  1. You've gotta let Chourio come in on that one. Just a staggering level of buffoonery on display tonight that I hope didn't get anyone hurt.
  2. I don't think so. You play 162 games. There is just no way to mask that. Can't do that without actually being really good. Luck is a much bigger factor in baseball than anyone wants to admit. The Dodgers have made themselves a bit of an outlier with their silly video game team, but I've never really seen it as some indictment on the Brewers that they happened to usually lose Wild Card games, Game 6s or 7s or one game play-ins. It's just kind of how it goes. I don't take anything out of 2011 or 2018 or 2025 other than we just happened to lose and it was painful. But I don't think it's some organizational failure.
  3. Not great from Jackson but getting on the board there felt big. At least keeps us in it for a bit.
  4. I mean he smoked that pitch and we're honestly probably winning this game right now under most circumstances. Lots of bad luck and uncharacteristic miscues the last inning.
  5. No Brewers fan could possibly think everything is okay, but I'm so accustomed to failure it doesn't hurt me anymore and I prefer to just hold onto the hope that for once it might actually be ok.
  6. I'll always favor the bye because it's fewer games you have to win. But I don't even think that's really a huge deal. I'm pretty calm at the moment simply because if we swept this series and went up 12 games it wouldn't change anything once the NLDS started. Everyone would have the same anxiety, the same panic on every play...just not going to stress about these games. Too much will change between now and when it counts.
  7. Very bad slide from Jackson. He's in there with better technique.
  8. It should be Miz, Henderson, bullpen game. He shouldn't be out there at all if he's throwing 91 still and not unless they're up 2-0.
  9. The good thing about Yelich is I think we'll never sign an established MLB player to a long-term deal ever again. Think we've sent that ship out to sea. The only extensions we're doing are Pratt/Chourio deals. But we're not signing veterans for 10 years anymore. We can't and shouldn't.
  10. Did anyone think Harrison was really as good as his stats? I know I didn't. I mean there's no taking away from the production and he did what he did. But I was never buying the guy as one of the best SP in baseball.
  11. I always thinks it's funny when people complain the announcer is too nice to the other team. Completely indifferent on BA leaving though. Strongly prefer Levering.
  12. Yes, that's why I have a harder time seeing it blow over. I hated Favre at the end, but came around to indifference. Notably because he never won it in Minnesota, and we won it shortly after. Most of the time when a revered figure bails from anywhere, people come around. LeBron is fine in Cleveland etc. Giannis will be fine in MKE. Counsell bailed when everything was pretty good, things were trending upward, and he went to the #1 rival. I just have a hard time seeing people give Craig a standing O at some ceremony 15 years from now. I think...maybe...if the Brewers do win a WS, and Craig never does with the Cubs...that tends to soften people's stance.
  13. The statement itself isn't a big deal. It's that he's saying it on August 31 with 7 head-to-head games left. Even if you put little stock in these types of interviews, like I do, it's a weird thing for a coach to say out loud.
  14. I gotta say, most of the time I see grudges washing over. I knew Favre would be fine in GB. I knew Rodgers would be. I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Craig is welcomed back to American Family.
  15. The Rams are the Super Bowl favorite, and they should be I guess, but that is one old team. Matthew Stafford: 38 Aaron Donald: 35 Tyler Higbee: 33 Davante Adams: 33 - Doesn't make sense. Feels like this guy should be 38 by now. Myles Garrett: 30 Poona Ford: 30
  16. I don't see the Cubs taking the division even if they were to sweep this series, which I don't think they will. Issue with dropping 3/4 is more about the seeds at this point than the division. You want one of those byes and ATL and LAD are just not fading. Doesn't seem to be a big difference between 1 or 2 though. The current "reward" for the 1 seed is PHL/CHC. Yay. Hate fixed bracketing though. Makes no sense to me that if AZ were to beat LA (lol), that we aren't playing the Dbacks.
  17. They are probably looking at it like they can wait it out for free because once he's suspended by the NFL, the games he was on the exempt list count toward the suspension and he is required to forfeit salary for those games. When they know what the discipline is they can decide to cut him or not.
  18. That's why McCord just doesn't matter. In the best case scenario where he's a future star, it's not here anyway. They can't stash upside at backup QB. They need a plug in play for a week or 2 Love can't play. That was always gonna be Taylor.
  19. I was tooting the cut Jacobs horn pretty loud last season, but at the end of the year it was like he got some rest he needed or something and he was suddenly looking pretty good again. Doesn't matter now regardless. I think he's played his last down. That video is going to get released and it is going to be very bad.
  20. The second worst thing about Josh Jacobs is the excuse he's going to be for 50% of Packers fans when we're all complaining in March that MLF hasn't been fired after missing the playoffs.
  21. This is hardly crystal ball. There's a rational argument they needed a RB if Jacobs had won MVP last year.
  22. If Wilson were still on the roster I'd kind of shrug over this. He looked more explosive to me anyway. I still don't know why they just cast him off without really anyone behind them. They must really believe in somebody.
