  1. I was just about to post that. Awesome deal. I went with the Arcade for $169, an HDMI cable from Monoprice, and a $20 20 gig HD from ebay. Victory!
  2. Depending on how valuable the data is on there, there are companies that can still recover the data (think men in hazmat suits), but I think you'd be talking about thousands of dollars.
  3. The book Baseball for by Dummies, by Joe Morgan. It had a one-paragraph blurb about OBP. /fixed
  4. West Loop South is a horrible name for a street. West! Wait, no, South! Oh noes, I'm lost.
  5. Do you know where to get the stands? I have a seat with no stand, and I don't know any welders.
  6. Better plan: take the shuttle from State Fair. Guaranteed parking!
  7. Most likely comp tickets, as people have said before. MLB takes a ton of tickets for themselves and their sponsors, and I don't think they pay (though I could be wrong on that front).
  8. There is WiFi, but I don't know the specifics. As far as watching the Cubs, you may want to consider Fridays (in the stadium) or heading to Bluemound to one of many sports bars.
  9. Oversimplistic analysis: .50^3 = .125 = 12.5% That is, if you assume we have a 50/50 chance of winning each game. The optimist says yes.
  10. Nice to see Mr. A is a Miller fan.
  11. Because of the mass media influx, there will be a ton more tv trucks and, thus, less parking. You'll probably be better off buying parking in advance.
  12. I'm sure it won't happen, but the idea of having a 1970's style closer would be pretty cool. Bring him in during the 7th or 8th and just let him finish.

  14. Please let the Scott Bartell thing go. Let's get back on track with the Hardy discussion.
  15. It would be nice if people would be given the benefit of the doubt when they get info. This wasn't an over-the-top attention grab, just passing info along. If we continue to accuse those who have that info, chances are we will stop receiving it.
  16. I have 2 Field Outfield tickets for Saturday (section 126, row 10ish) that I am looking to trade for tickets to tomorrow's (Friday's) game. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM. Edit: Ticket WOAH SOLVVD.
  17. Just missed a BOC.... had them confirmed, then got an error because I forgot to fill out a section. Grrr....
  18. If you are a Road Runner customer, there is free WiFi in the parking lots and right field area. If you're not a customer, I'm not sure.
  19. Charleston is to the Pirates as Appleton is to us. That's a really good fit for them.
  20. I'd bet that the home clubhouse was on lockdown (coaches offices, video rooms, weight rooms, etc.), whereas the visitors locker room had standard access (in this case, more usable amenities). A lesser thought could be that Houston's dugout is on the 3rd base side at Minute Maid. Even lesser, that they wanted to feel like they normally do at Miller Park.
  21. We are going about this all wrong. Look at how much fun the Mets' fans are having with their collapse!

  23. On the Round Rock front, IIRC when I was there the staff was almost entirely volunteers, most of whom have probably returned to HS/college at this point. It is a great facility, possibly the best in the minors, but it is probably a lot easier to mobilize MLB stadium ops than MiLB stadium ops.
