    Derosa must have started a new cycle at the beginning of August or something. His August line: .345/.424/.673/1.097 EDIT: Make that the whole season. His career average (before this season) is 44.7 AB/HR. This year, 25.44 AB/HR

    I used to have XM and it was nice. I wasn't in the car enough to justify keeping it, however, and thus got rid of it. To anybody with XM currently: If you want some free months, I suggest calling up and telling them you want to cancel. When I did, they first offered me a lower rate for a month or 2, then eventually it got to where they offered me 6 months completely free. I still canceled it, as I didn't want the hastle of calling up again and I didn't use it that much (only to listen to the Brewer games). I think its definetly worth a shot to see if they still have that going on.

    Just about any character from South Park has to be up near the top for me. I also love Peter Griffin. As far as real people, I would say Crede from The Office is one of my favorites.

    Yeah, bork, I'm not quite sure why I keep reading these. It's just a bunch of people reacting to the previous days games with "SIT CAMERON" or "why is Rickie playing" kind of stuff.

    If there is a good chance the runner would otherwise be out at the plate, I say absolutely its okay to sacrafice a baserunner. This gives you a guaranteed run vs. the potential of a run if the other guy gets hit in. Going into more depth, however, leads me to thin that it depends on the situation. If you are down 3 runs in the 8th with 2 outs, you don't want to sacrafice the runner because you'll still be down 2 runs. Certain situations call for sacraficing the baserunner and certain don't. I didn't have a problem with the play last night.

    I do know probability and game theory. I'm simply saying that he took a chance, and the outcome was positive, there for it appears to be a good decision based on his information at hand. I would also like to think that baseball is much more dynamic than is poker. I think momentum has more to do with the outcome of a baseball game than a poker game. Markredmanman5 - I guess it depends on what you are looking at, short term or long term. My statement was directed at short term results in that they won the game that night, so it was a good choice. So based on this, yeah I guess walking CC to get RB to make an out would be a good short-term decision, not long term (nor do I think that is a decision anybody would ever make). Overall, I am taking the subjective approach just to play devils advocate, but I understand both sides of the argument. It is much more objective to say that the win odds decreased from X% to Y% so he shouldn't do it. I like to see managers/coaches gamble a little bit. If we only went by the statistics of things, there wouldn't ever be any intentional walks, sacrifice bunts, nobody would go for it on 4th down, etc. I like the dynamic nature of these high-stress situations which is probably the main reason I am arguing that I like this decision (that and they won), but as I said, your point is completely valid. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    If the only positive outcome is to win the game, can't you make it simple and say that any decision which leads to that outcome is a good decision?

    I think you have to call it a good decision because they won the game. Easy as that. Yeah, Hamilton may have made an out, but he is as good of an RBI hitter as there is in baseball. A simple scenario like this changes that whole game: Hamilton singles - 2 runs score (7-5) Byrd Doubles - 2 runs score (7-7) if Hamilton gets a hit there, the entire momentum of the game changes. I believe this has a lot to do with the outcome of a game.

    You are telling me that if you had your own clothing line, you wouldn't wear it to public events? Right. He's just marketing his product. Sounds like smart business to me, and apparently its working as you see people all over Milwaukee rocking these t's. Personally, I don't have any problem with them. I think its nuts to pay $60 for a t-shirt, but they do look pretty cool. If they were closer $20 I would probably buy a few. On the screenprinted jeans, I think Ryan Bruan is a very fashionable guy and he admits to loving fashion. Not necessarily my thing, but good for him. Looks like that is working too considering he's hanging out with supermodels. Can't really knock him for that one.

    I went to a place called "Skydive Twin Cities" which is ironic because it is actually in Wisconsin (whew). They are located about 30 minutes east of the twin cities (just outside of Baldwin, Wisconsin). Their website is:\ www.skydivetwincities.com Their claim to fame is that its the closest place to skydive from the metro area. All that aside, I had a pleasant time and the place was packed, so you can watch other skydivers come down in the groups before/after you, which is always fun.

    I also go with the 2 hard drive approach. I have been building my own PC's a long time now, and this is certainly the way to go. I have a 300GB SATA drive as my secondary that I keep all my DL'd files, music, movies, game saves, school stuff, etc. on. For my main drive, I have a 72GB Western Digital Raptor (these things are great. they absolutely fly). Whenever I need to reformat, I take about 10 minutes to look through the main drive, make sure there is nothing I haven't moved to my secondary drive yet, then I wipe that sucker clean! Works great. As an aside: I am very suprised in the fact that I haven't had to reformat in 2 years (since I built my latest comp.). This computer I built is fantastic. Prior to this PC, I was in a habit of reformatting every ~6-12 months. My current PC is still screaming fast and I have tons of stuff on it. I love it

    Well I did end up going yesterday. As I figured, it was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend it to anybody thinking about it. I did a tandem jump from ~11-13000 feet. We had about 60 seconds of freefall with a 5 minute parachute ride down. I didn't end up getting the video, it was just too much. They charge $95 for the video, and I paid $179 for the jump itself. I figure if I want a video fo it that bad, I'll just have to do it again http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. But yeah, it was fantastic. The rush of freefall was unreal, followed by the extremely peaceful parachute ride. Everybody should try this at least once.
