this situation would be the Browns if they drafted him and knew he didn't want to play for them. Not only does the players value drop so you are going to get less in a trade but you also put yourself in a bind. The Browns need more than a QB to be a good team so I don't see why they would even be targeting a QB at the #1 spot. Rosen isn't even a player I thought about at the #1 spot coming into this season. Actually I don't think there is anyone in college football that I can say is a #1 type no brainer draft pick especially at the QB spot. I like Jackson a lot but he is not a #1 pick type player maybe a 5-10 type pick but not a #1 pick type player. Jackson is actually the QB I think the Browns should get and they can use that #1 pick to get another 2nd round pick plus probably another 3rd round pick this year. To me with the holes that the Browns need to fill having more picks is a smarter choice than going with a QB at #1 who isn't really a franchise changing QB.
  3. Yet they have given up 44 sacks this season 7th worst this year and their offensive line is getting older and will only be giving up more. If your rookie QB is getting sacked 44 times in a season they are not going to last very long if at all. That was also week 5 almost 3-months ago and they have gotten worse since then.
  4. Any QB that is not going to be a Michael Vick like QB in Cleveland is going to have a hard time. I don't think Rosen is really a fit for Cleveland unless they get a new offensive line. The Browns really need to focus on the offensive line well before they get a QB otherwise it is not going to matter who they draft they could draft the 2nd coming of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning and neither of those two QB's would be successful with the offensive line the Browns have right now. I don't think Rosen is a moron as his career will basically end in Cleveland with the way the team is built right now. He wouldn't even make it to FA before having to retire because of injuries. It is what happened to David Carr, Tim Couch, and other QB's who come in to the league with an absolutely pathetic offensive line and no running game. The Browns should be looking at drafting OL, DL, RB, WR, and TE well before they start drafting a QB. Lamar Jackson is probably the best QB for the Browns right now as he is more of an athletic QB and I think he could be had in the middle of the 1st round. Really Rosen or anyone else shouldn't even be a target for the Browns right now with the holes they have in the OL.
  5. I found some old mix tapes I made in high school and I forgot how good Bush was. I kind of miss this type of rock music.
  6. If the video doesn't play at the right point just skip to the 27 minute mark.
  7. I don't think they will lose a draft pick and will probably just get fined for this one. It is not like the Packers are the Patriots where they are always straddling the line of legal or illegal. Coming at this as a non Packers fan I think the teams that brought this issue up might be pushing for changes to the IR system in the NFL which is needed btw. The one interesting thing here is if Rodgers feels slighted by the Packers front office that they are not doing enough to win he could possibly push this with the players union and get a release. I haven't seen or read anything that would indicate Rodgers would do this but it wouldn't surprise me if this were to happen. The Packers management has really put themselves in a bind here with this ho-hum way that they have dealt with Rodgers IR placement. Again I don't see the NFL forcing Green Bay to release Rodgers and I don't think they will take a draft pick away. I think the Packers will just have to pay a fine on this one unless the players union gets involved and then this could get a little more tricky where the NFL is forced to take some kind of action and that action is probably forcing Green Bay to release Rodgers. If you are into the NFL conspiracies then this would be a perfect one as it would allow the NFL to move a star player into their new market of Los Angeles. If the Chargers or the Rams were to get Rodgers I think this would be something the NFL would be salivating over.
  8. Not sure where to put this but. Other NFL teams are not happy how Rodgers was taken off and then put back on IR. According to the NFL rules on IR Rodgers would have been injured again if he were to be placed on IR again or the Packers will have to release him once healthy again. I don't expect the NFL to force the Packers to do this but there is going to be something levied against the Packers for violating this unless the NFL provided an exception for the Packers to do this. Going back on other rule violations it is possible the Packers could lose a draft pick or have to pay a fine. If Rodgers wants out of Green Bay he could use this to get released from the Packers and move on if he thinks the Packers are not supporting him kind of like what Favre did. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2017/12/teams-claim-packers-violated-ir-rules-with-qb-aaron-rodgers
  9. Speaking of Mark Hamill Also Gary Oldman https://robertsspaceindustries.com/squadron42 Game should be out next year maybe hopefully for PC.
