  1. Just say no to the Rays and walk away. According to HH, Stearns did just that and told the Rays no. Don't get fleece by the Rays and make an awful trade, it's better to walk away.
  2. Agree, I want to keep all these players in your list too. Burnes should be untouchable. Stearns had already say no to the Rays and I hope he remains steadfast in keeping Burnes.
  3. I absolutely will not trade Burnes for Archer. Burnes should be as untouchable as Hader. According to HH, Stearns had already said no to the Rays regarding Burnes, because he knows this would make it a really awful trade for the Brewers. It's much better to walk away than make an awful trade.
  4. The owner Mark A can very well afford to sign Darvish if he really wanted to, time for him to step up and get Yu signed. The Brewers rotation should be set for the season with Darvish in the fold.
  5. "Could" is the operative word, and considering the Brewers' success developing TOR pitchers over the last 20 years, and the sheer amount of "coulds" that have flamed out or haven't lived up to expectations, what are the chances that Burnes reaches Nelson's level as a strong #2/borderline #1? 10%? 5% Less than that? Now if the team had the Cardinals' or Braves' track records for developing pitchers, that would be one thing. But I'm jaded by our history. For every Nelson or Ben Sheets, there are dozens of Taylor Jungmanns, Eric Arnetts, Will Inmans and Mark Rogers. So if the question is whether we should deal one or two of our "coulds" for proven MLB talent, I'd lean toward yes. The Brewers management have change, no more Doug Melvin era, I'd give Stearn's team a fair chance to develop pitchers. The track record can improve, I don't dwell on the past too much. So far nothing in Burnes performance suggest he couldn't reach Nelson's level, and Woodruff looks promising. The Brewers did trade away Odorizzi who was great in the minors.
  6. I wouldn't mind signing Archer as a FA but he's not. The Rays want our top pitching prospects (Corbin Burnes) which is unacceptable to me. Very glad Stearns said no to Rays. Stearns is right, it's better for the Brewers to develop homegrown cheap controllable SPs. They did it with Nelson and Burnes could be just as good as Nelson in the future.
  7. I wouldn't trade Domingo for Salazar. Salazar has proven to be not durable and could miss many games.
  8. I'm getting a little worried. Seems like the Rays are looking to fleece the Brewers in this trade, my advice to Stearns is it's better to walk away than make a bad trade. I'd much rather go with the pitchers we currently have than making a bad trade.
  9. Say you can get Luc at 2yr/$10M, do you pull the trigger? Yes I would, provided we can dump Vogt's contract on another team.
  10. Corbin Burnes should be as untouchable as Hader, I absolutely would not trade Burnes for Archer. I remember Stearns said in an interview that the Brewers plan to develop homegrown SPs, I really hope he sticks with the plan. Burnes could be very valuable in the Brewers rotation in the next 2-3 years.
  11. Brogdon and Sterling Brown are definitely keepers, the Bucks should not trade either of them.
  12. The moral of the story is that trading for Archer is very bad idea? I agree it's a bad idea because the prospects costs is way too high.
  13. If Yu signs with the Brewers, I will change my CC avatar to a Yu avatar. Hope the Brewers succeed. If the Brewers get Darvish, I don't see the need to trade for Archer. The trade cost for Archer is way too high, I'd stay away. No way I will trade Corbin Burnes. Really hope the Brewers stay away from making a bad trade.
  14. Pls don't remind me of one of the worst Bucks trade ever. Thank god Hammond is gone, hopefully Horst performs like Stearns for the Bucks. He traded for Bledsoe and fired Kidd, so that's a good start. Very excited that Jabari will return in this Friday's game, this team has the capability to get the 3rd seed.
  15. I think it would be better to keep Domingo, the Brewers are going for it and could really use his bat in the lineup, and it's possible his defense could improve. His trade value could be higher at the trade deadline.
  16. Firing Kidd is a very good thing for this team. I've now more confidence that the team will perform better going forward.
  17. Hopefully the Brewers can sign Darvish to a 4-5 year deal.
  18. Braun should be able to play 1B. If Thames and Lucroy can play 1B, I don't see why Braun couldn't.
  19. Really hope the Brewers manage to sign Darvish, I think he's the ace we are looking for and we don't need to trade away any prospects to get him.
  20. I like the trade. Stearns is doing a great job so far.
  21. Seems like the interested teams not are giving the Brewers enough value for a Domingo trade. Since we are going for it this season, I think it would be better to keep Domingo's bat in the lineup and try to sign Darvish. Could be better to buy a top pitcher than trade Domingo + top prospects for one. Move Braun to 1B/DH/4th OF and platoon with Thames. LF - Yelich, CF - Cain, RF - Santana. Go with a lineup of Cain, Yelich, Santana, Shaw, Braun, Sogard, Pina and Arcia, or alternative lineup of Cain, Yelich Santana, Shaw, Pina, Thames, Arcia and Sogard.
  22. I doubt the PTBNL is Mendez because if he was in list there wouldn't even be a need for a PTBNL, the Brewers would've taken him right away instead of waiting till the end of the season. I really hope I'm wrong about this as Mendez the top pitching prospect that I want included in the trade. As of now the trade return for Lucroy/JJ has been disappointing.
  23. Will Villar be unhappy to play 3B?
  24. Anyone know if the PTBNL is another top pitching prospect? It would make me feel much better about the trade. Frankly I'm disappointed with the return, with JJ bundled into trade I wanted another top pitching prospect back at least. I do like both Brinson and Ortiz, but really hope we get another top pitching prospect from the Rangers.
  25. With the pickup of Marshall whom I like a lot, the signing of Bayless makes little sense and the Bucks now have too many players. I'm very concerned about our young players playing time with all the higher paid veterans hanging around. Really hope we can trade away Zaza, Ersan and Delfino for picks. I want the young players playing all the games, develop their game and build team chemistry. Marshall / Wolters / Knight Knight / Mayo / Bayless Giannis / Middleton / Inglis Parker / O'Bryant / Inglis Sanders / Henson / Miroslav The entire team 26 and under.
