  1. To add to the Hall point, he may have been better average wise earlier this year, but he hasn't come through in any clutch situations. Other players on our team have been far better in those situations, especially against righties. Counsell and Gamel would both be far better options against righties in key situations. Gamel got a big hit yesterday in a clutch situation, and we've all seen Counsell succeed all year against righties. I know Counsell is also playing in this game, but in a situation like last night he would've been very useful.
  2. Ok, well Braun also hit a ground ball with the bases loaded, but the difference is that he has succeeded against righties this year when Hall hasn't. If Hall would've come through in a situation like that against a righty anytime this year maybe it would be a different story, but he hasn't. It's the continued failure that is the problem here.
  3. I don't care if he was the nicest person on the planet. He still shouldn't hit against righties. Although he did demand a trade last year because he was mad he wasn't playing everyday when he didn't deserve to.
  4. Why is the Hall bashing over the top? He's hitting .185 against righties, and continues to play and fail against them anyway. Last night and tonight he was in key situations too where a lefty would have had a better chance at success.
  5. If it's on the fly I'm definitely going under 2. Actually I'd go under 1. What's the over/under of balls he hits that get past an outfielder? In other words, hits that aren't singles.
  6. I think you're right. I also think that Hall has until the end of this weekend to pick things up, or he's into a platoon with Gamel. Because I'm predicting Gamel will do well DHing this weekend.
  7. Is this on the fly, or can it roll or bounce to the wall?
  8. I'm thinking Billy K's 5 times tonight. He has to one up himself from last night.
  9. Yes, I think it is possible that Hurricane and Duffy both go before the game tomorrow night, and Swindle and Gerut come to Milwaukee. Then, whenever The Cat is ready, Swindle goes back down. Sounds simple enough to me.
  10. Hurricane will go down now, then Duffy will follow in a week or so when The Cat is ready.
  11. Gerut is clearly an upgrade over Duffy, but so is Catalanotto, so does this mean that both Gerut and Catalanotto will be in Milwaukee soon?
  12. I wouldn't understand the point of getting Gerut. We just picked up Catalanotto.
  13. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/45571882.html Terrible reason to stick with Hall against the righty tonight. As a manager, you always go with your best chance to win the game.
  14. Hall needs to take a seat. He should've been pinch hit for by Counsell to lead off the eighth against the righty, and if not he for sure should've been right there. Especially because of how awful he looked in his previous 4 at-bats. I expected that to happen. He looks at a fastball right down main street, then swings at a ball in the dirt. Counsell would've had a guaranteed better ab right there. Hall needs to take a seat, so Gamel can play 3b everyday.
  15. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/45531227.html Looks like he could be here in a week or so.
  16. Brooks that was a great interview! We're all glad to have you here! I enjoyed every minute of your time here in Milwaukee, and wish you were back here. Thanks for the interview, it was great. I'm glad that you think so highly of this town and the fans. It really means a lot to me as a fan to hear that from a former player. Thanks a lot Brooks!
  17. I would go more with pitching outside. Although on that last one by Bush, a curveball just got away from him.
  18. I don't know what Braun was doing there but I'll still take it, and I'm sure Prince will too.
  19. I highly doubt that Prince would've been able to make a good throw home across his body. Only chance would've been Hardy.
  20. But guys, what we should be talking about is that nice performance by Bush right there to get out of that jam. Incredible.
