  1. Not sure why anyone would feel that being at either of these games was a flex.
  2. I still have optimism against my better judgement that the travel day is good for us and we show up in LA with a little energy. Maybe get 2/3 and get it back home. Idk. Not expecting it but this team has fought all year.
  3. Yeah I don't quite get that either but whatever. Seemed like a relevant enough baseball related topic. Weird thing to cut off given what else is allowed to unravel organically.
  4. It was until the bottom of the 9th, which is understandable when you don't hit the ball out of infield. But you are taking the concept of the Brewers poor play influencing the fans' energy very personally for some incredibly bizarre reason.
  5. Meh. They beat their divisional rival and mocked them. Not that deep.
  6. It's so raucous that you're here during a game you're attending. Talk about a wild crowd!
  7. You must not be sitting behind the plate, because they've been on their ass 98% of both nights, justifiably.
  8. I have been to about a dozen playoff games. None this year. And I don't need to go to them to tell you that the environment at Wrigley was superior to these, even if that hurts your little feelings for some reason. The events transpiring on the field tend to have a large effect on the environment. This is shocking to you for some reason and very hurtful. I'm sorry.
  9. I do have a basis for making that statement. The basis is that they have barely gotten out of their seats, whereas they almost never sat down at Wrigley. It was an entire 2 innings before anyone at Wrigley sat down in Game 3. I really don't need to be there to see that. It's not a personal insult, relax. The games have sucked. They're getting their ass kicked, which tends to suck the air out of stadium. It's not that deep.
  10. Yeah, sorry, I'm not gonna put this on Murphy lol.
  11. I agree that this is a great season regardless of this series. However I'm totally at peace with a sweep. Kinda prefer that slow and less painful death than another game 7 gut punch I have to replay for 6 months.
  12. I am serious. They've barely gotten out of their seats. I hate to admit this, but the crowds at Wrigley have a lot more consistent energy than ours. Again, this is not a criticism of our fans. We have done almost nothing in this series to excite anyone outside of the 9th inning last night and the leadoff batter tonight. These have been brutally unentertaining games.
  13. I think beating this version of this team 4/7, playing the postseason version of baseball, we needed their bus to crash on the way to the park.
  14. It wasn't a knock on the fans. The crowd has been fine, but they have had no reason to be enthusiastic. It's been a library in there 2 nights in a row.
  15. I can't say I'm surprised by the results, just bummed this hasn't been fun to watch. The crowd has been lifeless both nights. It's been a weird couple of games. We're not getting annihilated on the scoreboard, but it feels comfortable for them and like everything is a major struggle for us. Technically close, but it doesn't feel like we can win.
  16. May as well give up 10 runs if we aren't going to score.
  17. Hoskins would have brought more than Yelich has at this point. Yikes.
  18. Not a fan of the guy but I believe that was Tom Grossi along the first baseline.
  19. We're at least hitting the ball hard, which always annoys me when I hear other people say it, but after last night I'll take what I can get. Feels like we can eventually string something together tonight.
  20. He's in Adames category to me. Good player that I appreciated but happy to see him go.
  21. We got nothin' on these guys. Sorry. There is just too much juicy up and down the lineup. I'm not even mad.
  22. I know you can't ask for more from a leadoff batter but having someone on base for our bombs would be nice.
