  1. I've been on this site for a month, and I was waiting for someone to point out the fact that I'm one of the few women on here. I can't believe I was scooped with the Fielder news. I usually check the jsonline blog every few hours. Looks like he'll be playing on tomorrow (if there's a game) though, so that's great news. Latest forecast: Horrible. It's raining now, and it is supposed to continue raining until well after game time.
  2. I planned poorly and only ordered cable last wednesday. My fault. Prince has flu-like symptoms? I heard he just wasn't feeling well. I wonder if there's a chance he picked up what Hardy had? That wouldn't be too good. I also wouldn't like the game to be played Tuesday...I already have off Monday afternoon & Friday and spent a week at spring training...my office will start wondering if I work for them or the Brewers.
  3. Would this cause any kind of a staffing problem for concessions, ticket windows, etc, that wouldn't normally be open 4-5 hours before gametime? Parking?
  4. Oh don't worry. I have the afternoon off and I'll be supporting some local establishment with cable and delicious refreshments. I was hoping to DVR the game though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  5. I would have loved to watch the Nationals game tonight if the stupid cable guy had showed up on Friday. I'm just a little bit bitter that I have to wait until at least Thursday to have ESPN or FSN.
  6. More songs are in this thread in Off-Topic: http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=11718/master/1/?page=1
  7. My post from the Braun thread: I like to make mix CD's to get pumped for the game, so I pay attention to the walk up music...here's what I got from Friday & Saturday: Weeks: Dey Know by Shorty Lo Cameron: Flashing Lights by Kanye West Fielder: Don't know the title...rap song with lyrics "tell me what you got" Braun: Superstar by Lupe Fiasco Hardy: Flower by Moby Gwynn: Life of da Party by Snoop Dog If I had more of a rap background I could figure out Hall and Hart, but I couldn't make out any of the lyrics. ------------------- Thanks for the info BradyCoo....you filled in a lot of gaps for me.
  8. Bull Durham is fun....For The Love of the Game. I just DVR'd some baseball movies from WGN's marathon that I haven't seen yet, so I'm excited to check those out.
  9. I saw that before I went to bed last night, and made sure it was the first thing I looked for in the Sunday paper this morning. Reading that was my happiest moment today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. I remember seeing something on the scoreboard about 80's trivia as one of that fan activities that will be offered during some weekend games this season...maybe those will be retro nights?

  12. I'm taking off Monday afternoon to watch the opener on TV, and Friday for the home opener. I'm a little crazy though - I also take off for most home day games as well.
  13. I remember watching the Av's game with the Roy-Osgood fight when I was in high school....I just sat there in awe saying "holy [crap]" over and over. And then the next year I stopped watching hockey. EDIT: Please don't taunt the cuss filter - b19
  14. I used to live in DC....Haven't been there for a few years but Dupont Circle was my favorite place ever. The zoo was also pretty cool. Check out the Nats in the new stadium if there's a game!
  15. Like father, like son. Remember when this happened?
  16. Hmmmm...since I'll be at the st. patrick's day game I'm tempted to head to Kohls to pick something up. At least at Kohls prices I can afford to buy a shirt I won't wear much...the same shirt would probably sell for $50 in the fanzone.
  17. I'm a full-season ticket holder (4 seats) and all I've gotten so far are my exhibition tickets and extra opening day tickets...I keep running home to check the mailbox and getting disappointed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  18. the thought of Braun dating LC makes me throw up in my mouth, just a little bit.
  19. I leave on Sunday morning. I'm also super excited to catch the game on TV tomorrow night!
  20. I'm pretty sure they're on sale to the public on Monday, March 3 (tomorrow). I'm a season ticket holder so I got mine last monday.
  21. 2 weeks until I'm in Phoenix! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif You can generally bring bags into Maryvale, but they need to be small. Restrictions are on their website. Each park is different though...Electric Park in Tucson wouldn't let us bring in sealed soda last year.
  22. You're all going to think I'm nuts, but have you thought about taking the city bus? If you're coming from the East Side or downtown it's a pretty easy ride, and it's $1.75 each way. You get dropped off right near home plate. Last year I had a MCTS Commuter Value Pass, so I rode the bus "for free" to a lot of games. It was actually really convenient.
  23. I'm heading down to Phoenix for a week on March 16. This will be my second year at spring training. My family rented a condo in Mesa. Yes, it's Cubs territory, but there's easy freeway access and lots of conveniences close by. For those of you that want to start doing this yearly, I'd recommend the condo option. Ours is a 2-bedroom w/ a pool and grill for about $600/week. You can cook some of your own meals to save money and you have all the conveniences of home. I didn't get clued in to morning practices before "away" games until late in the week last year, so I'm looking forward to lots of those this year. Easy access to the players - you can hang out right behind home plate. Check out the ticket availability for weekend games in advance - the March 22 game vs the Giants is already down to lawn seats only, and tickets are going online for $30 - $100!
  24. In the mailbag on brewers.com it said that you could buy an all-access package for $14.95 for the entire season. LINK Activated link - b19
