  1. Rodgers was very bad last year and the traditional yards and tds and ints didn't really show it. He is the reason I don't buy this team being really bad this year. He wasn't helping the cause last season. I like the guy and hope he does well but he absolutely hindered the growth of young players last season.
  2. Dillon showed zero patience on that screen. Let the blockers block.
  3. I definitely would not have gone for it there. Hope he's not seriously hurt.
  4. Idk. TE not in right spot on the deep ball. Jones drops a screen that would have been run in for a TD. Forget the receiver (Reed?) dropped a 3rd down conversion that wasn't a good throw but was a catchable pass. I think Love has been fine. A lot to like. He looks composed and comfortable.
  5. That was some bizarre clockwork but Carlson is the kicker I've been dreaming of.
  6. Stop trying to sack Shields at his shoulder pads. It's not Kirk Cousins.
  7. I know Fields is a great athlete but it never fails to amaze me the number of professional athletes that try to tackle guys at the shoulders or stomach. The only chance at a guy like that in open field is his ankles. Not that I could do it but these are professionals.
  8. The dugout should have a net or shield or whatever. Call me Captain Wuss. That's fine. There's an inherent risk in a sport, that much is true. The pitcher taking a ball to the face, a WR getting decimated over the middle, it is an accepted risk of participation. But something like a ball in the dugout that can be prevented with 100% certainty by spending a few thousand dollars? Not doing that is negligent.
  9. Can't believe just putting a net in front of guys or some other comparable measure is being labeled as part of the "wussification of America." Sorry, there is nothing tough or manly about taking a ball to the head at 105mph. It's just stupid. Correct, it rarely happens. Correct, Adames seems (hopefully) fine. Those are not valid reasons to do nothing. Luck is the only reason he is still breathing. Do something before someone is killed at the MLB level, because it will happen. IMO they all look like idiots leaning over the dugout, this is not knee-jerk either, I think that every single game I see it. I'd be the clown on the team sitting in the dugout the entire game.
  10. I don't think the title bought him much more than a year because there were always rumblings they won in spite of him. Also, I think it was a near certainty he would have been canned in '20 had they not been in the bubble. Still, though, he was the HC that brought the title back to Milwaukee and that is worth something. I'm glad they're turning the page but I do feel bad for the human. That is an all-time brutal 2-week period for anybody. Nurse seems to be the hot item so I'm fully expecting an assistant nobody's heard of.
  11. I hope they fire him, though I don't think it'll ultimately do a whole lot. If you go back far enough I dared suggest he was on the hot seat the season after losing to Toronto. I think Covid bubble circus bailed him out. Then there was a title which buys you at least 2 seasons. Is what it is. I never, never thought I'd see the Bucks win a championship in my life, so there's that. We did get that.
  12. Don't think I agree. I think he'll be retained because of past goodwill, unfortunately the same team running it back again, and Giannis. I think next season is his job-saving tour, but I can't see this core winning it again. I doubt anyone in the office saw this coming so they are not equipped for a coaching search and I don't know of any hot candidates available. Not saying there aren't any, I legitimately don't know. Just by gut feeling they give him a pass though. I don't think he really got a "pass" last year. They went 7 games with a really good Boston team.
  13. We suck and were going to lose this series anyway, but missing the 2nd free throw on purpose, up by 1 when the opponent has a timeout, is a real head scratcher to me. At the absolute least, making it is not this super dumb bonehead call.
  14. Won't lie, with how that went, I'm glad it's over. I had zero faith in them winning 3 about halfway through the 4th. And I was tracking it on my phone without watching.
  15. Going take an awful lot to get me to care next year. Glad to see the Bucks join the tradition of Wisconsin postseason futility.
  16. Absolutely perfect ending play to that circus.
  17. 40-17 since the start of the 4th. Goodnight. This is the worst choke I've seen in the NBA in my lifetime. What a disastrous waste.
  18. Why? They had a timeout. But sweet Jesus. Choked a 16 PT lead again. Is there a soul in this state that thinks this team can win a championship this season?
  19. Vincent is Fred Van Fleet. It's just getting ridiculous. The guy is a total pumpkin for 82 and he's been a nightmare this series..
  20. I'm gonna avoid this one. Another loss is embarrassing and a win is just a small step. Think I'll save myself the investment and just hope I wake up at 1am to decent news. I still think they can do this but that's probably my own denial.
  21. You can't pretend like Giannis being out wasn't a huge factor here. It was massive. But they're all professionals. Once they're up 2-1, getting out alive is just a lot more plausible for them. At that point it was pretty much win Game 4 and this is all but over. And they needed Butler to go full MJ AND the Bucks to just completely implode in unbelievable fashion. I'm not even going to concede the Heat are better than anybody thought. I'll repeat what I've repeated: It's completely inexcusable for the Bucks to lose this series, ESPECIALLY with the losses of Herro and Oladipo. All I can say about them is that they're more like your typical 6 seed than an 8. TLDR: People should have been looking past the Heat. The Bucks should have (I guess still could) beat them. It's a catastrophic failure of execution if they don't; it doesn't invalidate the 82-game sample of what the Heat are.
  22. I think there are some pretty over-dramatic takes. I think this series is just an unreal choke and it's that simple. I'm sure Holiday and Middleton are worse than they were 3 years ago, but this was a team capable of winning again. Holiday has been much of the same guy he's always been. A strong defender and boom or bust offensively. Midds had a bad season overall, but he has always been a bit inconsistent. Ultimately when this series ends, IMO the blame lies with 3 guys - Bud, Holiday and Middleton. I still can't wrap my head around Lopez dropping 33 in a game Giannis played...and we lost...to the Heat. With Bud I don't know where to start. We can pick apart his rotations all day but the way he allowed last night to unravel without a timeout until it was way too late, just incomprehensible. He's a dope.
  23. Dude I know we are rightfully p'd off, but Middleton had some absolute monster moments in that Finals run. He's been a big disappointment this year though, there's no doubt about that. It's maybe 50/50 we lose to Boston anyway last year with him but I would have loved to have him. He is the only good Iso scorer on the team. The gap between Giannis and any 2nd best player would be massive, but I don't feel like roster construction is why we can't win the Finals. It could always be better, but we are witnessing an incredible show of ineptitude right now. This isn't just a 1v8, they are missing 2 core players. It's unfathomable. And while I was wrong that we'd beat them without Giannis, we absolutely SHOULD have, without Herro, if we have 3 borderline all-stars, a DPOY and 6th man candidate. Bud should 100% hang for this. It's just completely outrageous.
