  1. I'd venture to say that the days of being able to buy single-game playoff tickets has passed: MLB Postseason Reservations I can't say I'm a fan of this... 22 teams don't even make the LDS.
  2. Unassisted triple play. Furcal (Atl v. StL). I was one of a group of 3 on a road trip who began immediately screaming while the rest of the stadium figured out what was happening. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. Stand-up comedy, courtesy of Mr. Selig! Take my wife, please!
  4. Pomeranz seems like the beacon of excitement.
  5. May he be the next Jeff Suppan! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Colon? Indeed.... How far will Grandal fall?
  7. My guesses for the next 3: Grandal, Pomerantz, Cox.
  8. I was too lazy to change my avatar after the last election. This next pick has to be Machado.
  9. Just the love of TV... the whole thing is staged. I'd guess the first 6-7 teams have their guy by now.
  10. I had one signed by everybody in our wedding party, and gave each of my groomsmen a personalized bat as their gift. Made for some awesome pictures too!
  11. I think you're required to get "SHARPIE", or some derivative thereof.
  12. However, Ruben Quevedo and Glendon Rusch were pictured.
  13. Hopefully the names were changed to protect the innocent.
  14. Round Rock may end up with the Rangers, since Nolan Ryan has a stake in them, and now is an owner of the Rangers.
  15. Mr. Boras, the only thing that will fix is your checking account. This way, the big market teams can have access to the top 40 amateur players, and the rest of the league can pick from the swill. Perfect! LINK TO BAD IDEA
  16. When we went to RFK a few years back, fans were few and scalpers were plenty. We had bought ahead of time, which was unfortunate, as we could have gotten better seats for half the cost. Worst case scenario, just buy at the window, like you could have during the Jerry Royster era in Milwaukee.
  17. I used the Green Acres video to basically say that we both have our preferences, and neither of them is wrong. I'm sure Boise is great too.
  18. To summarize:
  19. Basically, TX has everything but snow, so as long as he's not looking for skiing, sledding, or skating, it's here. There are tons of lakes near Austin, and about 30-45 minutes west of Austin is Hill Country, which has tons of bike trails with amazing views. The lower Colorado river goes right through Austin for kayaking, though there are plenty of other options as well. Tons of Outdoor Stuff
  20. I assume you've never been.
  21. Austin and the burbs just finished adding a tollway, so although traffic is bad, it's not as bad as it once was. As far as nature, if you head west from Austin, you'll end up in Hill Country, which has some pretty awesome views. The Round Rock Express are located there, and it's possibly the nicest facility in MiLB. The music scene is awesome, and if you happen to feel like an MLB game, Houston and Arlington are each about a 3-hour drive.
  22. If something horrible happens and Justin Upton's career ends today, he still gets paid the entire $51 million. Financial security for life, plus the possibility of another huge payday later.
  23. http://cdn1.ioffer.com/img/item/423/356/96/Bonanza-Photograph-C12146713.jpeg More likely: random leftovers from the 2009 season.
  24. That's definitely a mistake. I'd contact them and let them know. And, if you don't let them know, presumably the original owner will call and complain, and those tickets will be voided. Basically, I believe they do a mass print and have an envelope-stuffing party to mail them out. Those got stuffed in the wrong envelope.
