  1. The game just has the vibe of being an absolute wet fart.
  2. I wouldn't have pulled him at this point. Would've made him get out of it and try to give you 3 or 4 and try again in G4 if you don't find any offense. Now we put 8 innings on the pen in a loss.
  3. Darling might have to change his pants. Jesus.
  4. Requires someone to have a play on the ball, ump correctly discerned that nobody located the ball. Actually quite heads up umpiring.
  5. Gee thanks. I think we know this. 2-0 isn't the near-lock that 3-0 in a 7-gamer is, is kind of the point. Teams lose 3 baseball games in a row all the time during the season. You don't even have to go back 10 years to see a team blowing a 2-0 lead in a 5-game series. It's not like it happens all the time, but it's really not that remarkable. Plus, any series that goes 3 games without a sweep is 2-1. TLDR is, this thing ain't over. My predictions, however, Brewers 3-0 over Cubs Brewers 4-2 over Dodgers Brewers 4-3 over Blue Jays
  6. If his hamstring is significantly hurt, it's not going to get better with a day or two of rest. It would be ideal if they just won today without him and he got a full week off. It'll linger even after that, but perhaps heal to the point he can DH or play lazy defense. He has youth on his side, but hammies suck and they're the kind of thing that heal 95% but go back to 0% if you over-exert while trying to go again. You really need like a good month off at a minimum to get them to where there's minimal concern. I could see it being a non-factor in the World Series if he didn't play until then, but they need him to play.
  7. This "not stressful" game will get stressful fast. 2-0 is really nothing. Teams come back from that in 7 gamers all the time. 2-1 playing a game in Wrigley is not a far leap to a Game 5, which I absolutely want no part of. Just TCB tonight and put them down.
  8. Nonsense. We have been living rent-free there for about 5 years. Seems at odds with this: "I hate the Brewers. This is not like a cheesehead football situation where I hate the Packers, but I love Aaron Rodgers. No, no, no, no. This is hateful. The Brewers have reached almost Cardinals stature in terms of being hated in Chicago. The Brewers are completely hateable." -Michael Wilbon
  9. I couldn't agree more. It "worked" because they got two magical three-run bombs and bailed him out. It was teetering on nightmarish. Ashby was bad, if they had to use Miz while losing it could have gone very differently. Nothing about that move screams "wow, genius." But they did win, and now they have Priester, Peralta and Quintana in the chamber.
  10. Counsell is such a douche. I wasn't too upset when that all went down, I understood it, but the way he acts and talks since then has made him so unlikeable. I actually think his legacy may be worse if the Brewers do win a championship this year. It's hard to see a scenario in which people are applauding him during some reunion ceremony. I'm sure they will down the line, but the guy can stay in Illinois for all I care.
  11. Dude first row behind the plate was yapping up that blonde the entire last inning. Like there wasn't a game happening.
  12. Well it wasn't about the money. He has to reset the market for all the impoverished MLB managers. That's just the kind of guy Greg is. The $8 million a year was for everyone. Symbolically. Literally it was for him though.
  13. The look of defeat on Greg's face declining to challenge that was beautiful.
  14. It's heartbreaking that the Brewers came back. Somebody just stick a pie in Darling's face already.
  15. Could not be happier for the night Miz had. That has to feel good. Hopefully he becomes the October hero. Make sure we get a win out of it now. That was a clutch performance.
  16. They're up by 4. I wouldn't touch Miz until they score a run. There's not any need to bring anyone in until there's a threat.
  17. I mean I would have taken 1 but 3 will do.
  18. Getting one across here would be massive.
  19. Who cares? Tony La Russa's off-season team?
  20. Miz sure is a frustrating rollercoaster. Just too many free passes but can look so good a batter before or after.
