  1. This would be unbelievable if it weren't so predictable.
  2. This isn't going well.
  3. What happened to our ball movement?
  4. Good grief Giannis
  5. Every time they seem poised to have a run, some non Giannis player hits a big shot which has been great to see.
  6. This is going about how I thought a game would go when the Bucks finally shot really well. I just wasn't sure we'd get to see it again the way things were going.
  7. I'm really surprised you can say that with that much confidence after the results the last couple seasons. I think in 2019 we seemed to be head and shoulders above the Raptors the first two games who seemed to be running on fumes. Up 2-0 on them there was no good reason to think we weren't going to the NBA Finals and then just like that everything fell apart and we didn't even win another game. I am less worried about the Sixers and Hawks as I am about the Bucks and which Bucks team we would see. At their best the Bucks I believe are the best of those 3 teams but if they played anything like their first 3 games this series they would lose to either. Embiid is gassed, and Atlanta is just not that team. They could beat the Bucks once or twice, not 4/7. This current game however seems too easy...I am not expecting this to continue.
  8. Anyone ever injured their hamstring? There is no way he is ready to go if he couldn't play 50 seconds like 10 days ago. It may feel fine walking around, but a few sprints up and down and not only is it going to hurt, it's going to reset the entire clock. It is one of the most annoying and frustrating minor injuries there is. Fire up the transition as soon as you get the ball in your hands. There is no way he can keep up with that kind of game.
  9. If the Bucks get past Brooklyn they'll stomp whatever team comes out of the other side. I get the pessimism but the Bucks are a very good team. The West is a different story, but the Sixers are on fumes and the Hawks are not good enough. I am more worried about Durant + a random pumpkin scoring 25 points than the Sixers.
  10. Anyone else just completely in the "trade him" camp. I think it's probably due to years of coming up short, but I just find myself not all that affected by the prospect of shipping him off.
  11. That's how franchise QBs work. Ask the teams with crappy QBs if they'd find $40 million for Rodgers. Jared Goff is a $31mm cap hit in 2022.
  12. Nets fans are convinced Giannis hurt Kyrie on purpose even on the most benign and routine play possible. Or that it was a result of refs letting things get too physical. They did call the last game loosely, but that play is about as bad of an example as it gets.
  13. For the MVP of the league that is extremely cap friendly. If he was near as good as he was last year, that's cap friendly. The $28mm is small potatoes if he's even decent.
  14. I'm going to say Game 5 is the biggest game of Giannis's career to this point. He needs to carry the Bucks past a battered, very good team. If that means dropping 50, now is the time, preferably with only a couple 3-point attempts. It's going to be tough to explain not getting that done without Harden and Kyrie. Even if one manages to play, there's no way they will be going at full speed. I can't imagine Irving being able to go.
  15. Lord Rodgers is in a bit of hard spot himself because I'm sure he wants to scorch the ground Murphy walks on, I am not as sure he is willing to light his reputation in the state and with the fans on fire. Murphy keeps getting a big head in public and needlessly talking, Rodgers may eventually get his way anyway. First alarm with Murphy was needlessly listing his credentials to the media a couple years ago, now publicly calling Rodgers difficult without actually saying it. Guy needs to shut up. Gute doesn't have an ego, but Murphy does.
  16. I couldn't care less about the misfortune of injuries. It's about time something goes WI's way in one of these big time games. We lost DDV and yes he's not even close to Harden or Kyrie, I will take anything at all that gets the Bucks into a Finals.
  17. With the latest tidbit from Murphy, I am really beginning to doubt that Rodgers ever plays for GB again.
  18. I sort of feel like the Bucks have to just run the table and close this out in Milwaukee. Less time for the Nets to get healthy and avoiding a Game 7 on the road with NBA officiating.
  19. Personally I think that teams view Rodgers as closer to someone who will be good as long as Brady has been good vs. someone like Manning that had nerve and neck problems at the same age and there was less confidence about the state of his body. Rodgers hasn't had serious injuries unless we go back 15 years or so to his ACL. And no I don't consider broken collarbones as serious injuries. At 38, you could still be looking at 4-5 seasons.
  20. I also really don't believe he would lose much trade value if any at all. There are always a handful of teams that will feel confident they can win right now with an all-world QB. It only takes one team that really wants a guy, we don't need 31 teams that have confidence in a 38 year old QB who sat a while. The return is far more dependent on the suitor's circumstances than the age or sitting time of Rodgers. If there's a team or teams that goes through this season with an awesome defense and feels they are right there but need that QB, then his value remains sky high. If a team was willing to trade two firsts or something right now, and another team thinks they are Rodgers away from a championship, I'm pretty confident that offer would stick next season.
  21. I've accepted at this point that people will never stop doing the "We have this guy, we don't NEED that guy!" thing, but it blows my mind still. Literally every season, there is some position we are "deep" at, then 3 weeks into the season we realize we really aren't for any number of reasons, regression, injury, etc., and suddenly it's a position of need. The best way to build a team is simply to get as many good players together as possible. Yeah, there is some common sense to be used as far as filling as filling a roster, but hybrid FB/TE, blockers, WRs, LBs...you can really never have too many of them.
  22. Giannis had 33 and 14 last night. He's not a shooter, he needs to stop launching 3s, and the FTs are a major problem, but he's fine. If Middleton hadn't shown up, they'd have lost by 30 again. They are getting nothing from anybody not named Giannis. Somebody, anybody, has to step up and do something of note in this series for them to have a chance. They need the unheralded player stepping up, the Fred VanVleet or Blake Griffin.
  23. Agreed, hopefully this one is the break they needed.
  24. They don't have a great defense. The Bucks have had plenty of looks in this series. It's mystifying.
