  1. If a bar only had one "non-macro" brew on tap, I wouldn't come back a second time. With so many local breweries, you should be able to have 2 or more craft/micro beers on tap. I think of Rounding Third, which is a pretty basic bar. However, besides the standard macros you can get a Goose Island, Leine's, Spotted Cow, Blue Moon, and at least one other, I think. I do a lot of my drinking at Harry's, and they usually have 3-5 micro brews on tap (more restaurant than bar)
  2. I really don't think your location is factoring into getting an interview - it's just a tough market. My first job after college was all the way across the country. They phone interviewed me, offered me the job (without an in-person), and when I asked if they pay relocation they said no. So I paid for it myself. Then my next job was back in Wisconsin. I got a phone interview, they paid to fly me out, and they paid relocation. It all depends on the employer. But really, they're going to look for the most qualified person, and location is not a qualification. Especially if you're applying for government jobs, we're not allowed to consider that.
  3. I'll have to pull mine out to check if it's numbered, but I think it looks pretty good. We couldn't make the Robin Yount meet and greet, but he did sign extra posters and I was able to pick one up through my ticket rep about a week later. It looks really nice, in my opinion.
  4. Oh, you'll never run out of stuff to buy. Now SgtClueLs wants a stir plate and a kegging system.
  5. SgtClueLs has brewed about 5 batches of beer, and I've never smelled it other than brew day and bottle day. He keeps the carboy in the basement or a closet. He's telling me right now that some beers smell like sulfur, but I guess he hasn't brewed any of those.
  6. you can download movies on itunes....same as Blockbuster I think, but you only have a week or so and 24 hours once you play it. I wonder if iTunes is standard enough to be allowed on your computer.
  7. Section 210, row 6. Face value is $38 per seat. Asking $30 per seat. Please send an email to liz.vanlysal at gmail.com. I don't check my yuku inbox regularly, and the email notifications never worked for me. Could exchange in UWM area or Wauwatosa. Will throw in NYCE club passes if you want them.
  8. Capitaltigers, I'm sure you'll have a great time. As many have mentioned there are lots of shuttles to Miller Park, and if you want to try a bar/restaurant that isn't listed, we can let you know if they have a shuttle. Related - now that Miller Park charges a fee for shuttles, wouldn't it be nice if they listed all the establishments that have paid the fee on their site? That would give fans a nice starting point to find transportation, even though not all shuttles would run to all the games (some are weekends only, etc).
  9. We'll be there - will you be in Loge or Terrace Box?
  10. Still won't convince me to eat at McDonald's if there's another food option within 10 miles.
  11. He threw out the first pitch at Miller Park last year.
  12. Maybe check this thread
  13. I don't know anything about plumbing, but my boyfriend's dad told me never to use draino or anything like that - if your plumbing is clogged you've gotta take it apart and clean it or you're just delaying the inevitable. Don't even know if that applies, but I figured I'd contribute. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. The brewers were advertising a bus trip from Miller park - only $15 per person. Super deal.
  15. darn, brewers got it up before I could. oh well.
  16. I wrote down all the songs this weekend....on the scorecard which is in the car that's not home right now. It's coming, I promise.
  17. I'm sure it won't excite anyone, but Hart's been signing on the field right before the game starts the last few days.
  18. I had decided not to care about at-bat songs this year, but maybe I'll pay attention on Friday. Can't keep you all hanging. What I know that hasn't been said: Prince has a real song, not just a noise. Starts out weird though. Escobar's is the same as last year
  19. We got into the Giants (Molitor) lot at about 9:10, no problems anywhere really. It was mom's first opening day and she had a blast.
  20. That is so incredibly disappointing.
  21. That sucks Blanco - I probably would have had them terminate me 1) for unemployment and 2) I wouldn't be ashamed to explain the reason to my next employer.
  22. This is kind of cool: Finally, a new roof control room has been built on the Loge Level concourse. Fans will be able to see behind the "Wizard's curtain" as a glass wall has been constructed, allowing viewing opportunities of the area where the Miller Park roof is operated.
  23. So, SgtCluels just got charged $70 for our $28 bill....they're going to figure it out, but you all might want to check your bank accounts to see if the waitress made any mistakes.
