  1. Well I guarantee that the Cubs or Cardinals are losing tonight.
  2. So none of the 4 teams finish under .500, and three of them win 7 games. Super unlikely.
  3. That's more what I meant, poorly stated. They placed the claim on Smith and then had no use for Davis, and like you said, a guy that provides CB depth was more useful than a replaceable WR. But I just realized Smith took Greene's spot, so there should still be some roster move. Smith was a PR in college.
  4. Super unlikely we get close to the division without a wild card in our back pocket. I can't envision that happening.
  5. I think it's pretty obvious they claimed Tremon Smith because they knew they were getting rid of Davis. Smith will be the PR. It would surprise me if he isn't.
  6. I think the Cubs are going to fade. We'll visit Washington for the wild card.
  7. WC1 is totally in play. The Nationals also don't have the day off remaining everyone else does.
  8. IMO the Cubs are sort of the dead team walking, so I just don't see them doing the Brewers many favors with STL. No Baez, no Rizzo, an entire season of disappointment. They are the one of the three that just appears fatigued. The Brewers seem to have caught a second wind and the Cardinals are just Cardinaling.
  9. Division is a big reach at this point. You kinda needed to pick up a game last night with Scherzer going but it didn't work out. The Cards could go 5-5 and the Brewers would have to finish 8-2. And that would only force 163.
  10. If the Cubs win we undid last night have 2 fewer games left. Blech.
  11. Not sure what's garbage? The call is correct.
  12. No one said it was but I'd rather lose 10-0 and be out of it in the 2nd than lose 2-1 at this point in the year.
  13. Going to really suck if we can't get this one, even more if the Cubs win. I'd rather we do the 10-0 thing if we're going to lose because you can at least rest arms. But if we stay in this we're going to tax guys that matter and then come up short.
  14. Slightly surprising as he had been the PR.
  15. The Reds series concerns me as well. And you have to think we'll slow down at least a little bit. That Nats loss dropped our odds a couple point. But, if we play well, we'll find a way in. Can't wait for the Cubs/Cards series to start. At least somebody is losing.
  16. I suspect their playoff odds will be high 80s after this loss. So the odds the Brewers were of not making it just a couple days ago.
  17. Nats chances of missing are low but not THAT low. Say Cardinals go 4-3 over the Cubs and 1-2 vs Dbacks. Cubs Win tonight, take two from Pitt. STL 90-72 CHC 88-74 Brewers finish 7-4...89-73 Yeah this is all unlikely, but crazier stuff has happened. If they haven't created some separation heading to the Cleveland series...and Philly will not lay down. I think WAS worst scenario is that STL and CHC split 4-3. It's moot if they finish strong but if they don't...man it's all just a headache.
  18. The Brewers have really changed this race drastically. The Nationals don't exactly play deadbeats and end the season with Cleveland which could be totally wild. It's conceivable they miss the playoffs. Just insane, they appeared to be a lock.
  19. I couldn't care less who the Brewers play in a wild card. I'd prefer it at home but I really don't care. It's one game.
  20. My emotions are at the point now where this feels like a Brewers loss.
  21. Yeah so the new details emerging are...this guy is done.
  22. Not necessarily. If St. Louis wins the division, then yeah, it seems impossible they both do. But not all that far fetched for the Cubs to squeeze it out and the Cards to squeak in as a WC. The Brewers would have to be pretty lousy, but with 11 left still pretty realistic.