  10. Yes they go in but not with 1.9 seconds left and having to rebound the ball. You would have about .5 seconds after the rebound to get a shot off assuming the rebound is clean. If it is a long rebound it is basically .1 seconds which isn't even possible to get the shot off. If the clock was at 4 seconds then yes it would be a bad idea but with 1.9 seconds remaining there is no chance for you to get the rebound and then shoot.
  11. I don't see that as being a bad move its nearly impossible for them to rebound and then make a shot with 1.9 seconds left. After the rebound the player is only going to have about maybe 1 second to throw a blind shot up probably even less than 1 second to do that. The chance to tie the game that way would be about the same as the 4 point play.
  12. Players I like from Colby's list the ones in Bold fit the Brewers recent draftees: 14 Travis Swaggerty C OF L-L 5-11 180 South Alabama Mandeville LA Tremendous bat speed, lots of power potential, impact middle-of-field athlete. 19 Jeremy Eierman C SS R-R 6-1 205 Missouri State Warsaw MO Physical SS, may stick there long-term; power to profile, advanced feel to hit. 24 Joe Gray, Jr. H OF R-R 6-3 195 Hattiesburg Hattiesburg MS Ole Miss Toolsy, physical OF, big-time arm strength, raw power, feel to hit is catching up. 25 Tim Cate C LHP L-L 6-0 187 Connecticut Manchester CT Dominating CB, one of best pitches in college; works low-90s with command. 29 Triston Casas H 1B/3B L-R 6-4 240 American Heritage Pembroke Pines FL Miami Extremely physical LH bat with prodigious raw power. 35 Austin Becker H RHP R-R 6-6 185 Big Walnut Sunbury OH Vanderbilt Extreme projection and arm speed, into mid-90s, flashes plus curveball. 42 Steven Gingery C LHP L-L 6-1 210 Texas Tech Huntington Beach CA Gets into low-90s; shows dynamic swing-and-miss CH with lots of strikes. 43 J.T. Ginn H RHP R-R 6-2 200 Brandon Brandon MS Mississippi State Power-armed, physical, up to 97-98 mph with dynamic curveball. 50 Nicholas Schnell H OF L-R 6-2 180 Roncalli Indianapolis IN Louisville Handles bat extremely well, plus runner/plus arm with athleticism in CF, power projection. 58 Tristan Beck C RHP R-R 6-4 190 Stanford Corona CA 49 Tanner Dodson C RHP/OF B-R 6-2 180 California Elk Grove CA Legit 2-way player, prospect on mound; pitches in mid-90s with sharp breaker. I think my favorites are J.T. Ginn and Austin Becker. I am extremely intrigued by Tim Cate. Colby would a Capuano like comparison be apt for Cate?
  13. I would rather take on more of Kemp's contract and then just release him after the trade and get some better prospects. Kemp has $43m left on his contract if the Brewers take about half of that or pay for 1-season of Kemp from the Dodgers I think the Brewers could get someone like Gavin Lux or Yadier Alvarez from the Dodgers and maybe one more lower level maybe prospect like Cristian Santana. Dustin May wouldn't be bad though I don't like DJ Peters all that much though he does have some legitimate power in his bat. I am just not sure Peters will be able to get on base enough or hit for a high enough average in the majors. Peters strikes out a ton almost 200 K's last year in A+ though he did walk 64 times kind of reminds me of a Mark Reynolds type. I would rather get someone like Edwin Rios who is similar to Peters but is doing it in AA and AAA. Rios is actually someone the Brewers could go out and get as he has no spot to play for the Dodgers with Bellinger at 1B. Rios is strictly a 1B and not a 3B he is absolutely horrible at 3B think Yuni at SS bad at 3B and he isn't athletic enough to even play any of the OF positions. His arm could play at RF/LF though but unfortunately a scare crow placed in the OF would have more range than Rios.
  14. Is there anyway we could include Braun and $$$ to get more prospects? This might be the last chance Stearns has if he wants to get Braun out. Obviously it would depend on prospects and money involved. If we could get Buehler and some lower minor/high upside guys that won't be on the 40 man for a few years that would be amazing. Pay all of Kemp's salary and Braun's this year. Next year Kemp would be on the books, but not Braun and the year after that DS would have money to burn for extensions or FA signings for a run at the WS. That would be a lot of money as the Dodgers are only saving about $2m this year and next. They would also be adding more money in the future which they don't want to do. I am assuming the Dodgers are going to go hard after Keuchel or Harper in the next off season so they are going to want to be as far as they can be under the penalty. You are looking at paying about half of Braun's remaining salary.
