    Love's situational lack of awareness is apalling. Preserve the FG at all costs is your #1 priority there.

    I don't have a big problem with Gute. He swings. You will miss when you swing. I can confidently say I strongly prefer this strategy to the days of Frank Walker being the biggest signing for 3 or 4 years. His job is talent acquisition and lack of talent is not the issue with this team. The coach is mediocre and would have been fired already if not for one of the best QBs ever playing his first few years with a chip on his shoulder.

    There was a point where the Browns were excused because their defense was really good and their prior games were the offense's fault. Don't look at their defensive performances since playing the Packers.

    17 plays for 48 yards. Passing offense has a net of 1 yard halfway through the 2nd quarter. Matt should be unemployed by Valentine's Day. Ideally sooner but I'm realistic.

    Yeah I had to go back to Joe Johnson to find a bust of this magnitude. We had air balls since then but they were guys like Jimmy Graham or Martellus Bennett on small or short deals. Banks looks like an absolute disaster especially when we could have just resigned our own guy and left Jenkins at guard. Sure is looking like Slaton should have been kept too. Definitely in favor of spending for Hobbs. Maybe would have kept Slaton if they knew they were trading Clark.

    Trying not to complain about everything but it looked like we had a ton of green space to navigate on that PR but somehow just jet right into the cluster for a gain of 5 yards.

    No? That was a play action pass that Love bobbled. Same difference though. We're at 12 plays for 24 yards. Longest gain is that 12 yard run by Love for a failed 3rd down conversion. I truly hate this offense.

    Even not being disingenuous, 8 plays 26 yards is a perfect example of what's wrong here.

    And that was pretty much the exact issue with the Packers offense exemplified on that drive.

    Actual Packer offense: middling in actual scoring, which is what counts, and 23 points combined in losses to Carolina and Cleveland. EPA actually pinpoints exactly how much MLF sucks. They move the ball just fine, but don't score. Not really the glowing measure you think it is.

    The only silver lining of Kraft getting hurt is that if MLF is forced to stop running 1995-2015 Wisconsin Badgers offense, but I don't know if I have that much confidence in him.

    I think they'll play well and win. Seems to be the theme of the season. Play to the level of the opponent. Philly's defense is bad. I think Love will play well. I could see it going sideways with Saquon humiliating us, but I think the home field will be enough.

    The Kraft injury takes a lot out of the sails for me this season. I don't have really high hopes and I've lost faith in MLF and losing your best skill player on offense is rough. I think they can probably muster this game out but this schedule is brutal from Thanksgiving on. Best hope is they get HFA and the Parsons effect becomes bigger when the weather turns and their rush takes over games. They look soft in the middle on both sides of the ball and that is not good for playoff football. If they can pull off Packer magic and gel the OL before January that changes things. But my good feeling right now is "more of the same". 1st or 2nd round exit.

    I mean, that is sort of exactly what I envisioned happening here. The QO will at least make him have to think about staying/make another team really pay up and commit. It's a smart move by the Brewers imo, no long-term consequence if he accepts, and at least makes someone else take a real risk. Someone will have to offer him $23/1 to get him to go, or commit years. Maybe they are planning to trade Peralta and want the stability? Who knows, Either way I think they thought it through and are happy to eat the $22m for a year if he takes it.

    That's literally my point. He is getting the $10 million regardless. So the question to ask is not if he's worth a $32 million contract next year. I very clearly said it isn't $10m or $22m. The $10m is a sunk cost. Point is if they offer him $10 and $12 he quite possibly goes some place else and we are still paying the $10.

    If he accepts for $22,000 that's incredible. That said I agree. The offers shows we are going to try and do something next year, IMO.

    It isn't a question of $32 million. The question to ask yourself is would you rather pay $22 million for Woodruff to pitch for the Brewers or $10 million for him to pitch for someone else. They likely made the QO for that exact reason. $10 million for a guy to play somewhere else is just an awful use of resources for the Brewers. And it doesn't screw them over long term. It is an easy question for me because they won't get a better SP to sign for one year and $22 million. Hypothetically if they did, it would still be at a cost of $32 million as they'd still pay Woodruff.
