  1. Hard as he really isn't throwing much out of the zone. There's not a lot we can do right now other than hope it's 0-0 when he has to sit down.
  2. We are gonna have to get a lucky blind home run off this guy to shake him.
  3. Kind of play that makes you believe in Angel Uecker stuff.
  4. I'm not sure what distance is via Google maps because it probably doesn't show the path everyone takes. 15-20 minutes. You walk past the VA and through a park with a walking path that ends directly in front of the stadium. Other people will be doing it. You can possibly get closer on the side streets, but Target is a good spot to grab peanuts or something and your car will be fine there.
  5. Don't mind that tbh. Clears Ortiz and starts over with Chourio in the 4th. It just feels mean piling on Ortiz, but Jesus. His ABs are what NFL extra points used to be. Use the potty, refill your snacks.
  6. And if you're that worried about it, park at Target and walk. It really isn't bad.
  7. It really isn't any different than a regular weekend game. Same number of people going in. There will be weekday traffic and the logjam getting in, but the playoff games have never been super crazy.
  8. Snell is on. 7-8-9 in this series may be genuinely painful to watch.
  9. The truth is that baseball is so susceptible to random outcomes that it really doesn't matter that we swept them 6-0 or that they're "better" than us. If you inserted the Pirates into the World Series they would have a fair chance of winning it. This is far more true in baseball than any of the other major sports. We don't have to be better than the Dodgers to beat them and the fact that we beat them 6 times doesn't mean we'll beat them 10 times. But the best part of that is you always have a chance. I don't buy for a second that we're some crazy longshot. We could get swept, sure, but that would also be more of a random outcome than anything else.
  10. I get being leery of 2-3-2 because it does put some pressure on you to go up 2-0. We very nearly did that in 2018 but Jeffress had a bad outing. Game 4 was the backbreaker. We were up 2-1 and going for 3-1 but lost in the 13th. The home field wasn't much of an advantage that time around. But I agree this isn't going to be decided by the format. I just prefer having home field because I think it's somewhat likely we get clinching chances in 6/7 and I have tickets.
  11. This defense is not forcing turnovers at all. It feels less relevant because they've usually won, and because they don't really give the ball away either. But they have 2 interceptions. The first in Week 1 which arguably hit the ground, and the other was a play where they should have knocked the ball down. They're going to have to get better there.
  12. It's October and we don't have to be a great team yet, but we aren't one.
  13. We're better positioned to beat LA than we were in 2018. I said what I said. Doesn't mean it happens. But I believe it.
  14. Priester. Home game. Give him a boost to get his confidence back. We can't finish this without him playing well.
  15. Actually, perusing their reddit, minutes after losing, quite a few are pulling for us.
  16. Thank God. Miz is an animal. Sure he went through some growing pains but he was absolutely huge twice in this series. Rick was correct. This was our finest hour. A wonderful moment for this city, this franchise.
  17. Just going to pray things go well tonight. I'll miss the first 60-90 minutes, I'm sure I'll know what's happening, but, I'm OK with missing it if things go off the tracks early on. Hoping for the best, but have had a couple days to brace for the worst.
  18. Seriously. "Well, we really have to win this one, so, I'm going with the best lineup."
  19. He won't close a game we're losing. Going down early again is a great way to ensure that happens. Fair, but toss out "closer" for this game. Just throw the guy who's in the game assuming we're in a position to close. We don't have to have a special guy come in for the sake of "closing." They should be in our head because frankly you would have to try to give up 4 straight first inning homers. We need to put a 0 on the board regardless of how it makes them feel. Not wrong, but every SP has blown up in our face.
  20. All of the rational analysis doesn't seem to cancel out the fact that Craig Counsell getting doused in Gatorade at AmFam as an opponent just seems like a classic entry in the Encyclopedia of Wisconsin Sports Pain. It just feels like that has already been written.
  21. It is indeed textbook that the Brewers fail in the playoffs. I don't know why you're pretending that everybody expecting the Brewers to lose is dooming. It's very much the thing that has happened over and over again. It requires a much bigger leap of faith to think the Brewers are going to win this game. It's comical to me to see the spin some are trying to put on this. It's far more delusional to think the Brewers are going to come through in a big moment than it is to assume we're blowing this series - again.