  15. I would just release Kemp and take the prospects.
  16. The Dodgers are looking to trade Kemp first and are willing to add prospects if a team will take on a portion of his salary. The Dodgers probably want to clear some space for next year. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/reactions-to-and-effects-of-dodgers-braves-trade.html
  17. The plan would be to release Kemp not keep him.
  18. Not sure if a Braun for Kemp trade would make sense as the Dodgers are only saving about $2m on that deal and they are probably looking to shed more salary than that especially long term. Maybe just doing a Kemp plus prospects would be something the Brewers need to look into. The Dodgers are looking into trading Kemp plus prospects to a team that is willing to take on some or all of his salary. For all of Kemp's salary I would gladly take Buehler from them but I don't think the Dodgers are looking to do that. Maybe something like take on about half of Kemp's salary and get Lux, Yadier Alvarez, and Oaks. The Brewers could then just release Kemp after acquiring him no need to keep him.
  19. That is not the problem. The problem is economically it would be a bad idea for the Brewers to do this. Weeknights for families is just not something the Brewers should be doing as the cost out weighs the benefit. You are just not going to draw enough people to pay for the promotion even if the promotion is basically free.
  20. I think Bundy is do able but I would definitely check in on Britton though I think the Orioles are going to want to hold onto him to see if he can bounce back and regain some of his value after last season.
  21. For the Brewers the 150 starter innings of a 3.00-3.25 ERA guy is worth more as Starters in general get paid more and over a longer period of time than relievers do. A 3.00-3.25 ERA guy in free agency is going to cost you about $10-15m a year. I would rather get two relievers on the free agent market for the price of one starter and at a shorter contract length.
  22. That would be a dumb idea by the Brewers to do this. The majority of their fan base especially the families are going to be at games on Sunday's versus any other day of the week. Doing these giveaways on any other day than a Saturday or a Sunday makes very little to no sense. The impact of doing these giveaways on a weekday is just well nicely put is stupid. Economically it doesn't make sense and from a marketing side it also doesn't make any sense to put these on a weekday. You just won't get the desired outcome from having these events on a weekday compared to a Sunday or a Saturday. The crowd on weekdays and Saturdays are normally vastly different than crowds on Sunday's. On Sunday you are going to have a majority being families while on the weekdays and Saturday you are going to see the crowd being less of a family crowd. The Brewers have to play into this and they have done a very good job at playing to their audience especially with the promotions.
  23. Bitcoins have been used for purchases. Steam a digital media company (they sell video games and software digitally) accepted Bitcoins as a payment option until recently I think it was last month they stopped accepting Bitcoins as a payment. The problem with Bitcoins as a payment right now is the rapid fluctuation of the price for a Bitcoin. Unlike notes (dollars, euros, etc.) that don't normally change all that much and if they do it is a fraction of what they are worth Bitcoin can change by $1 to $100 in a second or two. This causes a lot of issues with using Bitcoin as a legal tender. I don't think Bitcoin is going to be the cryptocurrency that changes the world into a cryptocurrency but it is coming. The way that technology is moving now it is only a matter of time before paper and coin based currency goes away. The way that banks are setting themselves up lately is to take advantage of the cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency does has its advantages but right now the disadvantages just out weigh them. Sweden and South Korea have started to move towards a cryptocurrency it is still unknown if this is going to work but the cryptocurrency revolution is going to happen maybe not in its current state but one way or another cryptocurrency is going to be how you pay for things in the future.
  24. The Giants do in fact have interest in Broxton. The Giants do not have the prospects to land Santana nor do they have anyone beyond Bumgarner that I would want in return on their major league roster for Santana. Broxton on the other hand I still believe a Will Smith plus a low level prospect makes sense for both teams. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/giants-among-teams-showing-interest-in-domingo-santana.html
  25. A refurbished one would get reset to the factory defaults meaning they fixed whatever the issue was and then tested the unit. The only thing I can think of is that you bought an open item and returned laptop. Should be easy to fix though all you need to do is restart the laptop and have it open in safe mode and then download an anti virus and remove the virus. Another option is to replace the hard drive and reinstall windows on that new hard drive. Probably would be a good idea as I am assuming the hard drive you have is probably rather small and is filled with bloatware.
