  1. I'm not quite sure how you figure 8, 10, and 12 are close to 16. In response to maximizing run production, bumping up our production w/ RISP would certainly help. Less K's (putting the ball in play more, therefor moving runners over, getting sacrifices, etc) would help. We are batting a dismal .189 w/ the bases chucked. There are many ways in which this team leaves runs on the table. We saw it throughout the Cardinals series and the Cubs series. Hopefully the figure this out.
  2. RISP Watch: Brewers : 1-3 Reds : 0-3
  3. I would argue much against this point. I think we have a FAR more talented team than the Minnesota Twins, yet they have about the same record and are within 1 game in their division. They also have the highest BA w/ RISP in MLB. Whether or not these 2 are connected is up to you, I guess. (This is also tough to compare AL to NL, I understand that). I think this metric attempts to guage the ability of a team to manufacture runs and get his when they count. An all-or-nothing offense like the Brewers have will only get you so far.
  4. RISP WATCH: Brewers : 1-3 Reds : 0-3
  5. I don't have a ranking for you, however listening to the Reds TV broadcast yesterday over MLB.tv, they said the Brewers were dead last in MLB. This wouldn't suprise me as they are hitting a less-than-stellar .237 w/ RISP this season.
  6. They didn't. My number was off. It's fixed now. Should be g2g the rest of the game http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Correct, I missed the last groundout
  8. RISP Watch Brewers : 1-3 Reds : 0-3 Looking good so far!
  9. I'm not in dismay, nor do I hate Rickie. I believe, however, that we are the worst hitting team with RISP in all of MLB. I'll take those stats over one game anyday. My point of keeping the watch is not because I hope the Brewers do bad or because I am in dismay over it, it is much to the contrary. I would be willing to let the whole game play out to find out if I am in dismay over it. I hope that it becomes non-sensical and stupid to keep it because they begin crushing the ball w/ RISP.
  10. I'll update the running tally after every complete inning. Thus far: Brewers : 0-2 w/ RISP Reds : 1-2 w/ RISP
  11. Look at our lineup... Rickie Weeks : .225 BA Bill Hall & Mike Cameron : A robust .229 BA Craig Counsell : .238 BA Jason Kendall : .244 BA (Jeff Suppan) : .038 BA VERY impressive...
  12. I'm going to try and keep a running tally for this game. So far: 0-2 w/ RISP
  13. Dang. How low was that pitch to Braun? Gamecast isn't very accurate from what I recall.
  14. Anybody here been skydiving? I am planning on going next Thursday and just wanted to see what kind of experiences people have had. I love a good rush and am positive this is something that I will love. After I go, I'll make sure to give you the updates on how it went and what I thought of it.
  15. http://www.gambits.com/politics/janet-reno-update.jpg Janet Reno!
  16. You should go back to eating meat?
  17. Well Fielder is back out in the field, so it can't be that bad.
  18. Here is the recap of what I saw on MLB.tv Fielder and Parra were walking next to eachother in the dugout. Fielder must have said something, Parra slammed his jacket down on the bench. He must have said somethign back to Prince becasue Prince lunged back at Manny and shoved him twice into the bench. The rest of the dugout very quickly restrained a visibly angry Fielder and took him back to the clubhouse. And the wheels continue to fall off...
  19. What are fielder and Parra fighting about?
  20. Linked here... ahem. I've recently become very proficient at using chopsticks. Oops. I should have supplied a link. Whats the trick with chopsticks? I'm serviceable with them and I like using them, but am not proficient. Any pointers?
  21. I'm having a blast over at the politics and religion forum!
  22. I have 0 confidence that we can put up runs against Chuck James tonight. For that matter, I also have 0 confidence that Jeff Suppan can have a good outing for once. I'll believe it when I see it. Good luck to the Brewers. They need a W.
  23. Regardless of that, all those STILL in favor of starting Kapler over Cameron: I
  24. So, who do you have in the WS? I'll take the Angels over the Cubs.
  25. The 1st 3 balls moved Edmonds back, the 4th one was behind him. It was pretty obvious. Sucks to be the 1st Brewer batter up in the bottom of the 9th. Doesn't sound like he had much of a case then. Not the classiest move, but oh well. Glad to see someone has some fight left.
