Roenicke just retracted his comment before the game, and said he won't pinch-hit.

Technically they should have Lucroy in between Gamel and Kotsay, but oh well. Roenicke never gets it completely right.

Well, looks like Roenicke finally got it right. Gamel hitting 5th and playing over McGehee, and Betancourt hitting 7th. I'd prefer he hit 8th, but it's better than 5th or 6th. If Braun was in there it would still look a lot better, but hopefully he will tomorrow. Time for another retro uni win.

Man, this is horrible. Even though it's not his fault, Hamilton has to be feeling very bad about this. This is very sad to see.

The problem is that crappy sports talk really isn't worth listening to. I'd rather not listen to it than listen to some of the crap on 1250. I rarely listen to the Big Show, and now the morning show isn't as good without Doug. I really dislike Michaels, so I won't listen to that either. I do like the Brewer post game show though.

Kotsay is not the best option for the 5 hole. Kotsay is the best option to be DFA'ed. Just about everyone on both the Brewers and Sounds roster other than Wilson, Counsell & Betancourt is a better option for the 5 hole. I'd rather see Kottaras in the 5 hole and making his career OF debut than Kotsay. I'd rather bring Khris Davis up from A+ ball to hit in the 5 hole than Kotsay. I've been just as down on him as everyone else. At the moment, he's 7/16 in July with a .750 SLG. That's not too bad. Sure he will drop off again, but for right now he's swinging a fairly hot bat. I don't want Yuni or McGehee in the 5 hole. Lucroy maybe, but with Braun out and Hart hitting 3rd the options are limited. I'd love to have Gamel in there hitting 5th too, but we all know Roenicke won't do that. With these players in the lineup on this day, Kotsay is probably the best option in the 5 hole sadly.

Really hope Braun is healed up by tomorrow. It's pretty sad when Kotsay is the best option in the 5 hole. He is hitting well right now, but still it is brutal. Braun in 3 and Hart in 5 looks a lot better.

Wow, this is horrible. Jim Rome is an awesome show, and they are replacing him with Bill Michaels. Lol, you gotta be kidding me. Brewers post game is the only thing I'll listen to on that station now. Pathetic.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/parkfactor Based on this, Miller Park is 7th in terms of hitters parks this year. However, in previous years it was always middle of the pack or more towards a pitchers park. So I'd probably say that it overall is in the middle. Although, this is probably slightly skewed this year based on how bad we've played on the road.

For some reason I have a hard time believing Tony Plush goes to bed before 3am. The bullpen use tonight by the Reds is nice though. I am definitely hoping for and expecting a good series from the Crew coming up. Hey, either way he'll be more rested than the Reds. It's all good.

Well, Reds beat the Cards and the game just ended. They will be getting to Milwaukee pretty late. Meanwhile, our players are at home sleeping or relaxing in the process, so hopefully that becomes an advantage. Also, the Reds emptied their bullpen tonight.

Back when the games were at 7:05, the first pitch was never until about 7:08 or 7:09. Now the games actually start at exactly 7:10, so it's actually right at least. I know exactly when the game will start.

I really don't see the point in moving back the start time 30 minutes. Don't think it matters at all. I say just leave it how it is.

If the roof is closed in hot weather I usually just go sit in the RF loge bleachers if I don't have great seats. Get a nice breeze out there, and it's way cooler. Just did that last night.

Not sure why Roenicke removed Hart and left Kotsay in to bring in Gomez there. It wasn't even a double switch.
