I don't understand how Gomez doesn't get a start coming off a 4 hit game, especially when Braun isn't playing. Instead we have Morgan and Green in there. I don't mind Green as much, but Morgan has sucked for the most part. Maysonet over Ransom doesn't really matter much.

Aoki 7 Morgan 8 Hart 9 Ramirez 5 Green 3 Weeks 4 Maldonado 2 Maysonet 6 Greinke 1 Braun getting the day off I guess. Not a very good looking lineup.

It would be awesome if Doug could get a trade like this done. Obviously it's a long shot, but that would be huge. Not sure if the Cubs would even consider a trade like that with the Brewers, but worth a call.

I'm appalled at that. People are horrible. That's just uncalled for. What is this world coming to? Luc probably feels even more horrible now. If he knew this would happen, he probably would've just said the suitcase fell on it's own.

Since Hart and now Braun have almost gotten hurt, what's the next injury gonna be? Fiers gets blinded by the shaving cream pie after the game?

He's known for his D. Didn't really hit well at all until the last few seasons. Either way, he's definitely a major league catcher at this point, as a backup though.

Apparently this is the first time ever that a pitcher and catcher have both made their first major league starts in the same game.

I don't see how this isn't a better move for Texas than giving up prospects for a guy like Greinke. They are clearly already the best team in baseball, and Oswalt will fit the bill just fine. The teams that will pine for Greinke are the ones that need that extra push. Not sure who that'll be exactly yet, but we'll see come mid-July or so. Probably teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Angels. The teams I could really see being interesting trade partners though are teams that weren't expected to compete this year, but that are hanging near the top of the standing. Teams such as the Orioles, Indians, and Nationals if they continue winning.

My guess is Kottaras plays against RHP and when Wolf pitches, and Maldonado plays against LHP and when Fiers pitches.

The main reason he's catching is because Kottaras shouldn't be. He'll probably start the next 3-4 games to continue rest Kottaras as Roenicke said. It does work out that Fiers is pitching tomorrow though. At least Kottaras should be available to pinch-hit.

He might've had his fist closed around the sock when the suitcase fell on his hand. Could've been a heavy suitcase too. So it's a plausible story. Still, it really doesn't matter. The point is that this injury is a killer. The two guys we could absolutely not afford to lose are Braun and Lucroy, and we just lost Lucroy for 4-6 weeks.

I think Maldonado is coming up tomorrow whether or not Lucroy needs to go on the DL. Kottaras is incredibly hobbled. Can't get up to throw, or run.

What I don't understand is why we didn't just decide to call up Maldonado instead of Conrad after we knew Kottaras was hurt. It would've been some protection for a few days, and then a move could've been made after that. It looks especially bad now that Lucroy got hurt too.

There must be some kind of curse on the Brewers this season. After this Lucroy injury it seems confirmed to me. And this injury was to our hottest hitter. Not good.
