  1. Woodruff? To be fair to Guerra, he has performed better than Woodruff in ST so far. As such he deserves the rotation spot more.
  2. So far, the worst Brewers 1B in spring training is Thames.
  3. A. Win a world series. But why can't we have both? Win a world series and multiple playoff appearances for 10 years.
  4. After today's outing, I hope the Brewers cut Miley or send him to the minors. Miley is reverting back to the pitcher he was last season. Hope the Brewers sign Cobb for the last rotation spot, if that doesn't happen, I'd rather have Guerra in the rotation than Miley.
  5. Suter is almost certain to be in the rotation. I've a soft spot for Yo. I think it's very likely Yo gets a spot in the bullpen. If the Brewers don't get Cobb, I think the last rotation spot probably goes to Miley. Guerra and Woodruff will probably start the season in AAA. The Brewers should cut Drake immediately.
  6. Adam Lind just signed a minor league deal. Nobody is trading for Thames right now, and the Brewers need an LHB 1B/PH even if Braun does play ~120 games at 1B. Thames has also been a significantly better player than Aguilar for their entire careers, including even last year when Aguilar over-achieved dramatically. Keeping Aguilar instead of Thames does not add up. If they don't want Thames, they'll keep Choi instead. I figure Thames has more trade value than Aguilar and that was the reason why I want to trade him. But if Thames can't be traded, I'm fine with keeping him on the bench as backup 1B to give Braun some days off.
  7. He looked good at 1B in this game, I think he should be the regular 1B starter as he's a better hitter than Thames. The Brewers should try to trade Thames instead of Santana. Keep Aguilar as the backup 1B and pinch hitter, and keep Choi in AAA as the 3rd 1B. https://youtu.be/wIubqc0F1Is
  8. Rangers vs Brewers 13/03/2018 Full Game https://youtu.be/wIubqc0F1Is Braun played well at 1B and good ABs vs Hamels. Braun should be the regular 1B starter, he's a better hitter than Thames. Albers looked great, I think he's going to be a very good FA signing for the Brewers.
  9. Prefer to have Braun in RF than Yelich. If Braun plays 1B, RF and LF, that's pretty versatile and should have plenty of ABs. I've a feeling he will get the majority of his ABs in 1B.
  10. The Brewers should cut Vogt and save the $2M+. Even when healthy he's not good.
  11. The Asian guys Choi and Huira did well today.
  12. Very disappointed that Stearns didn't replace Villar with Walker.
  13. I find that Darvish has the better deal, his $126M contract is guaranteed, there is no risk to the player. Arrieta's deal has much more risk to the player.
  14. Yeah, I much prefer to have Cobb than Miley. Suter looked great in ST and deserved a spot in the rotation. But I'm not convince on Miley, he's going to be the next Milone. Woodruff doesn't look ready to be the 5th starter from his ST performance.
  15. Villar still strikeouts too much, wish we would replace him with Walker.
  16. Another Boras cilent loses money due to greed, rejected a 3 year $45M extension only to end up signing 1 year $8M in free agency.
  17. That's a very reasonable offer, he shouldn't have turn it down.
  18. Same thing with Holland and Boras where they reportedly turned down 3yrs/52 million from Colorado, only to see the Rockies pivot and give that money to Wade Davis. Now Holland is still unsigned and won't get anywhere near that 52 million whenever he does get picked up. Boras and his clients are too greedy, and now they got burnt for their greed, they have only themselves to blame. It's ridiculous for the union to blame the league when the players had rejected very reasonable offers from teams.
  19. My guess is 3/$60M and he signs with the Brewers.
  20. Hope the Brewers are talking to Lucroy and Walker.
  21. I won't be surprise that the offers to Cobb are much less than the previously rumored Cubs offer of 3/$42 that he rejected.
  22. The "new" primary logo is quite disappointing as I find it dull and unimaginative. I think the Bucks did a better job with their "new" primary logo, it's much more interesting and unique.
  23. Wonder if it was his agent Boras that advised him to turn down the QO. If so, his agent has lost him a lot of money. I think Boras must be getting desperate, his old ways don't work anymore, and he still has several unemployed clients. I can now see Arrieta and Holland signing for much less, maybe this could be a buying opportunity for the Brewers.
  24. I think Arrieta made the huge mistake of not negotiating and sign the big contract after the 2015 season, probably due to the bad advice of Boras to wait for FA. I think this year's free agency has taught players that FA could be a nightmare, and many more players would now be keen to negotiate for extensions early rather than wait for FA. This could help the Brewers sign their own players to reasonable extensions in the future.
