  1. Yeah I seriously don't know what happened with Portis.
  2. Harden on one leg has pick pocketed our two star players in the same game.
  3. NBA officiating truly blows my mind sometimes. The official was going to let that reach by Tucker go, then only blew the whistle well after contact once Durant fell over. When it looked like he was going to recover, no whistle based on contact. But he falls and the late whistle comes. It's hilarious.
  4. Uh oh, they seem to have switched up the D, so Bud has to come up with something new in the middle of the game.
  5. I've never seen any player hit more contested shots than Durant. He's not the LeBron-Jordan level and Curry is a "better shooter" but I've just never seen anyone make crazy shots just look so ridiculously easy over and over again in the same game.
  6. Griffin can stop those exaggerated floppy shoulder checks into guys after whistle any minute now.
  7. Giannis also got called for a ridiculous foul against Harden in which Harden literally jumped on the floor without contact and got a whistle.
  8. He needs to work with one of the big name FT specialists and completely scrap what he's been doing. We are doomed if this isn't fixed. We don't have Kobe.
  9. Giannis is nauseating to watch. I wish we could just take an inbounds rather than free throws when he's fouled. It's gotten ridiculous.
  10. I know this would never happen, but while I was driving today I thought that even if the Bucks ISO'd their way to conference finals and won the title, I'd still want Bud fired.
  11. The problem for the Bucks this playoff has simply been playing stupid basketball. There is no reason they should have lost this series. None. They refuse to exploit Mike James defending Lopez, Giannis has his back to the basket on players 6 inches shorter than he is. And then there is the 4th quarter 1 on 5 offense. I just can't buy any argument about the Bucks having a roster problem after watching this series. Against the full strength Nets, sure, but that's the problem for almost any team and the Nets were basically never full strength this year. The Bucks could have and should have won this series. They still could, but it should have been easier. They did "their thing" and refused to play matchups. They can't adjust.
  12. Would be funny if they traded the 2 relievers they knew were most reliant on sticky stuff.
  13. Focus more on the context of thread than my behavior (i.e. when I come, etc.). We've both been here for nearly 20 years and yet as a moderator, your posts continue to be piss-poor example of the standards. The same context can be made without worrying about my post activity and finding a trend. I don't need to predict anyone will go 7/8, but when you have a 17 pt lead, there is one quick way for the opponent to get back in the game and the Bucks just can't defend that one thing. Can't really isn't the problem. They have no desire to. Their leadership has no desire to. Just, "aww shucks, I guess they hit another open one again" "rats, good game guys". I'm pretty certain he was 6/6 and they were still down quite a bit. It's an odd take to focus on the 3 pt defense to me when anyone watching that game could see the Bucks had absolutely no offensive strategy whatsoever in the 4th quarter. It was literally stand around with ball, dribble for 16 seconds, shoot at end of clock without a pass. I wanted to throw a shoe at the TV.
  14. That's a legitimate insult to Bango.
  15. The case for dismissing Murphy has already been half-made by him needlessly disclosing info and commenting publicly on stuff. It would seem easy to just say he's doing a bad job in managing a crisis and let go of him. That said, I'm also sick of Lord Aaron. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he is only mildly upset and went through this whole circus just to come back and enjoy a "Thank you Aaron!" moment from the fans. You know, the kind of thing a kid does.
  16. So in a small sample where he's been playing well he's still slugging 26 points less than his career average. I'm afraid the Yelich we paid for is not the Yelich we are going to get for that extension. That was sort of given to me. However I was hoping to at least get an all-star for 5 years or so. Not Year 7 Braun in Year 1.
  17. You really think they should fire the team president over some vague, mysterious dispute with a QB in his late 30s? The same guy that doesn't talk to his family or any ex-teammates that mildly displease him? I also think Murphy is a bit of a tool, I am just surprised to hear that. I suppose anyone could do Murphy's job.
  18. I've liked Holiday. He's fallen into the same trap of occasionally doing the ISO thing, but overall I like what he brings to the table. He can shoot and knows when to attack the basket. I don't know if the Bucks need another 30ppg ability guy or just a scheme that is better at bringing out the best in them. The latter is really their only way out of this, so the former doesn't matter too much. I dunno if I preferred Beal. Probably. But I think they'd still be where they are.
  19. The most depressing part is that there just isn't anywhere for the Bucks to go from here. There is no logical way they get Lillard or something. There is no reinforcement coming. The only hope you have is that they fire the coach and someone else makes a difference, but I am just not sure that's a realistic outcome. They're married to what they have and it feels like it would have been good enough about 15 years ago, but not anymore when stars collude to play together. Can't even use that excuse this season though. They had their golden chance and blew it.
  20. Giannis developing a fadeaway is fine. Going to that fadeaway when you're defended by a 6'5 statue with one good leg is not. It was an idiotic decision at a crucial part in the game that possibly lost it.
  21. Did Patrick Ewing bring that ball up as a PG half the game and stand around the perimeter chucking 3s? My point wasn't that those guys are the same player, my point was that you don't see those guys doing stupid things outside of their skill set, like Shaq handling the ball at the top of the key. Obviously Giannis has a better handle than Shaq but the Lakers were keenly aware of his limitations. Obviously having Kobe helps a little. It's time to be honest about what Giannis is. What he needs to develop are post moves, not his 3-pt shot. The Bucks are never winning a championship on the strength of Giannis shooting 3s. And yeah, sorry, but, Giannis is much closer to Shaq than Garnett or Durant. He can't hold Durant's jock if we are talking about as an overall player. Durant is a closer you want shooting the ball the entire 4th quarter. With Giannis, he's unstoppable in the right circumstance, but you end up watching the game hoping he doesn't have the ball in his hands at the end, a) so he doesn't take a stupid shot, like that ridiculous fadeaway over Gimp Harden, and b) when he gets fouled you wince and hope for 1 point. I thought this was pretty brutal and on-point this morning: https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nets-bucks-giannis-antetokounmpo-is-not-that-guy-and-mike-budenholzer-is-not-that-coach/ I love Giannis, I think he's a great player. NBA first-team is deserved. But there are things he can't do and we should stop asking him to do those things. The free throws need to improve, but the rest of these things are limitations that need to be schemed around, not just attempted over and over with the same result.
  22. I would actually believe the Bucks could win this series if I had an ounce of faith in Bud making any obvious adjustment to exploit the matchup. It is very telling when you're up 16 at halftime and the hosts of the show spend the block of time talking about how dumb the team is and showing tape of poor offensive structure. I don't know if I've ever seen that before. You always hear people harping on the defense allowing 3s, I can actually live with that. The ISO ball on offense that took over the entire 4th quarter is just utterly unwatchable. I expect the Bucks to win Game 6, then get blown out in 7 or this exact same choke routine again. I'm pretty much done with all WI teams until it's 00:00. I'm not going to be roped into believing in any of these teams again.
  23. Yeah I tend to agree. This was the gift and we choked. Like every team from this state for 10 years.
  24. Giannis isn't overrated, he's just exactly what he is, a dominant post player, but we have him bringing the ball up, randomly shooting 3s and he's taking fadeaway jumpers in crunch time. Did you see Shaq do that? Patrick Ewing? Giannis fine. He needs to be better at the line, but he is not a do-everything player, and the Bucks need a scheme that concedes that. His biggest problem right now is that you can't run your offense through him during foul fest, which is a problem, but this "overrated" stuff is just a result of a scheme that constantly puts him in stupid situations. He does a lot of dumb things, yes, but they've got to stop pretending he's KD. He's not.
  25. That's our superstar with the ball between his legs.
